Every activity besides patrol and adventures matchmake you into a fireteam. A great majority of the game requires a fireteam and teamwork. Any of the end game activities require fireteams, save for a very few example like Throne, Whisper, and Zero Hour. There is no such thing as solo players in Destiny, just players who can’t fit into a team environment.
I get that it’s sometimes difficult to find people you click with, but Destiny is made to be a team based game. Playing Solo greatly reduces the activities you can partake in which reduces the fun you can have with the game.
Solo players, why don’t you want to partake in the full experience?

6 AntwortenThis is purely my opinion, I consider myself a solo player.... I understand it’s a multiplayer game and I’ve never complained but I simply don’t have friends that play D2 and I still enjoy it so I play. only go into pvp for the weekly/daily prime engrams, and it’s usually Rumble. I stay afk until the match is over... (I don’t want to mess up a team by going into qp) I use lfg whenever necessary (for the outbreak, also I help out whoever I see asking for help) I’m horrible at pvp, not skilled at all and I’m mediocre at best at pve.... I still enjoy myself every single day. For someone like me, and again, it’s just my take... I’m just not good... I don’t want to mess up anybody else and their game. I see a lot of people take these things seriously (raids, comp, exotic missions) so I don’t even attempt half the time because I don’t want to bring their experience down and then get rude messages following whatever I decide to join. Regardless, I log my happy ass in here everyday and play like everyone else.... I’m just limited to what I play compared to someone like you. Did I just ramble? I did, I just rambled. Lol 🤦🏻♀️

3 AntwortenThere's a difference between solo players and solo queue players. I say most people are solo queue players not solo players.

A solo player is someone who overall plays by themselves. They can raid and do stuff but they mainly solo. Some people don’t have the commitment for groups or are inept in some group aspect so they don’t

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von Corrick II: 5/11/2019 4:16:05 PMMaybe my friends list is full of people who don’t play Destiny? Maybe my luck on LFG has been utter garbage in D2? Maybe my personality type is one that enjoys doing what I want to do without having to juggle the wants and needs of 2-5 other strangers? Maybe people are different than you? And playing solo doesn’t lock you out of the majority of content, I can easily clear a good 75-80% of weeklies and dailies without a team. The only thing it really affects are raids and nightfalls and the odd quest that is a pain to solo. I accepted long ago that there are just some things I won’t get, but the benefit of playing how I want to play exceeds the need to bang my head against a raid with a group of randos that can’t stop eating chips, taking smoke breaks, or complaining about how their sandwich is cut (true story).

6 AntwortenI used to be in a clan of players around my age. Big clan. When D2 came out we had to create 3 clans to fit everyone. Sadly I got out into a clan of people I didn't know. I have anxiety of dealing with people I don't know over a headphone. So with D2 I had no desire to do anything in a group. My kid who shares the account was playing more than me so he joined a new clan of people his age. I don't want to listen to squeakers so I play solo. Luckily everything we need he can acquire with his friends. I've accomplished quite a bit as a soloist in this game. Got Malfeasance, oxygen, broadsword, and delirium by myself. Lastly I'm not one that gripes or complains about Destiny not being friendly to soloist. I knew what I was getting into with the game.
