Firstly I'm not here to trash the game I used be a really big fan of the original game. Really enjoyed it to its full extent however, I lost interest about a month into the 2nd one, wasn't a fan of the new secondary/primary gun system, lack of LMGs and re-rollable gun perks. The way missions were structured on maps. The way crucible tried to focus less on abilities and more on gunplay(slower ability/super charge, less customization on subclasses, etc)
With lack of 6v6 fun modes.
New maps felt small and clausterphobic, compared to the D1 maps.
Overall I'm just asking what's new and is it worth it to come back?
-
Besides the whole mission thing, everything else has been changed. I’d recommend waiting until the next major expansion, though, since you’ll get everything else for a LOT cheaper

Been going back and forth playing through BL2 again. The writing and VO work on Borderlands is just so fantastic, and all the weapons . But then it’s nice to come back to Destiny for the crispy gunplay. If only we could put those hands together.

2 AntwortenIt’s about nothing but the grind and no reward. Black Armory. Repetitive with limited new weapons. The normal frames don’t do squat for the Destiny weapons. Gambit Prime; good concept for maybe 3 games and that’s it! Every aspect of the game, gambit, crucible and black armory will cause you to get pissed off more and more every day.

Nup. Fool me once destiny vanilla Twice dark below Three times prison of elders Four times taken king Five times iron lords Six times forsaken Seven times annual pass I honestly am -blam!- at this point. Im not buying another annual pass or destiny game after release after release of the same rubbish. Promise the earth and deliver rubbish should be bungies motto
-
2 AntwortenThe game is in a wierd place right now. Vanilla Destiny 2 flopped because Bungie broke the sandbox and the loot system trying to become an e-sport. In year 2, Bungie has FIXED the sandbox.....slapped a band-aid on the loot system....and went on to break the progression system. As a shooter game, its fun to play. The content creators and the sandbox people got it right. But as an RPG...Destiny 2 is still hella broken. The progression system is basically an RNG-infused slot machine (on a PC character I got stuck at three weeks at 550 power because I got nothing but kinetic weapons and boots as drops.) ...and all you have to do is look at this forum to see what the community feels about Enhancement Cores. I've NEVER seen this community this unified and this ANGRY about anything in the game to this degree. The PVP is in worse shape. Bungie got rid of dual primaries and team shot meta....but then broke the Crucible again by gettign rid of SBMM and giving out overpowered ("pinnacle") weapons in comp and top rewards. So now those same players use those overpowerred weapons to pub stomp in quickplay. TLDR: If you just like shooting things in the face...and having it feel good....come on back. But if you need the game to work as an RPG or like competitive PVP....don't waste your time and money. Bungie still has a lot of issues in this game that need fixed....and they are showing almost NO interest in doing it.

Absolutely no, Destiny at present is shite. The daily player population figures dont lie.
-
I just left for division 2 and even tho i played since beta id say No dont there is so much Better games out there but thats just my opinion
-
Run and don't look back.
-
Nah m8. Borderlands and Division are where it’s at right now.
-
5 AntwortenMaybe? Enhancement cores are a horrible barrier to new and returning players. Kinda limits how you'd like to build your load out.
-
If you're like me and think the gunplay and gameplay is second to none then absolutely

2 AntwortenI took a break and recently logged in to get the new catalysts and thorn... And I say it is ok if you are not having fun gaming on anything else. Everything is still the first year. Strikes are very limited on which maps rotate daily. Everything is designed with a lot of grinding... of which makes it stale because you are not doing anything new. Pvp is off due to pinnacle weapons with shotgun apes. This is preference though.. to me, it just is not fun and is boring within 5 rounds. In fact, that is my best way to explain it... after x amount of anything... it just is blah.

Bearbeitet von Viguier: 4/15/2019 7:50:18 PMWell, Forsaken is clearly a good step in the right direction. It has a lot of content, 2 destinations, 9 new supers, new exotics, a raid... I use to dislike Gambit, but it is actually pretty fun. Some exotics quest like for Malfeasance and The Ace of Spades were so bad... But they corrected it. PVP is better and worst, Luna/not Forgotten + shotgun slide hunter jump are clearly not improving the game. PVE is also quite in a bad state, the game has never been so easy, strike bosses are a huge joke, public events and exploration have no challenge. The annual pass is also pretty good, it has some new nice activities and SO MUCH LORE! But the fact is we are paying the end game separatly. I really like the current state of Destiny 2 despite its flaws. Do not listen the haters too much.

1 AntwortenI took a step away from destiny for 3 months and I’m actually enjoying it again my best advice is play how you want and don’t focus on the grind your power level won’t really matter until you want to raid or play iron banner but overall enjoying the game much more realizing how good this game really is
-
It got good with forsaken but the annual pass is shit. I haven’t done a forge ignition since before season of the drifter, and haven’t done a reconing run since before tier lll.
-
Just came back 2 months ago after leaving before war-mind. I am having a great time. Made some new friends which I recommend some of the content can be a hassle to solo but you can usually find good people on the fireteams LFG on the Destiny app. I say go for it man.

4 AntwortenDo you enjoy running boring and repetitive bounties to acquire the currency needed to infuse your chosen guns and armor? Do you want to grind weeks for armor ornaments that will be removed when you actually get them? Do you like chasing the new guns and armor, only to see them nerfed into oblivion because of pvp before the terrible RNG decides to give them to you? Do you enjoy developers that don't communicate with their customers and when they do, it's hilariously patronizing? If you answered yes to all of those things, Welcome Back!

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Plob: 4/15/2019 4:06:59 PMIt’s significantly better than launch, but not near as good as the days of RoI or TTK. Buy it on sale or something. Expansion pass is only really for black armory. Jokers Wild is just that, a joke. It adds next to nothing. Penumbra seems to have some potential but we’ll see. It’s alright. But not great.
-
Nah, this game is on its final breaths honestly. There's no more exciting content being made and most of the stuff that was released in the past 6 months is just so incredibly bland.. I think the last time I was genuinely excited to log on was when they released the Whisper mission. How long has that been ?
-
I'm only going back for actual DLC and expansions. The whole annual pass thing is really uninteresting and dull. Imo
-
If you haven't played it since pre-DLC then it'll be fun for a good 2 months but it'll get really boring after that. It's all time gated progression & useless rewards as entire pieces of the game become irrelevant one after the other.

5 AntwortenBetter to ask this on Reddit, this forum is full of a bunch of whinny entitled children

5 AntwortenBearbeitet von SaroN: 4/15/2019 10:46:22 AMHELL NO! when the annual pass ends I‘ll be GONE! 11 upvotes... don’t you dare go back!

Nope. Definitely not.

Bearbeitet von Fork: 4/15/2019 12:36:15 AMPersonally, I think yes. I also don’t thing forums are the best judge if you want to judge quality. I would recommend playing it yourself. It’s just a ton of salt here typically. If this truly reflected the game in its entirety, it would make anthem’s letdown look like a joke It’s a lot like D1 where it had problems at first, but as it started to get better as some of the kinks were worked out. I think it’s a solid game post forsaken, with or without expansions. Annual passes certainly help, but I understand many gamers don’t have the money for them. Edit: added second paragraph
-
Personally, yes. I enjoy the game and have made a lot of friends from playing it and I definitely think the amount of content added since forsaken is worth getting.
