Don't eat/drink while your mic is on
For the love of all that is good in the world, if you are doing any activity that requires comms, pick another time to enjoy a snack. Nobody wants to hear you crunching on chips or eating chicken or slamming a tall boy. Either mute yourself, or leave until you finish eating. If you know it's annoying and still do it that's a kick off tops. Sorry not sorry.

I always mute when I'm eating. When someone asks me why I've been muted I always ask "You want to hear me crunching on chips?"

I’m fine with it. Hearing some fat nerd on the other end being incredibly rude makes me appreciate the fact I’m not them. Also we get it, you vape when you play video games.

There's also the mouth breathing. Often combined with the eating/drinking for a very distracting game experience. I find that people who do this are the type of player who struggle through the laser traps during the Pyramidion strike...

I usually tell people that if they are bothered by any eating I do(I like pistachios while gaming away from the mic) just let me know and I’ll either stop or mute myself. Never during anything important too, just loaf times.

5 AntwortenYou sound just like my brother. If anything, mention it to the person if it bothers you, if they don't stop (believing!), hold on to your feelings and just leave. But in all seriousness some people don't realize they are loud eaters and need to be reminded to close their mouth or take smaller sips of their drink so as not to audibly gulp liquid. But if you were to ask me. I really don't care, I hear my food crunch and my drink gulp every time I eat or drink. If you can't hear yourself when doing so, and are not hard of hearing, how are you able to ignore your own chewing or drinking to the point where it nauseates you now to hear it when others do so?

My buddy does that all the time and thinks nothing of it. Hell, he didn’t even turn his mic off while he and his wife were yelling at each other. That was cringe worthy!

This is why every time I take a swig I do it with my mic at point blank from my throat. No wonder I have no friends.

People tend to forget that your chewing mouth is effectively 2 inches from someone else's ear. If someone irl opens a pack of crisps and starts munching away 2 inches from your ear you'd punch his lights out.

Yeah have experienced most of these in the thread all this week. Worst two 1. Guy ruffling bag of chips and eating it while we're trying to raid 2. Doing comp and one guy hops into our channel "YO U GUYS WANT TO DO LW?!" 3 of his buddies hops into the channel to talk and one jackass starts trying to rap like shit through our entire match
