D1 raids > D2 raids
D1 raids > D2 raids including the loot, with a few exceptions. Nuff said.
Reading through the comments I believe Bungie improved on SOP and LAST WISH. I hope to see more in the future.

I think SOP could be the new Crotas End. Short and sweet and the ending boss fight is not as glitchie.

22 AntwortenVoG definitely had the best loot overall, though Crota brought arguably the most potent weapon in Destiny history with Black Hammer. VoG can’t make my top spot though because everything up till the Templar fight is dull. My list would be Wrath of the Machine VoG Last Wish Crota Scourge of the Past Kings Fall Eater of Worlds Leviathan Spite of Stars Spite of stars for me is the only raid that I would say I actually dislike.

1 AntwortenI totally agree. The raids, raid loot (+useful perks), strikes, strike specific loot, and many other aspects were much better in D1 than we have now in D2. This is an unfortunate side effect of Bungie “forgetting” or throwing out all the successes and knowledge they accumulated from D1 when they made D2. Here’s to hoping D3 is more like D1 in regards to awesome raids and awesome loot (weapons, armor, etc). Vault of Glass is still my favorite.

I hold Kings Fall near and dear to my heart. Even thought the loot was not all that good and the hard-mode rewards were insulting.

1 Antworten1. Kings Fall - First Raid where players couldn't sit back and actually had to play a role. Killing Oryx was very cool as well. 2. Last Wish -Gave me kings fall vibes. Loved it. 3. Vault of Glass -It's just a classic. 4. Wrath of the Machine -Not mechanic heavy, but challenging enough to still feel fun and fresh. 5. Spire of Stars- Feels very underrated. I really liked the concept of this raid, even if it was just a game of catch. 6. Scourge of the Past -Eh?... This raid's logic has no sense. How did this thing get in to the city? 7. Eater of Worlds -Felt way too short. 8. Crota's End -Everyone sees this raid as one of the best, I remember it being a glitchy mess. And the mechanic for the boss fight was shooting rocket at big green boi while invisible hunter swung sword at him. There are strikes in this game that last longer than that raid. 9. Leviathan -I like the lore behind Calus, but this raid? No. Just never again.

Every week i would log in to try and get the vex mythoclast and felt so accomplished when i finally got it. After crota i never felt the drops warranted me logging in on a weekly basis and completing 3 raids to obtain loot.

1. Vault of glass (shooting enemies is the main focus) 2. Kings fall (a raid that caps the story) 3. Last Wish (same as KF but not as good) 4. Crotas End (fun to solo) 5. Wrath of the Machine (spike in elitism) 6. Eater of Worlds (too simple. Not enough shooting) 7. Spire of Stars (bad mechanics) 8. Leviathan (game show with minimal gun play) 9. Scourge of the Past (carried. Gave up on Destiny by this point and friends insisted I join when they were short)

A lot of you argue that VoG was the best however looking past all the nostalgia of “ the first” I’m able to see KF as the best) 2. Vault of Glass( Even without the nostalgia VoG is still top tier) 3. Wrath of the Machine(Feels like a shorter easier KF not much to say other than that. Pretty fun though) 4. Last wish( Was hyped up WAY to much, didn’t mind the extreme light level difficulty on day 1 but I can see how it was extremely annoying. Ever since KF my expectations of an amazing raid just haven’t been met and after the honeymoon phase I realized that LW just wasn’t that good :,( . That’s just my opinion) . . .(smaller “raids”) 5. Scourge of the Past ( Best of the smaller raids) 6. Crotas end (I actually liked this strike because it was really fun and wasn’t very stressful) 7. Spite of stars ( hardest of the smaller tier raids, loot sucked, not worth it to do on normal let alone prestige. Enjoyed banging my head against the wall on this one.) 8 Eater of Worlds( meh) 9. Leviathan( HUB RAIDS DONT WORK EVEN IF YOU ADD “SECRET” PASSAGES)

Vog and Eow Everything else was boring, simply because I didn't have to teach anyone how to do those two raids.

Kings fall and wrath of the machine had amazing soundtracks. That’s why they’ll be my favourites (even though I lost interest in raids in Y3 so I hardly did WoTM).
