So you're doing Tier 3 Reckoning trying to get the Reaper armor set. Everything is going fine, until you fail because ALL FOUR OF YOU GET LAUNCHED OFF THE BRIDGE
-
Knowing Bungie, instead of removing the stomp mechanic they would probably add tennis shoes to the bosses for added effect..... Imagine seeing a big ass Nike swoosh symbol and shoe sole right before getting launched off brigde.....

2 AntwortenI mean I know it sucks on Reckoning bridge but I’m confused as to why there’s knockback when your a SENTINEL TITAN Shielding your fireteam from ahamkara attacks, vex Minotaur barrages, or the never ending wrath of an ogre’s beam. BUT one “Right foot less stomp” from the Cha Cha Slide Hive Knights and you get sent flying beyond the system. Why can I block damage but get knocked back so bad? It outright defeats the purpose of Code of the Commander doing DPS when the ogre blasts you backwards and then you’re behind your fireteam and they get wiped.

9 AntwortenIf not completely removing the enemy stomp and shield bash all together, the instant death from hitting an obstacle should be removed. It sucks that even at max light, a small bump into any object instantly kills you.
-
Orrrrrr super the shit out of the majors when they first appear at each stage. Problem solved. Can’t let em get up on ya or you taking a little trip. Slovabomb FYW!
-
Melee right when they stomp and it doesn't launch you
-
2 AntwortenRemove the thing that makes it hard, you're why this game nearly died
-
Stomp on that bridge is really fn annoying
-
They can't do that. Bungo has some sick obsession with knocking you off the edge or anything so you fall to you death in D2 for some weird reason.
-
I got stomped out onto the sniper platforms only to die from the return to the playable area countdown.
-
1 AntwortenI remember when Bungie said they were going to move away from the stomp mechanic back in Destiny 1. Yet they have only added it to more enemies since.
-
I always thought to stop shotgunners, bosses could deploy a short range health sapping vortex. Would probably be equally hated after a while but at least it offers some variance
-
2 AntwortenAll I hear is 'Make it easier'. That mechanics is there to kill you. If you all get launched then you are pushing at the wrong time and not killing the right things at the right time.
-
1 AntwortenI know! They should fix it so that if you get stomped? It should knock you off the bridge, then back to orbit, and then back to the Title Screen! How awesome would that be? A real challenge!! I wish you could all hear the intense sarcasm in my voice right now.
-
1 AntwortenThe stomps are not a problem. Just get better at the game its REALLY not hard come on now.. you people always have somthing to cry about.
-
You gotta keep your distance. There is a big black orb that shows up before the stomp boss spawns. Drop a grenade below it and prepare heavy/supers. If you want to have an easier time make sure you have a Tether Hunter or a Radiance Warlock with you.
-
Pay attention to the enemies spawning and kill them before they get to you. I'd suggest getting a burning maul titan if that's too hard. Or if you're a hunter shoot a tether their way and kill them yourself. I'd recommend having both a burning maul and a nightstalker super the boss that way the boss dies faster.

7 Antworten1. Melee 2. Kill them before they get to you 3. It's part of the challenge
-
Git gud.

I think a better solution to stomp to make it less annoying across the board is that while yes some of them knock you back still (harder bosses like raid ones and maybe specific strike bosses and maybe in some other instances) the majority of stomp mechanics are reworked to launch you up really high but not backwards. This way you can actually actively keep yourself from dying as far as physics go but enemies have an easier time killing you. This also would really promote the use of Phoenix Diving on Warlocks and dropping a Fist of Havoc from really high up for Titans on purpose. Or using a Blade Barrage from super high up. Also make the stomp animation and all a bit slower and give it a solid like 15 second cooldown. Add a second melee to bosses too. Doing this should keep stomp as something you need to actively look for that can be devastating but it isn't something you have to worry about every few seconds that can come out of nowhere.
-
i contend this is part of the challenge. You need to kill the big guys as fast as possible, way before they can stomp you. 9 of 10 times this is possible. 1 out of 10 times they may spawn right next to you though.
-
Remove it all together.
-
5 AntwortenCoordinate supers, and kill things that do that quickly. Two Trapper Orpheus Tethers. One Phoenix Well. One Flex Warlock/Hunter For Skull Nova Bomb/Celestial Golden Gun. I ran that combination and never had an issue with ANY ultras, Ogres/Phalanx/Whatever.
-
Nova Warlock with Skull of Ahamkara. Nuclear bomb as soon as they spawn. Profit.
-
They should put giant green Gambit tokens either side of the bridge so that with a bit of skill you can land on them and jump back to the bridge.
-
Laziest thing in the game. It’s just gonna get worse.
-
This, garbage lazy mechanic.
