we received a lot of feedback [from streamers] that things were to easy to earn.
FIFY
Anyway.
Random Rolls didn't fix the loot problem, any reasonable human could have seen that. Also, why didn't Bungie lean harder into weapon mods?
Here's an example of a weapon system that would have been wildly engaging, and enjoyable for everyone.
1. Assume Static rolls stayed
2. Mods now replace perk nodes on your weapons, and are rare.
3. When infusing you can either choose to increase the powerlevel of your weapons, OR you can take a perk off of that weapon and put it on your current weapon, in its current position.
For example: You infuse handcannon 1 into handcannon 2, you can choose to replace the top perk on the far left column on handcannon 1 with the top perk on the far left column on handcannon 2. As so on in that manner.
4. Killing enemies with that weapon unlocks more perk nodes to customize.
5. Dismantling weapons with perk nodes unlocked nets you some parts to trade for a weapon mod at the arms dealer (rotates weekly) (This has the wonderful side effect of getting people to use weapons they don't normally use to unlock perk nodes to customize so that when they dismantle them they get more parts)
I mean.... Come on. This is waaayyyy better, and more interesting than (gun drops, don't like perks, dismantle)
An example we'd see was players replaying Vault of Glass numerous times for the Mythoclast.
Not JUST for the Mythoclast, but that raid was just fun. I've played it even after I got all of the loot from it.
we're doing some tuning on RNG
You guys have been tuning this horrid Pseudo-RNG for years. It's not good. I don't know how you've weighted things, or what the actual formual looks like. But it needs a complete overhaul. It's been bad for 5 years.
players have given a lot of great feedback on how they enjoy the straight path to a reward
Yeah. The Majority of Destiny players enjoy this.
but we've also gotten poor feedback that the path is sometimes too easy or too hard
That's because of the terrible matchmaking in PvP. Solo vs 4stack. Yeah.... I can see the problem.
Let me know if you see dis dmg.

Had you posted this back in 2017 you'd be downvoted to oblivion. No one wanted to hear anything other than "more grind, more rng, more random rolls" Now that we have those things(which received praise when forsaken came out mind you) bungie is wrong for listening to those who asked for it? A simple Google search yields dozens of results from this forum and reddit (not just streamers as you've deceptively put in your fake "quote") with hundreds if not thousands of supporters. Not trying to defend bungie here. I'm just pointing out bullshit

2 AntwortenI prefer to steadily march towards a reward rather than putting in effort for a reward that may or may not exist. Hoping for RNG to favor you is not a grind, but gambling with time. A grind is something you can chip away at, accumulate over time, set a predictable goal. Say if I want to farm ore in WoW, and I need 1,000 ore. That's a lot of ore, and quite a grind, but I can chip away at that every day so it's no big deal. I can rest easy in the satisfaction that I will get there eventually. I like grinds, or at least don't mind them. I do not like RNG. Someone could do one strike after they get prometheus and get its catalyst, while someone else could be spamming strikes for months without seeing it. While it may be absolutely awesome for the first guy, it's just cruel and unfair to the latter. A good example of a grind in Destiny 2 is the current vanguard pinnacle weapon. That's a grind: no RNG, no BS. You put in effort, you get what you want. I like that, and would rather more items(namely exotics) be like that. No silly pursuit steps involving getting crucible kills on a zenith of the 3rd tuesday of the month, just something simple. Say for the Titan stronghold gauntlets, you buy a pursuit that requires 2,000 sword kills. Doesn't matter where, doesn't matter how, just 2,000 sword kills and you get those sword exotics. Would anyone really oppose that?

2 AntwortenKeyword in his reply is streamers. So if we dont stream or youtube our voice isnt heard? What about the whole community?
-
This just in, people want rng removed so that the game becomes even easier than before. Next up, people wanting enemy bullets removed as well.
-
It's okay, the streamers are part of the 4% that still play D2.

2 AntwortenI like the idea of a system to upgrade your weapons to the roll you want but i don’t like your idea on how to do it lol
