Your grinding model is just too much. I’ve been you with you guys since the beginning, but I think it’s time to start looking for new things this grinding crap is getting old. I no longer have the time and it seems like it takes even more time now than it ever has just to get things in this game. It’s not fun, it’s just frustrating as hell now I regret wasting all my time on your game. I guess destiny is only for people who can spend 2-3 hours or more a day just to get anywhere

I agree a hundred percent. Theres allot out there that I won't get. But at the end of the day it's not that interesting to me anymore. I already did the grind for everything in d1. It isn't compelling to get it all again. Yeah theres "new" stuff to get but it's all the same after awhile.

So...much...grinding.... This post is so true. I'm like, "should I give the ol' ball and chain some of my "Mida Multi-Tool" tonight, or grind out these damn IB bounties? Of course, my priorities are straight. Family over any game, always. But as a father and husband I still like to relax and play Destiny. But it feels like im clocking in when I do.

1 AntwortenI honestly don't see how anybody can have a full time job a life and keep up with Destiny. Especially if they run 3 characters. I have gone from running 3 characters every week and only needing 2-3 nights a week to complete all I needed to complete to level up to only being able to run one character and it taking 3-4 nights to get it complete if all goes well. I have had it take all week. That literally leaves me no time to play and do what I want in the game and have fun. The grind has gotten stupid to get rewards then the added materials especially cores for infusion. I have not actually even played in a week or so and probably won't play much if any in the future as I was the last person in my clan still playing anyway. They all left for the same reasons.

Destiny 2 has become a boring chore. I can't bring myself to play anymore really.... I am still doing the same borng stuff I did a year ago to level up. I don't mind grinding, but this has become a ridiculous chore.
-
The grind is definitely real.... I remember in D1 I could have all 3 characters update to date in a wk. Now it takes 90% of the wk just to get one character up to date.

Bearbeitet von iliopoulosXD: 4/1/2019 11:13:17 AMBungie has no idea who the player base is and forgotten how to create an engaging game. This should be a reminder: in their effort to cater to some imaginary base they envisioned an end game season pass where in Black Armory at launch most of the players could not engage the content and created a puzzle so hard no one could solve it. Thats where we are. The grind , rewards, economies and game play loop are terrible. The play experience is in a shoddy state. Bungie doesnt care. I mean they are actually doubling down on enhancement cores. An easy thing to fix that would make the community instantly happy and just allow more players access to content.

You're not missing out. This game has no respect or value for peoples time or money. They still put these weird restrictions like someone is going to drop their life to rush to meet those deadlines and restrictions. Someone at bungie is so ass fkn backwards special they will never get a grasp of what's being said to them in these forums. The standard they have is for everyone to accept nod shake and conform. Anything else is its considered abuse lashing and rude. I have not played since after the 1st week of season 6 and I dont miss the game whatsoever. Came to read the TWAB and again trickle effect with updates and changes. I am baffled but shouldn't be. Good luck!

they should just remove the soft cap,, every strike you do should reward you with a boost of some kind, let's be honest no one actually finds the power level grind to remove enemy immunity any fun, people care about the loot itself, with interesting designs and perks that mix up how you play with power level just getting in the way of that
-
You are right. Destiny is only for "working" streamers.
-
2 AntwortenI personally enjoy collecting ghost fragments. It’s something you can reach the cap on and then go and do it all again, so much fun. I also like the brother Vance materials exchange grind for an attempt at cores, buy, buy, buy, buy, buy, buy, buy, buy, delete, delete, delete, delete, delete, ooh 1 core, so exhilarating. Destiny is full of fun things to do, I can’t see why anyone would want to stop playing??

Destiny 2 is usually not for anyone that sees it's mountain of problems. Sorry you're struggling but trust me there's no reason to level up currently in Destiny 2. So don't worry you're not missing out on much.

No, it's for perpetual teenagers like me.

As a new dad myself, I'm starting to hit this wall with Destiny. I don't mind grinding as much if its a meaningful grind but RNG is killing it for me. This weekend I was able to get about 2 hours to play and it was a nice little break from being a dad. What made me regret playing was almost all of my powerful drops were for slots that had my highest gear. So it felt like I did nothing. In the last few months I've transitioned from being a player that could spend time play to someone that has limited time. And I never realized how bad the RNG grind is. I wish Destiny had only XP leveling, so players could do what they want and not be forced to play the same thing week after week. I think I might go back to the Witcher 3 again. Just my 2 cents.

3 AntwortenWorking single father here. My son plays baseball and hockey. Hockey starts in August and ends in March. Baseball started in December. They way I did it. Focus on your main character. Get them to max light level. Swap your 700 weapons to your next toon and the grind is faster. Dont start infusing(except for weapons) till you get 700. Also dont infuse for 1 or 2 power levels. I hadnt touched my warlock or Hunter till IB. They are now significantly higher power. I get it. But if you take to the 2 hours here.....the 2 hours there....the 3 hours here and set goals for your time The grind is not as bad.

6 AntwortenHmmmm. Im a dad, with a clan full of dads and moms. We dont seem to have any problem with the current system in place
-
I would say focus on your job and your family and just avoid getting tangled up in this algorithm-based addiction.
-
I disagree. Working dad here. One 3.5 year old and I get time at night when the kid is asleep and the wife is at work. Have done raids and just started my grind for Luna’s howl. I feel I have plenty of time to get things done without falling to far behind. Granted most of my clan mates are ahead of me, but I get it done at my pace.

Yes it is a long grind, I’ve ad thorn and malfeasance on the shelf for ages, joined fire team for both people are in the same boat. Got thorn the other day now on last part for malfeasance. Feels good when done. Oh I’m 65 and love it, grand kids join in 😂

1 AntwortenWith all due respect, most gaming isn't for working dads or parents in general. Looter shooters or any looter mmo game would take up a lot of time just because the nature of their genre.
-
32 AntwortenYeah same, I’m military and married with two dogs and I have maybe at most on occasions to play 6 hours on a weekend day. Sometimes 2 hours on a week day. I completely stopped after season of the drifter. I’m not going to grind the same crap just to get higher and play the same milestones that have been in the game for over a year. Same missions and milestones. Not fun and to Grindy for casual gamers. I have been on Division 2 and that’s how a looter shooter should be. Casual playing and you get good loot that’s not a duplicate. Destiny 1 was amazing because it was new stuff to grind every add on. Not anymore.

Bearbeitet von Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 4/1/2019 7:16:16 PMIt’s for everyone and no one at the same time. It seems like it tries to be everything to everyone, and as a result no singular aspect of it is spectacular. There’s definitely fun to be had, but it’s the “jack of all trades, master of none” video game. It’s equal parts fun and annoying because they try to force feed the entire experience on everyone instead of just letting people play what they want to progress and earn things. Funny thing is, as many if not more adults play video games than kids and teens now. We grew up on it, and we’re still playing.
-
I'm a working Dad, and it works for me. Slow & go, but I still manage to get play time in. Bungie went too extreme on the amount of grind time involved, however.
-
I feel you, I used to have time to grind like mad in destiny. Then I got into college.
-
In Destiny 1 year 1 the best guns and gear in the game came to you through RNG. You still had to complete challenging activities (like hard mode raids) for some of the stuff, but the best stuff was still RNG. So, no matter how little or how much time you had to play, you knew there was a chance at the good stuff every single time you played. In Destiny 2, the best stuff seems to be both skill gated and gated through huge amounts of time (Luna's Howl, Not forgotten as examples).

Busy work is new norm. Just look at every quest since Forsaken, just absolute tedium.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von ILoveI6v6I: 4/1/2019 3:27:56 AMWell, the people who play the least seem to have the best things handed to them, so don't worry. You're probably getting better drops than the people who play constantly 24/7. I almost guarantee if you go into a Last Wish raid having no idea what to do and wearing blue armor, you'll get 1000 voices at the end.
