There is no problem with cores and progression in Destiny 2. It is literally a made up problem. Cores do not affect progression. Screaming loudly that they do doesn't make it less of a lie.
Maybe, just maybe, the reason you haven't gotten what you wanted even after screaming about it for months is because your opinion doesn't match the opinion of the majority of the player base nor does it match the direction the developers want to take the game. Maybe, just maybe, we have all heard your complaining loud and clear, but you don't actually have a good argument nor a good opinion. Maybe, just maybe, forming a mob doesn't make your demands more credible or worthwhile.
At this point, the fake argument and outrage over enhancement cores is bordering on social terrorism. Calm down. Play the game. Play a different game. Stop trying to threaten and scream down people who don't agree with you.

You literally get shards for EVERYTHING. Again, if you keep running out it is poor resource management and you should never be placed in a position where you have to monitor labor or anything crucial. Get more before you run out. Do you wait to go to the grocery store until you are completely out of food?? Same concept. Get it before you need it

Bungie has answered several times over because they know that cores are not a problem. it's just a small group of idiots who don't get how the game works that don't see there is no issue instead of learning.

You are correct in saying cores do not impede progression. Anyone saying that is speaking incorrectly. However, the infusion system keeps players from using the gear they want. Call it vanity. But people want to use whatever armor they like most. They also want to use their favorite weapons. Given that we are already at the max light as is available through our gear, why can’t we just simply infuse to use what we want? It’s an artificially inflated game time extender. Hey, you got to 700 LL! Now grind for the cores required. There is no good logical argument that states [i]why[/i] the infusion system needs to be so punishing.

Actually he's incorrect. Cores do not affect VERTICAL progression (item level). Because you can't infuse something you dont' have. What Cores do is they throw ice water on HORIZONTAL progression. The kind of progression that other games handle with skill trees, and unlocking powers via experience points. Bungie pushed most of that progression off onto gear perks. Relatively free acess to infusion is necessary to safeguard those gains by allowing people to use the gear that has the perks that they want as part of their builds. What Bungie is doing is the same as if Blizzard were to arbitrarily DE-ACTIVATE character skills that the player had already unlocked.

Thank you. ...and that's the point we've been trying to get Bungie to understand and accept now for 6 months. ...and its why their whole notion that infusion needs to be "meaningful" and "impactful" is so HORRIBLY misguided, and that they don't know what they're doing. In order for this game to work----given its design----Infusion needs to be a MUNDANE function. Because its how you LOCK IN horizontal power gains. ...and by interfering with it, Bungie is undermining the game's horizontal progression. Which is why people feel the game is so tedious and unrewarding.

If you are grinding like you say you are then you should have plenty of glimmer and legendary shards to purchase cores, use your glimmer to buy more shards, dismantle all low gear. Rinse. Repeat. This is not difficult people. You are making the community look stupid because you can’t figure out how to take advantage of the currency system

The price doubles each time (on purpose). If they stayed a flat 4 shards/ core then you would have a point. Since it doesn’t, you don’t. You can get enough shards from playing the game to buy cores.
