Haven't opened D2 in weeks. Contemplating uninstalling it completely but getting rid of a game I have played since opening day of D1 stands in the way. I think I will shortly overcome that.

I don’t even post this as hate cause I think the game has come a long way, but I haven’t even turned on Drifter yet and I own the pass. Pretty crazy cause I used to be so hyped for new releases. I actually think the dream of having this game be something that people can play ALL THE TIME is hurting them. I would much rather get one bug release every 9 months or year and have it be AWESOME and play the mess out of it for a month or two then quit. RDR2 and god of war are without question two of the greatest games ever and I played them hard for about 3 weeks and haven’t really played since.

Same here. I keep looking back on the 2000 hours invested, and I’m not completely ashamed since I did enjoy the game’s ups. But the drive is gone, Black Armory’s back and forth bounties burnt out this matchstick. I was hoping to see updated weapons or vendors, but a primarily gambit related installment left me with no ambition to log in. Maybe the next installment might peak my interest if I’m feeling burnt out with the Division 2.

Yeah it's the same shotguns and hand cannon meta as last season. Thank God everyone is very bad at pvp in general especially the guys who have 2.0+ kd they get so mad when they get vooped by a y1 fusion that nobody uses

Yea, this game is -blam!-ing broken. I can't enjoy the game I payed 80 bucks for because of the shit that needs to be fixed. PvE is boring and the crucible is just filled with no-lifes that have no skill.

I was but the Thorn quest brought me out of my funk. It made PVE fun again. Don't even get me started on PVP.....its still a bad hunter meta.

not exactly burned out. just annoyed, disappointed or saddened by how this game is seemingly far behind what it could be. how i see potential here and there and experience rare jewel-like moments (intro mission, the almighty mission, finding saint-14) but otherwise get fed so many boring and uninspired ones. for a game as hyped as this one appeared to me i sure had higher expectations. bounties, patrols, public events, the lack of unique mobs, chests and resources with crap loot and generally little meaning in the half-baked or maybe even outright broken economy (like, could i get something to do with those 1k baryon boughs i have for example?), how the pve zones in itself feel largely void of things to do - the story and pve content i have been able and wanting to play (raids still not happening for me) has so many boring, tedious, dumb stretches. too many, i think. too often am i wondering "what the hell am i doing here?", "why am i even here?" or "who the hell cares?" most of the time im doing pest control and playing errand boy for a world and for characters whose lore is - tragically - expressed largely through somewhat disconnected texts rather than through the game itself, to the point where one may wonder if bungie should really be in making games or if creating movies or books wouldn't fit them better (the cinematics and trailers i have seen are far better than the actual game too). i'm not sure i felt so quickly numbed in other games. not only did loot games like borderlands, diablo or path of exile offer me significantly more loot with greater variety that i loved to sift through - their worlds (the ones in the actual games, not in some lore books) were also better crafted, their stories more fluent and consistent in their execution, their gameplay more focused. as far as open world goes there is no beating GTA or RDR i guess. but i dare say even the somewhat repetitive and boring open world games that ubisoft sometimes churns out still, once in a while, offer more things to do than destiny 2 (i literally fell asleep in ac:syndicate and the division 1 had very little open world activities too - but other installments i remember more fondly). the more i play d2's pve zones the more i doubt them. the more i maybe even hate bungie for being so lazy with certain things. maybe i would have sooner noticed this all if i hadnt had a friend to play through it. but even with her in my fireteam now it feels like some of my brain cells are dieing the more time i spend in this game, at least in its pve open world areas. the dreaming city felt largely dissppoiniting in that regard too, even if there are still eggs and cats and ascendent chests to find. but those are rather pointless collectibles. im not enough a 100%er to hunt these things as passionatly, only to get sparrows or ships or less but still sonewhat meaningless legendaries or exotics that ill likely never use anyway. i would love to play more nightfall. try these things with randoms and all. i loved to play such brief story missions every day or so a couple hours in games like uncharted. try to do better each time. help newbies get the hang of it. but then there is the lack of matchmaking and the lack of communication in the game outside of dedicated parties. like this game is trying too hard to prevent me from enjoyi g it. why cant i plugin my usb keyboard and at least be text chatting? (gives me another reason to regret i didnt buy this game for pc.) why do do i need to wait 20 or so minutes when it could be quicker with just a little less restrictive matchmaking? every regular guy us probably asking himself a myriad of similar questions that i can relate with people wondering if they are really playtesting their game (the way they should, i.e. like we are playing it, not under artifical circumstances) i can actually be having good fun with some of the pvp. but i didnt buy the game for that. it kinda saves the meaningless, empty and repetitive pve environments and activities. yet reading about how console players (im on a ps4) are apparently impaired by mechanics such as this so called "bloom" and how hefty the hc and shotty meta seems to be (too many hc and shotty users definitely make me angry in the crucible at times) makes me wonder how long i can bear with the many shortcomings of this game while there are so many more interesting and i think objectively better loot-based and open world games too (i bought RDR2 and a couple other games and im hearing good things about the division 2). if not for said friend of mine and me wanting to stil get something back for what i paid for the annual pass think i can safely say i would have bailed this game already. or at least put it back in the shelf to check back way later, because i believe the current content drops are fairly underwhelming as well (yes i read that bungie meant to bring repeatable endgame with it; but even this endgame could be improved in so many ways, the black armory is designed in pretty stupid and maybe even lazy ways that i understand people who feel insulted by it).

Apex Legends is a lot more fun and takes a lot more skill. Destiny is probably the easiest PVP game

Why don't ya'll take a break and play other games, or just stop playing for now? This is not a difficult concept. I don't rightly care if you're tired of the game and you're not going to do anything about it. You're just whining about it without action. Action speaks louder than words.

Bungie doesn't even believe that people will play Destiny 24/7 year after year. Go play something else or, better yet, go outside. Spring is coming.

Going after 1KV every week just for a goddamn Chattering Bone everytime. No interesting content with Season of the Drifter. Raising Bergusia’s Light Level for no reason. The NERFS. Nerfs are the biggest thing that pushed me away.
