From the Dev Team:
Hey Everyone, World Systems Team here to give you a quick update.
Today (3/5/19 - 2:15 PM Pacific), we've deployed a change to Destiny 2 that will re-tune the amount of Glory Rank points gained and lost in the competitive crucible playlist. Compared to previous seasons, Glory gains and losses have been effectively doubled.
Our goal in this change is to make the ranked playlist more inviting to a larger amount of players. This means more access to pinnacle weapons, higher ranks, and more people to compete against at those higher ranks.
As always, we’ll be monitoring feedback over this change.
Thank you!
1 AntwortenLet’s talk about this plan of yours. I think it’s good, except it sucks. So let me do the plan and that way, it might be really good
-
You need to address losses when people leave the game. I’ve lost two matches due to people leaving ......AND LOST DOUBLE POINTS!!!!!!

4 AntwortenHow is this any more inviting? Good teams get things faster, below average players struggle even more. None of my friends want to play this. I have tried to find team but with my stats, I have given up. Takes too much time to LFG, then play one and if it goes 24-100 as it usually does, people leave and it was waste of 24-30 minutes of time. And it is even harder for people like me who don’t speak english very well. If you want to make it more inviting, why don’t you actually listen the feedback of average players as well as top players? 1. Protection from losing points if your team mates leaves or match starts uneven. 2. Extra points if you WIN when in outnumbered team. 3. Reward players playing objective (and succeeding in it) - would mean there is point staying and getting less penalty even if the match is very lopsided 4. Reward individual performance if it is good, even if the team loses Now these kind of changes would much more likely appeal average players like me and make us play comp.

I think fixing matchmaking and address the players who are charging money for help in comp on the Destiny App would be beneficial.
-
I think you guys need to look up what “inviting” means....
-
Theres no insensitive here its the same thing you just win more and lose more. There will still be deranking, ddosers Cheaters, laggers, sweaty payed carriers no one wants to play against that. The four stacks vs solo players are part of the problem yet go ignored. The amount of bs in this playlist will never bring players back to it. Its to little to late for were listening.
-
You really don't know how "incentives" work, do you? They don't work like you describe. Not even a little bit.
-
I haven’t set foot in the crucible since that D2 beta clusterf*ck. These changes are twice the nope from me.
-
Dude this makes the pressure of needing a team way less bro , I usually solo to fable each season but -blam!- yeah this just releases pressure for when u get near that fable mark , I imagine each tier of pvp player will go up in a tier aswell
-
useless devs, fire your current pvp devs and get new ones
-
Basically makes win streaks much more potent. That's interesting, makes all pinnacle rewards easier to get, but not by a large amount.
-
Sounds like a good change to me. I’d consider lowering the loss hit by 10 so people who win 1 lose one can still feel like there progressing
-
Not sure that was the right thing to do. I feel like the weapons won’t be so appealing if literally anybody can get them, but what do I know.
-
This doesnt change incentives at all. If anything, Im even more entrenched to avoid comp. Now, if you cut the loss in half while doubling the point gain, then Im incentivised to play more comp.
-
Honestly, I'm surprised that with trials gone indefinitely, that you haven't added additional loot to gain in comp. Adjusting the amount of gain and loss will do little to keep fans engaged especially for those who do get their weapon. Then a number of folks will just move on do other things. Adding further incentive to play and stay in crucible should be I'd think the goal here. End of the match rewards to me need to be better than they are win or lose. I still feel playlists should be brought back to enable more choice for the guardian to pick from as well as the process to return the modes. (Right, salvage, etc.)

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Kemaleon: 3/6/2019 11:00:37 AMSo, if players win and lose by the same rate they did before, then it won't make any difference to how quickly they rank up? ..... I mean, really this only benefits the players who are good, competetive and organised. They'll rank up faster (then probably get bored). Otherwise its literally the same thing, just bigger numbers. Nice one.

5 AntwortenI'm slightly confused. The way it reads, it sounds like you get twice as many points for wins and also twice as many points taken away for losses? Am I correct or did you mean HALF as many points taken away for losses? Because twice as many for wins is encouraging but twice as many for losses is going to be REALLY discouraging.

Bearbeitet von coda-jj: 3/6/2019 9:35:53 PMI posted already but I have another easier way to boost the player count. Add a powerful gear piece to 1-5 actual wins in comp only per week. That can’t be hard to code, right? It will bring more attention to the community to play this mode besides this forum that 90% of the community won’t read. It’s going to basically for the most part fall on deaf ears, plus your way is not an improvement over last season. It’s almost the same number if people are 50% win players. Which I’m sure most are

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von WEREWOLF 1188: 3/6/2019 5:42:43 PMI have even better idea. 10 times more points for win, but if you lose once, you go back down to zero. Thats will be definitely even more "INVITING" for us common players... And how about a pinnacle shotgun? With scout rifle range and full screen spread. And please, give us more hand cannons and a cowboy hats for our ghosts, Eeeeehaaaa!
-
Wow it's like you guys dont listen at all to feedback.
-
Maybe before you go patting yourselves on the back, you need to take a good hard look at your matchmaking which is still pathetic.

3 Antworten@dmg Two characters both not received powerful rewards from turning in Petra’s 8 Daily Bounties. What’s going on?

2 AntwortenThis is a perfect example of what the people Bungiehloio think about normal every day Americans. They think we are all fcuking stupid. Give me a break Glory gains and losses have been effectively doubled. What a joke, but It does seem though that the Idiots at Bunghole are finally starting to panic because of the poor participation in Crucible. I guess all the bitching, crying, whining and complaining from the sick depraved you tube streaming pub-stomping perverts about a lack of fodder in competitive matches has caused Bungie to spur into action. So they came up with a trial balloon to try and scam normal people back into the competitive. Well good luck.

8 AntwortenPlease go back to the drawing board and re tune! I player for about three hours today and ended back at almost zero! You gotta give some help to solo players. I can’t even get close to fabled and that’s all I need to do for Luna’s Howl and the community has locked out most solos unless you get extremely lucky and get on good teams every game. I can’t find one team to pick me up unless I pay them. I tried all last season and could t get there. So frustrated!
