Hello everyone, i know the reason why smgs suck currently. I have played destiny since D1. I have seen lots of guns buffs and nerfs, but what they did to smgs is better horrendous. The current issue isnt the distance (EVEN THO THEY KEEP BUFFING IT) its the hidden stat of accuracy. I play on console and i have a hard time trying to keep the shots even near the enemy in pvp. Im above average at pvp and have 38,000+ kills in D2. Yet if someone bet me 100 dollars to hit all head shots, full auto, from 5 meters... id loose the bet. I really hope the destiny team has this stat rolling out in the next patch. Because if they dont buff the accuracy of smgs, the whole pvp community will rage at the fact the pinnacle weapon SUCKS. What do you guys think? Have any fantastic games recently with smgs?

3 AntwortenI would think an Auto rifle and a sub machine gun are completely different from each other. I don't think they are designed to do the same thing. One is meant to shoot further and be more accurate. Just my thoughts

4 AntwortenSmgs will never compete with shotguns It really is that simple

Bearbeitet von DireIguana: 3/4/2019 9:07:17 PMWith Last Word, Luna's Howl, and Not Forgotten around, they're completely obsolete. Why use an SMG when it has less range, less damage, than Last Word? I'd love to see a massive SMG buff. And the recluse needs a .5 sec time to kill (equal to Last Word) to be even remotely usable in competitive.

1 AntwortenI'd like to see how they do after shotty nerf, but if they still aren't used after that, maybe a small stability buff in general would help make them more relevant.
-
7 AntwortenMa boi it's the freaking bloom, not accuracy. Firing weapon on max firerate making bullets fly anywhere in some cone around your crosshair. Idiotic random mechanic that should "prevent some types of weapons from being too powerful" and that do not work on PC -___-

1 AntwortenI find it hilarious that the new PvP pinnacle weapon is a SMG.
-
I mean, my Loadout for pvp is a duke with breath of dragon and I melt

Yeah state of smgs will make getting the pinnacle weapon next season miserable (assuming it’s like the MT was where you have to do certain things with the weapon type).
-
9 AntwortenWell I didnt find a problem with smgs. Started 2-3 weeks ago sniper + smg and now I have 3,2k kills just on smg. Quite nice counter for apes.
-
Buff everything that's not meta.
-
1 AntwortenYeah they’re okay. Just have to learn the recoil pattern. I love my Hero’s Burden and pair it with a Hand Cannon when I’m not sniping.
-
3 Antworteni think in the vidoc about season of the drifter they showed a clip of the next pvp pinnacle weapon and it was an smg i believe. i doubt they'll buff smgs if the new pinnacle is gonna be an smg.

1 AntwortenChange the tags to #feedback as this isn't a technical issue.

1 AntwortenIdk I still main an SMG from yr1 and have no problems with it. Could use a stability buff I guess but they're not terrible just not meta.
-
2 AntwortenIt's the stability really. SMG's were meant to be a highly suppressive alternative to the lack of Shotguns in year 1, alongside sidearms, and were more or less used to deal some damage, or finish the enemy. Sidearms were more of the latter.

-
2 AntwortenThey kick like a mule most of the time, and they're within Shotgun kill range when effective. PC players are lucky that they can fire SMGs from a much farther distance due to non-existent recoil.
