As the title says, when the new changes for Gambit's round 3 go live to make it a Sudden Death Prime Evil rush... all supers gotta be wiped at the start of the round, or this will snowball into the worst idea.
Let me just set up this situation for ya...
A team of randoms (A) vs a 3 stack of geomag warlocks, and a random hammer Titan who's running top tree (B). The first round, (B) win thanks to the hammer Titan who melting points, and the three warlocks melt the boss down so fast you can't do anything about it. You don't even care what (A) is, you just know you can melt him quickly.
Round 2 starts, and you see that (A) is actually ahead and working together some how, and they get there Prime up first. So instead of (B) trying to catch up... they sit back and build super, invade a few times to be annoying. (A) eventually kill the Prime and it moves to round 3.
When Round 3 starts, and it's sudden death. The Prime Evil spawns in at the start of the round... (A) used there supers to melt last round- but (B) has all 4 supers, or at least 3 of them. The Warlocks burn down the Prime to spit on health... the rounds over. Team (B) won cause they played it safe by not playing round 2.
See why they need to wipe supers when round 3 starts when this change goes live? Cause if they don't... that round's victory is decided by who has a super at the start of the round. No questions about it.

sudden death should be one defends the primevil while the other attacks, now that would be different. Winner of the first match gets to attack.

2 AntwortenThe team that kills the envoys first will win. Its amazing how many people still don't know they have to kill the envoys, blasting their heavy away before the primeval is compromised.

3 AntwortenWouldn't that be part of the strategy though, purposely not using your super in a losing round 2 to have it for round 3? Round one is neutral ground, if you win it's probably because you are (are on) the better team. Round two gets fuzzy, it could be that the losing team all saved their supers. It could be the catch-up mechanic. It could be because they woke up and just played better. But things went into there being a tie that might not have been exactly fair to the first round winner. So why shouldn't there be some strategy in round 3 as well? Either make each round reset or none, but don't pull something in between that screws what is probably the team that should win otherwise.

3 AntwortenIt should just auto spawn you with max everything. Max heavy ammo, full super.. First team to drop a Nuke on the boss gets the win.

1 AntwortenSo you’re saying Bungie needs to screw over the team that strategically plays smarter..... No.

I think they have done this and changed the light Vs light triumph to provide a bit chaos in round 3 and they probably need to sell a few more pins too

1 AntwortenI'd much prefer everyone to start with everything, otherwise it's just another boring round of shooting at bullet sponges until people get heavy ammo and a super. Starting with no super and just primary in Gambit for a sudden death is one way to send people to sleep.
