My idea for balance is to make them completely separate. When you go into crucible in destiny you start off with white gear and weapons, you have a level in crucible 0 no matter if you have already finished pve content or not. As you do crucible you have a chance to get weapons that come with crucible random rolls that are specific for crucible. Armor as well. They can be used in pve but the effects obviously don’t work in pve. In pve you can use weapons for pvp however the weapon obviously doesn’t work the same in PvP. Exotics like thorn and last word should be crucible specific weapons. Last word should only be obtained in PvP thorn in pve however it should be equally good in PvP and pve since it’s exotics. When I say this stuff I only mean for legendaries. Obviously exotics should be available in both. With this system bungie doesn’t need to worry about balancing. Crucible players can enjoy ranking and grinding and getting weapons and pve players don’t need to worry about their weapons getting nerfed. This is huge and has to be done perfectly but if it is done perfectly think everyone will be happy. What do people think?

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von RavenousLD3341: 2/19/2019 6:12:49 PMI think the crucible is a massive failure in multiplayer PvP game design. The TTK in this game is abhorrent. P2P connections are shit, ancient, and so easy to exploit a literate pre-teen can -blam!- with it. The biggest single glaring problem is that the TTK on primary weapons flat-out do not come close to competing with any other weapon class. They won't fix the solo vs. group conundrum... which isn't a problem in other games. AAA or indie titles. Trials was such shit that no one played it, it's designed to hand wins to top tier players by completely leaving skill rating out of the matchmaking formula. It basically just different versions of team death match. Completely intellectually bankrupt, and wholly lacking any innovation. Period.

1 AntwortenWouldn’t be surprised i D3 got majorly delayed or even cancelled tbh.
-
1 AntwortenThey better fix this mess called Destiny 2 before I even think about purchasing D3.If they keep going down this path of lack of communication, no balance for months and total disrispect for their player base D3 will never be an option for me We've reached a point where I'd rather have all the open issues on D2 fixed instead of getting new content.Sad but true

1 AntwortenD3 is two years out maybe. I won’t buy another bungie game at lunch or maybe at all. Nothings been proven to me that bungie can provide a enjoyable experience rather then a puffed up grind
-
6 AntwortenI ain't buyin it or pre ordering it. Ima wait till 90% OF THE DlCs are included in the base game sale. That is what their game is worth to me. I like it. But eh.... not worth more than 30$.
-
1 AntwortenCan d2 come out before we start talking about d3
-
7 AntwortenWhy the -blam!- would we spend money on d3 after this?

4 AntwortenNothing of this sort would need to be done. Since Bungie has set the precedent of having two main modes in Crucible, Quickplay and Competitive, all they need to do is reinforce the competitive aspect of 'Competitive' by restricting the items available and force all players to use preset weapons specific to the playlist. You can't have a truly competitive game-mode when you let it be influenced by random modifiers like gear rolls and armour combinations. Some people wouldn't like it but there is a reason the top most well received and viewed 'competitive' games have few random variables in play. You can have a balanced and fair PvP mode, a chaotic mess of a PvP mode, and allow them to co-exist in the same PvE game instance at the same time. You don't need to separate them.

1 AntwortenSorry can’t agree with this one but I’m not smart enough to suggest anything
-
No thanks

Separate PvP from the game entirely. Make it it's own entity. Destiny 3 and Destiny 3: Crucible. It can have trials and ib and all the network manipulation all to itself. Gear and levels aren't interchangable.

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von PilksUK: 2/19/2019 11:16:02 AMAfter the mess that is D2 I will not be buying D3 or whatever it will be called until its on heavy discount....and if the rumours are true and they are looking at doing PVEPVP mixed openworld stuff like the divisions darkzones then I will not be buying the game at all...Less PVP focus is what Destiny needs not more.

6 AntwortenStop asking for a new game in destiny 1 he didnt need d2 and right now we dont need d3 just expand the game
-
3 AntwortenMy thoughts exactly, sort of.. Just give PvP it's own weapons.. make sure to put it into the description of the weapons (pvp-weapon or pve-weapon). That way you tune weapons for pvp and pve. I'm a PvP-only player, but I understand the frustration PvE-players have when yet another weapon gets nerfed because of PvP while the weapon (or armor or super) was great in PvE. Supers shoudl also be designed with the difference between PvE and PvP in mind.

1 AntwortenIt doesn't matter what they do in pvp, whether it be nerfing this or buffing that until something major is done with the matchmaking. I am sick of being put in games where it's 6v4 or 6v5, 4v2 in some competitive matches. Obviously you get hammered, so anyone filling the spaces immediately leaves. This is so frustrating, especially when you get penalised for losing. I recon, just take loot from pvp altogether cos from what I can gather, the so-called "best" players would rather see their names at the top of some meaningless list than to actually aquire the stuff
-
11 AntwortenI thought they are thinking of pvevp in D3?
-
5 AntwortenYeah, just like every other loot based MMO.
-
3 AntwortenAll I know is the best way to balance anything is to just..
FACKING JUST GO BACK TO FACKING DESTINY 1 SHIT. WTF? I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.. ffs
-
1 AntwortenNo, a large part of Destiny's identity comes from the ability to go from Crucible, to strikes using the exact same load out.
-
11 AntwortenDestiny 3? You are definitely an optimist. This franchise will be lucky to last the rest of this year.
-
3 AntwortenThis is the single stupidest idea I’ve ever seen! So literally anyone knew juts gets destroyed repeatedly in crucible The best players have the best guns so there is literally zero balance as the newest and worst players don’t have the gear. Just more proof if you okay destiny Pvp it’s cuz you like crutches.

1 AntwortenI think the proper way to go about Destiny 3 is: PvE: All the content from D1-3 with a boat load of new content (you play first to go back an experience repurposed old content at appropriate higher light levels. PvP: Crucible is crucible. Leave it unbalanced as it’s a “play ground”. Copy paste Apex Legends. “I can play royal rumble with the parts of Destiny I like without grinding?!? -Enter eSports Possibility Preset gear load outs available to all along with perks and skills. Copy Paste Overwatch. “I can play team competitive with a chance of representing my home town with the best parts of Destiny without the quest grind and battle with RnG?!?” -Another path to eSports available. Preset gear load outs available to all along with perks and skills. Now there will be too many streamers on too many topics. Everyone wins. PvE crowd can enjoy PvE without worry of nerfs. Old school Destiny PvP try hards can have the broken PvP they know and love aaaaand if they really want to “git gud” and win for an actual “professional title”. They can have their shot at Destiny Royal Rumble/or Team Competitive eSports Leagues! TL:DR Far fetched stuff on for an old playing board that’s worn and tired. Good luck Guardians!

5 AntwortenMaking it like two separate games doesn’t seem appealing to people who may want to casually dabble in PvP or go in only for quests or to the developers who have to spend a much larger amount of time then creating two separate loot pools. I think d3 should be built from the ground up with long term, rewarding, pve based grinds in mind. I’d like to see one of those grinds include a system to level up your abilities and supers to make them better over time and to balance it for pvp they could simply make it so only the base ability/super stats are available on that side of the game. This would alleviate us feeling like our pve power is being taken away because we’d be making those things better over time and any balancing changes would only effect the original ability that we would have most likely outgrown and built upon in pve before those changes were made. With the drifter and ideas of dredgen/shadows of yor being reintroduced recently they could even add lore to justify that change because too many guardians were dying their final death in the crucible. If they did that it would alleviate almost all the ability balancing challenges they currently face leaving them to only worry about weapons.
-
13 AntwortenSo basically just two different games? Why even include them both if you're going to do that?
-
9 Antworten
My idea for balance is to make them completely separate.
It's not really necessary for this to happen
-
1 AntwortenExactly. OMG, learn from your mistakes Bungie.
