Luna/NF is 100% a Crutch Weapon
I’ll fight you on this.
It literally always come out when people are getting their asses handed to them. Then they miraculously pull a victory out of their ass and wave their banner thinking they’re the greatest shit in the universe.
You all know it’s true too. You’ve either experienced it or done it.
Inb4 it’s not the gun it’s the player.
You vs You in Crucible. One has Luna, one has Trust. Who wins?
All you need.
I don’t even care that it exists, just call it like it is, guys. It’s your crutch you use to help your injured ego when you’re getting beat.

1 AntwortenAlso, I don't know if you were really using the weapons I last see you using during PvP, but a scout rifle imo, isn't the best for pvp...unless you're using multi tool. then your shotgun, that ikelos one...thought it was nurfed a while back

If you are having troubles with Luna's Howl or Not Forgotten then use Last Word, another hand cannon that is made for PvP. I've been starting to work on my Redrix quest and I have had to deal with a lot of Luna's and Not Forgotten but still manage to pull out wins against them. Using Inaugural Address I have out shot quite a few Luna's and Not Forgotten, a hand cannon does not make up for a lack of player skill. If you want to talk about a real crutch weapon, you should try a match with all high mobility Hunter classes with Dust Rock Blues.

You can't use the "You vs you in crucible" as a valid argument. Using that logic there would only be one primary weapon and that's it.

I generally run that and a dreaded venture and don't seem to have a problem. Not to mention last word shreds if you get in range. Do I have the gun? Nope but I could get it if I really wanted to try. I don't know what the answer is for those 2 guns balance wise but I'm figuring out ways around it. I actually hate queensbreaker more than I do lunas.

I dont own either LH or NF. I dont really have a problem outgunning them with Ace of Spades. I mainly play quick play and run into at least a couple a game. They just arent that that much of an issue that everyone states. It is the mainly the player not the gun. But the gun can help them.

It is, but they EARNED IT...which means that they could be using the Trust and will still own you with it.

Trust, TLW, Jötun, Le Monarque, any grenade launcher, Telesto post nerf, Suros Regime, shotguns, are excellent counters, especially the master worked Drifter Trust. 3.) Play smart and out of the optimized range, more players than not have Luna’s over Not forgotten. Even if the player lands the three crits on you, it’s just taking down your shield. 4.) Totally optional, but I did it anyway, suck it up and go gets Luna’s Howl. I hated every bit of the competitive experience but hell the reward is worth it. A sick gun and making people salty. [spoiler]The load out on your warlock is more than enough to counter Luna’s Howl. Explosive round on your scout and the advantage of a ranged weapon. Play your advantage. [/spoiler]

Luna's is a trash gun out of range. For nf make sure your straff game is on point

I have Luna’s Howl and let me tell you that it is very easy to out range using weapons readily available to all players. I earned my Luna using Trust, Ace and Bygones solo queuing against people using Luna and at times Not Forgotten. The weapon is there for anyone to earn if they are willing to put the time in. Is it hard to get? It can be. It took me quite a while to hit fabled and my K/D is absolutely in the toilet now, but it can be done. Not Forgotten is a little different in that it isn’t as easily out ranged, but chances are that the player using it will out play you with whatever weapon they are using. I know a small percentage of people using it got it but paying, but I think the majority are highly skilled players who will excel with whatever they are using. All you really need to do to beat these weapons is use range to your advantage and learn to duck. You only need them to miss 1 shot for you to win the fight. I’ve had to adjust to getting in closer with Luna, so use that against me. Luna is an awesome weapon, but it has serious limitations in range and can be countered. Play smart. Know who is using these weapons against you and increase your situational awareness in order to fight them on your terms. If anything these weapons push players to get better, which is awesome and inspire others to go grind out the quest and attain them.

Well if the Trust has Explosive Payload I'd likely miss a crit every now and then. We're not perfect aimbots able to fight any flinch lol.

It’s a freaking pinnacle weapon for reaching a decent ranking in competitive pvp. It should be better than almost all guns.

Yeah, I'll admit when I'm using my fun preffered load outs I'll switch to luna every time if someone starts using it on me successfully. I wish that were not the case, but against a good player in a mid range 1v1 you're losing to that luna or nf. I see both sides of the argument but personally with comps player base being so small, I'm starting to feel as though these weapons are indeed hurting crucible.

It's fine if you lot don't have the gun, but crapping on people who earned it (like me, I did comp solo for it) is asinine, toxic, and downright childish. I don't care if you are triggered by it. Throw your fit fine. I don't care. I don't care if you get killed by it. Figure out a way to fight it, or stop standing in the open, or stop standing still, or aim. Not everyone who has it is automatically good. And they're not automatically a jackass. In fact, if you think that of them you're probably the jackass. This is ridiculous now. There is every type of counter you guys have now. Stop it. This is coming from a guy who regularly puts down Luna with Ace, age old bond, and last word.

I think its just time to move on for all of us, weather you have luna or not the game is just not fun anymore. This game requires people to play with to enjoy and weather it be time, lack of content or other games. Destiny times has come and gone. The population will never recover and whoever is left if just being toxic to one another.
