So sick of hunting for that last dreaming city cosmetic to no avail

I will always repost this on these subjects when they trend. I'm locked out of 2 titles by one item. I used 650 resonant stems to get 1 Braytech item. I'm out of stems, spent over a dozen hours doing nothing but attempting to get it and was rewarded with 13 Winterwolf's instead of the Frigid Jackal, which I still need. This started a couple weeks after Forsaken dropped. Need the ship from the throne. Been running it every week since the second time it came around and we're [i]still[/i] not clear on exactly how it drops because it is [b]so rare and time gated[/b]. These aside, how about other titles, like Rivensbane and Dredgen, who require high skill accomplishments but lock people out of acquiring the title due to an item drop. I don't mind rare drops. The lack of bad luck protection is disrespectful when you have to put that much time into finishing the rest of the requirements.

Still no reply at all from Bungie, I see. It's just ridiculous at this point.

I'm just amazed that completing the seals is linked to unlocking a Bungie store reward. Like... If seals were more manageable to earn you'd increasing the chances of these pins being ordered. That's an easy 20$! Quite a few of these pins' codes expire at the end of March.

Can anyone confirm that the Parcel of Stardust is a thing?

At this point I’m losing motivation to play. I’ve needed the LW sparrow for weeks to get Rivensbane. What was originally an activity I avidly enjoyed had become a slog tainted by RNG. Tonight was like the 43rd run I didn’t get the sparrow. I’m really getting burnt out.

How many months has this been asked for? Has Bungie done anything about this major complaint? If not dont expect anything for a long time. You can expect rng out of seals next year. That is the customer satisfaction Bungie delievers

this game loves to give my friends who barely play everything I grind for when they actually do play with me. its ridiculous. they discover new exotics constantly, nightfall exclusive drops, etc etc you name it. meanwhile I have done garden world over 250 times, no ship. I've done strange terrain over 190 times now, no breytech osprey to finish my badge. it is a joke... I completely gave up on nightfall rewards at this point. Even today my friend literally said "I don't give a sht about a transmat effect" while we were running will of the thousands nightfall at 220k. He literally got it to drop for him while I'm out here like begging the game for nightfall rewards. It is pure suspicion and speculation, but it is though the game constantly rewards players who barely play as if to give them an incentive to keep playing. us hardcore players who play everyday; they know we will keep playing either way, so they weigh the rare rewards with a terrible drop rate. Again, pure speculation, but I've seen those nightfall drops happen for people that barely play the game constantly and I'm out here getting 200k on these nightfalls and barely EVER get a nightfall drop. When I actually DO get a nightfall drop, its NEVER the one I have been grinding for hundreds of times, I'm never trying to get it, so the feeling is stale and hollow when these actually do drop. its rediculous. I think they should drop randomly yes, BUT if you do the nightfall lets say over 100 times, it should just give you the item. I think thats enough -blam!-ing nightfalls for the reward ffs. I played forsaken since launch, got my first exotic to drop after about 6 WEEKS of playing. I quit the game for a bit and come back and now in the past month I have literally discovered all exotics except for 3...hmm... Its as if I take a break from the game again and come back it will give me what I want to keep me around. again, pure speculation, but its enough to drive you mad and think of the possibilities. Its not impossible for them to do this, its actually fairly easy to code this drop rate algorithm into ANY game. Oh and it just so happens that one of the exotics I am missing is one eyed mask, arguably the most useful and OP exotic in the game. rip. RNG is fun and fair AT TIMES. it should exist to an extent, and thats it. There should be systems in the game that reward you items for an absurd amount of completions, while still having a chance to drop randomly. That way, it would be exciting when you do randomly get the drop, but you also know that you are working towards actually getting the item eventually instead of just chasing blind luck burning hours into the game. oh and fck titles and seals. aint nobody got time for that bullsht. I'll be ignoring every single one until destiny 3. Titles and seals are a complete joke and all they do is mess up your completion of the game. They require stupid amounts of time just for a nameplate. literally a waste of time. In fact, the entire Triumph section is a complete joke and should be removed from the game. Never should have been added. Just a massive time waster. The collection tab was a great addition, the triumph page is just a garbage addition the game period. To get all the triumphs you literally have to play destiny all day every day practically. I play enough. I guess bungie really expects us to have no life at all in order to "complete" the game. so many bullsht time gated triumphs. I guess bungie wants us to slave over the game and not enjoy it. I don't see how anyone couldn't be sick of this game after completing one triumph let alone all of them. not enjoyable at all. Remove triumphs, they are garbage, meaningless time wasters that make me feel like I havent completed the game for not doing obscure activities and playing 247. Such an oversight by bungie, how did they not see this before releasing that garbo. Also side note, collections should allow you to reaquire ANY ROLL that you have previously discovered for items, instead of simply saying "cannot require randomized gear". what a joke...90% of the game is randomized gear and can't be reaquired, making the collections tab a garbage version of what it could and should be. For example if I discovered a piece of amor with a certain roll, I should be able to re obtain this piece of amor with that specific roll FOREVER. give me ONE possible good reason how this would ever negatively effect the game at all? Because there is none. When I hover over Kindled Orchid for example in my collections tab, it should show me a drop down list of all the rolls I have previously acquired and allow me to buy them back. Sure, even charge me a stupid amount of materials, but do it bungie. This would also help free our vaults which will soon become full with the next dlc. There is so many armour sets and good weapons in the game now, you have to pick and choose less than a third of the gear in the game to hold in your vault, even if you have acquired 90% of it. This feels like a huge fail for what is supposed to be an mmo.

Why don’t they add an insurance mechanism, which would be like this: if a player doesn’t get an exotic Engram for a given playtime threshold (I’d say 30 hours) then the next boss he beats (or Nightfall) drops an exotic no matter what. If however he does get an exotic drop within 30 hours since the previous drop, the countdown resets. It’s not even that hard to implement in the game’s code. At the current rate I won’t even have HALF the exotic weapons by the time Destiny 3 releases. Not everyone has time to play D2 all day, not to mention major games releasing. It’s common sense, really...

Agreed, every week I do dreaming city bounties and activities, every time the shattered throne comes around I do it on at least 2 characters, since launch. Still no ship or sparrow. It's a joke

I hope all y'all who need rng things for your seals get 'em. If not, these forums are gonna be a mighty bitter place come April 1st.

Imagine how many games they would sell if their slogan was “you have a chance to get some good loot”. Rng is the single thing that makes this game trash. Hard work is not rewarded. If I pay for a game I expect to have better then a chance to get something. It makes for a pile of unbalanced hot trash.
