Agree. Some of the maps are just absolutely busted with prime 2 point control as well as heavy control. Bad RNG spawn and you’re already in the hole before the game starts. Granted good teams and good strategy can turn it around, but still that’s not the case a majority of the time.

27 AntwortenAll bad players hate Control/Clash due to ths better team flat out blowing the other team out. My team literally only loses in Countdown. We went 23-4 with all 4 losses being countdown. What people fail to realize is if you're up on a team 5-2 in countdown, guess what? That team now just got all got supers(essentially free teamwipes/rounds) which can easily give them a comeback. Why do you think all top players hate countdown? From Lumi, Triplewreck etc.....? Because it is the smallest skill gap between the 3 playlists due to having supers and only requiring a pick. Even Optic_Scumpy(considered to ve the best Cod player in history) says he hates all Elim style game modes. "Oh he just telesto'd the floor and killed me and my teammate" now we have to lose the round. Control/Clash and even survival that doesn't happen. In a game that requires you to shoot, bad players love the game mode you do that the least in.

Matchmaking is atrocious and they need to remove countdown and control because ppl don't know how to play the objective. I can't even come close to getting the glory points i need for Luna's and being a decent player this just should not be.

I will explain why control should not be in competitive and that starts with non-symmetrical maps. And I will specifically talk about the crucible map Meltdown, as its the easiest non-symmetrical map to visualize. Control on Meltdown is an absolutely atrocious map and game mode. A spawn nearly nets you the win in the beginning if you have a team that knows that A point is dominant. Control point A on Meltdown not only provides a spawn that allows the player direct vision at heavy, but also provides a closer spawn to B point. For the other team to take control of A, a coordinated push outside is usually wisest; however, is often met with strong long-range defense if the opposing team controlling A can communicate together. This type of scenario is common in control if the map is non-symmetrical. I have no problem with control if it is on a symmetrical map as it provides equal opportunities to each team at the beginning of the match. However, there are very few maps that host control that are perfectly symmetrical, unfortunately. Other game types, imo, are fine on non-symmetrical maps such as survival and countdown because each team is required to spawn on each side of the map every other round. This makes for a more balanced game type, regardless of map. You'd think a veteran developer like Bungie would have figured this out by now.

1 AntwortenI absolutely hate control. Capturing the points in comp takes way too long so it gives the enemy team plenty of time to walk over and stop your progress, meaning if you are competent at control, you can start off really strong and then just camp heavy as b spawns near there all the time.

I like it for comp, especially if youre going to luna's or mountain top kills. way more lives to extinguish vs survival or countdown, where theres very little time to get those special kills. Its also familiar to new players that mostly play in QP.

There is nothing wrong with control. The game modes are all fine it's just heavy and supers in comp in my opinion. But one could argue it takes skill to manipulate those correctly as well.

1 AntwortenControl in comp is actually played the way it was supposed to. Therefore it is an excellent gamemode for comp. Countdown needs to go however.

It's literally a spawn trap minigame with 4v4. it's terrible.

I'm fine with control, an objective or limit on lives makes then intintesting. Clash is the problem to me it's a slog and is only interesting once supers come up.

Better yet remove control and countdown. Neither should be a part of comp.
