Why would you need a page file of 8GB to 12GB when you have 8GB of RAM? I just checked and Destiny 2, whilst I'm in the Tower managing my inventory, is only using a little over 2GB. Going to the EDZ and running/riding around a bit, it went up to about 2.3GB. Dropping in on the Dreaming City and it was 2.4GB. These seem quite low but there are probably other resources being used as a result of Destiny 2 being played. I have 16GB RAM and at present with the applications I have open and running (which includes Destiny 2) I'm at about 50% used (actually 8.5GB/16GB) so there is plenty of RAM available reducing the need for the page file to be used. Quitting Destiny 2 now brings my RAM usage down to 5.1GB, so that's 3.4GB back. So I can't see that Destiny 2 would cause more than 4GB of RAM to be used. For me, Windows (whch is set to automatically manage the page file) has set the values of 16MB minimum and 2937MB recommended, and the currently allocated page file is 2432MB. So it doesn't appear that I've ever needed more than 3GB page file on this machine. There's no way I'd up that to 8-12GB, or 16-24GB using your calculations against 16GB system RAM. I'm not saying that it hasn't fixed it for you, but RAM is faster than the page file and there's plenty of space in my RAM.
