Fusions do shine.
Sidearms are good but no one uses them.
Snipers are high skill. So yeah.
SMGs are weird.
Shotguns don’t have op range.

They do though. Even if you're using 2 shots on someone to kill them outside of the effective range, that's still stupid. Some of the distances I've been one tapped are like 9-10m away, that's disgusting. You shouldn't need a special weapon to counter a special weapon. Any weapon should be able to stop a shotgun if used right. Auto rifles can't, SMG's as you said are weird but for the most part won't kill a shotgunner due to the super high range stats and sidearms are alright yeah but why does nobody use them? Because shotguns are easier to use. They require less skill and time to master, point, slide and shoot.

"I'm mad this isn't cod where my gun kills in 0.1 seconds" "My scout rifle, a long ramge weapon, should beat a shotgun, a melee range weapon in close range because I want to"
-
People are going to use what is overall easier... Whichever has the best chance of success for them. Any weapon still does damage outside it’s range stat, just that is when damage drop off begins. And if you combine shotgun bullet rng, it is not op. DRB has a max range of 9m, slugs are 11m, and Chaperone 13m. Idk if that’s OHK range or just range in general though.

I mean we'll see what happens. I think part of the issue is that every map is a shotgun friendly map, the other part of the issue is that the weapons meant to stop shotguns from just walking up to you don't work well. Auto rifles and SMG's in particular.

Any weapon can counter if used right.

Well... Not an auto rifle and SMG's are iffy. Just because they technically could, doesn't mean it's ever gonna work. I know that my salt is probably getting the better of me. I know there's more at play than just the range. There's map design that heavily favours shotguns as well as certain weapons that aren't in a good place which is soon to change.

If used right.
