I remember back when I first stepped into the Crucible in D1 and got throughly trounced again and again. Rather than cry to the devs for nerfs, I decided to buff myself by changing my mindset.
Stop blaming your losses on the meta and teams. Stop blaming other factors entirely. If you truly were "decent enough" or could "hold your own" (my personal favorite), you'd win. If that Dust Rock/Luna squad beat you and you consider them trash, that makes you worse than trash. Plain and simple.
Take responsibility for every single death and ask yourself "How did I die?" and correct your gameplay accordingly to lessen that chance.
It starts with you. Now go get better instead of crying on here. It'll take time, patience and you'll lose spectacularly from time to time. But for Shaxx's sake, LEARN.

That’s why I’m glad I started playing fighting games in the arcades in the 90s. It taught me the harsh lesson that everyone should have when you start something new. Get stomped and learn from the stomping. Gotta have a carrot to make you move down the shoot, if you know what I mean. But talking down to people is absurd because of course everyone has an over inflated level of self worth. It would be weird if it was anything other than that. But crying about people crying is redundant. There is always someone better b

You can't call out peoples flaws. It just doesn't work anymore, nobody wants to improve and you'll only end up getting defensive replies. Instead of overcoming hardship to reach a certain level people have adopted a mindset in which they believe everything else should be brought down to their level. You just can't win against someone who thinks like that.

Nerf Lunas and it’s ugly step sister, Forgotten, things hit like a scout rifle, ridiculous.

Popular opinion: You're not as good as you think you are. Now quit projecting and git gud.

“How did I die?” Probably some bullshit let’s be honest.

If I think I am terrible, like abysmally terrible, even leaving aside the fact I played Crucible with revolvers for that Ace of Spades quest and before that I haven't used revolvers much (practically at all), how actually bad I am then?! I can't be below centre of Earth!

Damn you right.

It’s funny, I just finished watching Once Upon a Time S1 E4, and the theme goes directly with this topic. You have to be the change. You want things to get better, you need to make them better. There is no problem asking for help, but there is a difference in that and wanting others to do the work for you. Play the game to have fun. If you’re competitive, look for ways to change your tactics, get a squad, whatever. You can do it.

3 AntwortenPreach. All I see if bitching about metas and stacks. It shows the low brow thinking that people blame weapons, not a coordinated team, for their loss. Like weapons alone makes you gud. A team of randos vs a coordinated team. The randos are better geared but not talking. Who wins? The coordinated team. I mean it’s not like we saw this principle in action with Trials right????? Oh shit....we did. For -blam!-ing years. You people are a trip!

2 AntwortenSo this guy and I, we traded earlier in the crucible. I dropped him with a pulse headshot while he killed me with telesto in the distance, at the last second. I think poorly of people using telesto. Do I need to get better or can we just agree that using the meta doesn't make you good either? Or perhaps we should talk about that titan from earlier with OEM?
-
What if you don't think you're good at all?

2 AntwortenI can agree to a point. But the crucible balance is miserable and those without a Luna fight those with it isn’t a fair fight. Luna simply does something trust can’t and that isn’t balanced

The crucible is a training ground. If you don’t learn and adapt you will die. Thank you for stating this.

Bearbeitet von Pointdownguy: 1/15/2019 3:31:55 AMThese posts are the worst. Its like 1 of these gets made once a month and people act like this guy is speaking some kind of wisdom but its not. Its human nature to blame others, its a defense mechanism that everyone uses in an attempt to shift blame. Making posts saying that "we don't need to change the game, we need to change human nature" is just stupid and doesn't help anything. the crucible is shit, it always has been since the beta on d1 way back of June of 2014 and it could very much use some much needed attention from bungie that it has never really gotten besides a passing nerf or buff every now and then when the community gets up in arms about something.

This post is OP.

Sounds more like a message you sent to someone who stomped you in crucible than a forum post. 🤔

I agree with a lot of these points but still feel like Shotties need a little balance patch and think Luna is pretty OP. It is what it is but not sure where they go from here to make a better gun than that.
-
Another unpopular opinion: Luna and NF need Shank burn to be the best hand cannon

1 AntwortenWow, I didn’t realize that my skills were in fact lower than the deepest pits of hell!
Also there’s this thing that I can’t remember where the worse you are at something, the better you think you are bc you don’t have the skills to recognize how shit you actually are, and vice verse as you get better you see what flaws you still have and consider yourself worse at whatever you’re doing than you actually are. Interesting stuff ngl
I’d love to say this is my mind set but recently why I’ve been doing not so great at crucible is because I get so frustrated and pissed for no damn reason 😂

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von NeoReaper82: 1/14/2019 8:04:06 PMSays the scrub using the meta. Of course you don't want your crutches touched. Great PvP players have said LH/NF(they have them) is a problem. Nobody with a brain would pic a 140 that kills in 3 head-shots to the 180(LH/NF) that can 3 & 2 shot. That's literally breaking a guns archetype.
-
Bearbeitet von Chubbums: 1/15/2019 2:30:40 AMRight because someone using a trust vs a luna's is automatically bad because his gun can't 3 tap, he should of known better... What an idiot, the meta is for people not as good as they like to believe. Take away the OP crutches and they are average like the rest. Sure, you can say it took some effort to get but the reality is you wanted an OP crutch so bad you endured the shithole that is comp. You get no praise from me. Op would definitely be one of the first to cry about SBMM if it was ever brought back.

Neither are you.
