I remember back when I first stepped into the Crucible in D1 and got throughly trounced again and again. Rather than cry to the devs for nerfs, I decided to buff myself by changing my mindset.
Stop blaming your losses on the meta and teams. Stop blaming other factors entirely. If you truly were "decent enough" or could "hold your own" (my personal favorite), you'd win. If that Dust Rock/Luna squad beat you and you consider them trash, that makes you worse than trash. Plain and simple.
Take responsibility for every single death and ask yourself "How did I die?" and correct your gameplay accordingly to lessen that chance.
It starts with you. Now go get better instead of crying on here. It'll take time, patience and you'll lose spectacularly from time to time. But for Shaxx's sake, LEARN.

27 AntwortenI don't know for sure, but I think I can safely assume that for many (myself included), the problem isn't the meta or teams/solos. It's that Bungie CHANGED the game. 2016 Destiny Crucible saw an SBMM update. When this happened, my average ass started having literally the best time of my life in a shooter game in 12 years. I abandoned Halo 5 for Destiny when they made this change and it was glorious. Granted, top-tier players' mileage may vary, but MY experience (and basically anyone in the average and below bracket) was super awesome. Destiny 2 QuickPlay was almost as fun (slower TTK and watered-down effects were a downer, admittedly). Then, the bug happened. You know, the one where skill was no longer being considered AT ALL in QuickPlay? Since that day, my Crucible experience is pretty much the worst PvP experience I've ever had in a shooter in 15 years. Mercies are almost always guaranteed, and good close games are as rare as exotic drops... So, we tried the Comp playlist, because according to Bungie, skill still matters for matchmaking there. But quickly realized we're in a playlist with nothing but rabid sweats clawing and gouging like mad to get their Luna and NF god guns. It's unplayable, especially for an average player. Certainly it's almost NEVER an enjoyable experience... Bungie had it figured out - for me. Ammo economy, healthy meta (I was waxing dudes with Suros Regime in D1Y3, ffs), I wasn't crying about shotguns or Icebreaker. I don't think Luna or NF is a problem in a match where skill was considered - because you have to be good to effectively USE those guns. Anyway, long story short - Bungie CHANGED the game, and it was my favorite experience. Now it's literally my least favorite experience because THEY changed it. I'd honestly rather play Battlefront 2 now than do more than my 5 in crucible every week. And it's a damn shame. But that's just my $0.02...

Jokes on you, I know I'm trash

Yet another try hard post that comes out trying to sound all hard core and super skilled. Dude if you cant admit that a Luna's howl is better than most auto rifles or scout rifles in the game right now your just wrong. Sure it may be my fault for not wanting to use a Luna's howl cos I don't like hand cannons but that doesn't dispute the fact that the person with one will have the advantage. It's called a meta for a reason, people gravitate to what is strongest and use that because they like to win. Some of us like to use weapons other than the ones that bungie dictates we must use due to them being better. I had a 1v1 yesterday with a guy using Dustrock blues and a lunas howl, he beat me. As soon as I got him to use non meta weapons he was no where near as decent. Those weapons gave him a huge advantage.

THIS. THIS a thousand times over. This is a problem with gaming today. Especially in Destiny. When certain glitches happen, those are okay to fix. Switching up weapons damage to keep things fresh? Cool.I get that. When those people cry about how supers are too OP when I have and have witness people dodge, cancel, and avoided Supers (Including Nova Warp and Blade Barrage) easily, it's time to look at their own skills. I'm far from the best Crucible player, but not once have a felt that any of these supers should be buffed or nerfed because I was bested by it more than once. I switch up my playstyle Same thing goes for weapons, that may seem OP, to the point people are complaining about them. Bungie needs to stop giving in to the bitchassness 😁

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von Forest: 1/15/2019 7:57:03 PMOh so it isn't the horrible matchmaking of putting 4 to 6 man pre-made teams against a team of random solo players ? It isn't the fact Luna's Howl, Not Forgotten, and shotguns are over powered meta weapons and there are only like 5 usable weapons out of the 100s of weapons in the game ? It isn't the fact some players just wanna PvP with what ever they want to use in QUICK PLAY ? It is all due to the fact as you put it players need to "git gud". Get the f*ck outta here you elitist snob.

I literally top frag every game wym

1 AntwortenAs a D1 vet who mostly played the casual crucible modes for his 3400 game hours I can agree that these D2 players love to say they’re “hot shit” at crucible. Rocking the most basic b*tch loadout doesn’t make you good. It makes you basic. You wanna be good? Put on Kstov(the original not the exotic) with trespasser and some terrible rocket launcher and que up with a 3 stack for trials. Oh wait You destiny 2 plebs can’t do that. Therefore you won’t ever be as good as us D1 vets. Sit down boys.

23 AntwortenYou're assuming everyone and anyone can get better. Some can't, some don't want to. Most don't have the innate ability to be the best at anything. That's why there's leagues, categories, divisions and such in competitions. Seniors aren't competing against everyone else in marathons. Kids aren't competing against everyone else in county fairs. People that just want to play a bit and have fun aren't competing against those who would kill to win. Unfortunately pvp lumps everyone together which drives out the lower skilled players. I haven't played pvp in over 4 months. The lack of sbmm and the return of the shotgun lurker did that for me. And that's fine. There's plenty to do and enjoy in pve, more than I can get done in a week.

I punch someone 6 times and they are still alive. I get punched once I die. IB is BROKEN

13 AntwortenLuna users are trash change my mind And I'm better than them just lazy
-
The game can never have any true balance, and that's the very reason it can never qualify for any real competition like MLG. Too many variables don't allow for true competitive play (Armor, Perks, Classes, LL, etc.). I mean, you can talk all the hot trash you want, but the truth is that you do get an advantage with those things. Especially when those things can be RNG lol

1 AntwortenI partially agree. But as someone who frequently runs a 6 stack team you are going to die more, and lose because we team shot. There is nothing you can do about 3 of us prefiring down a lane. You cannot stop us from farming your blueberry teammates that give us extra secondary ammo, and faster supers because they feed so hard. When I drop 50 kills in a game. Its because my team keeps you trapped at A flag and theres nothing you can do about it. So yes, be introspective, but realize that running solos is a bad decision IF you care about your stats, if you want to win
-
1 AntwortenThe problem isn't that people aren't good enough, it's that when going into quickplay, the Playlist where people are supposed to just have fun, we face stacks and sweats. If I wanted to try a stupid load out quickplay is the spot, and if I choose to do that I lose consistently cause I'm not carrying the team. In comp we go for sweats, but not quickplay

1 AntwortenI am exactly as good as I think I am, thank you.
Not good at all 😂
"How did I die"? I died because the hidden 4th world wifi exists in my house while my team and the enemy have consistent first world wifi. I died because I have shitternet and if my enemy is a god in hitting people like me (bravo btw) i died from a consistent headshot, trade, or random object in the map. I learned from my mistake and I blame my wifi provider instead of blaming the server.

12 AntwortenNice speech coach. When I start giving a shit about pvp, other than how it ruins the pve aspect of the game by nerfing the power fantasy due to all the crybabies you reference, I'll let you know.

19 AntwortenIs this what the Luna, chaperone, not forgotten stacked teams tell themselves to get a false sense of superiority? Those are the players liking this post I mean , you have to be completely out of touch if you don't understand that stacked teams with meta weapons have an absolutely overwhelming advantage over solo randoms or smaller fireteams or players who have not obtained meta weapons and gear. I really don't blame players for using stacked teams and meta weapons to win and do well. But don't pretend like they don't have an advantage in an unbalanced pvp.

5 AntwortenYour advice ain't helpful, dude. All I can say to anyone in here is, even the best will lose so having an arrogant sounding attitude isn't gonna help when you need to just do what you can. It can be hard, but if you do your best, you will find your motivation to try even harder. I am trying to do my best all the time, and even if I get down, I do manage sometimes to bounce back. It isn't just about "Git gud" like the OP is saying here; it's about just remembering to do your best period. And that's all you can do. YOUR BEST.

2 Antworten100 percent agree. Every single time you die in crucible, it IS your fault. Record your gameplay and watch it. When you step back and review yourself, you can see your mistakes. To all of the people on here saying that they "don't have the ability to get better", that's BS! Everyone can get better at anything they do. This includes the crucible. The only thing holding you back is your attitudes people.

1 AntwortenExcept d2 is based on who has the best gun. You give a level 1 guardian chaperone, he’s gonna win the match. D1 was skill based. D2 is gun based.

No, i know i suck.

But am I as bad as I think I am?

just to stir the pot a little more with a splash of console war, just wonder what would happen to those soft PS4 players if Crossplay happens and all us big bad Xbox players start bruising those weak pony egos
