I have never played Destiny whatseover up until the free Destiny 2 period. I had the game highly recomended so I thought "It is free, nothing to lose"...
So here I am a month in, utterly addicted to the game. Loving all the quests, loot, solar system. There is SO MUCH to do in the game I almost feel like I need to grow a second pair of arms. I very swiftly paid for Forsaken and loved that, saw all the Black Forge adverts on the loading page, see EVEN MORE CONTENT and go for it. So I drop some Christmas money on the game and start the Black Forge quests.
Loving the quests, love Ada's hesitence at dealing with Guardians, love the grind of getting all the components to forge my first gun which took a while. Go to the first forge Volundr in the EDZ and then the whole game comes crashing down around my ears. Everything up to this point has been joyous and glorious and then this happens.....
I suddenly find all the Cabal are immune to my damage. I cannot do a damned thing to them. I see when I die that the recomended power level is 650 (!!!) - which is insanely out of reach for me. I am around 553 but not rising - whatever I do I remain stuck at 553 as I cannot find any equipment of a higher rating than I already have - which is why I want to do Black Armoury to get cooler kit.
So no where did I see any mention of "You must be 650 power level to even consider paying £30 of you cash into the game to get any benefit of the content" so right away I feel ripped off.
The game still lets me attempt the forge though so I think, that is okay, I am one of three players in the squad, I can still contribute with shields and collecting the energy, distracting the Cabal etc... I might not be able to hurt them but I can still complete the quest.... and that is where the next problem occurs.
There is either NO ONE AT ALL playing so I am a lone player (I die, quest ends, restarts, infinite loop of misery).
There are other players but ALL OF THEM ARE AFK (I die, quest ends, restarts, THE SAME AFK PLAYERS ARE THERE AGAIN, I die, quest ends, restarts, infinite loop of misery).
There are players but while they are moving left and right - they are only moving left and right and it is the same precise movement without shooting? IS THAT A GODAMNED FARMING CLICK BOT - (I die, quest ends, restarts, THE SAME AFK CLICK BOT PLAYERS ARE THERE AGAIN, I die, quest ends, restarts, infinite loop of misery).
There might be one other player who is online and not AFK! Yippeee! Oh no - they can't hurt the Cabal either - (we die, quest ends, restarts, infinite loop of misery continues with one of the four options occuring).
I have tried all three servers around the world and all of them have the same problem. Either a barren wasteland, AFK players clogging up the fireteam, AFK players using some sort of bollox click nonsense (why bother cheating when you can seemingly sit AFK and it keeps loading you into the forge team queue) or other players in the same boat I am - we were sold content we cannot complete desperately hoping someone, anyone (perhaps the A-Team) could help us out while we do out part because we are team players.
It is beyond frustrating and I feel ripped off.
It is bad design - who thought it was a great idea to auto load the quest so AFK players and cheaters can game the system or troll it and ruin everyones day I do not know. There must be a reason why? Who thought it was a great idea (probably Activision) to advertise and sell time limited content a new player can't complete.
TLDR - if you are a new player to the game and are thinking about buying a season pass. DON'T BOTHER.

No disrespect, but 550 light level is nowhere near endgame-ready, and the forges are endgame content. The previous cap was 600, and it was raised to 650 when the forges hit. I'm not going to argue that the forges are the most amazing piece of content ever (although they're also only one small part of the pass), but you'll feel much better about them when you hit ~620 light (and at 640 or so you'll probably mostly beat them without fail, even with randoms). Just keep doing all your milestones for powerful gear (especially now that Bungie is helping players below 600 light level quicker, which should indicate to you their intentions about endgame light levels), and you'll be ready for the forges soon enough.
-
I leveled my Titan from below 500 to 650 in a day and a half, it's not that bad if you use fireteam medallions and do your milestones in the right order.

Bearbeitet von RiDONkulous: 1/8/2019 1:04:58 AMHey Frustrated Guardian! The matchmaking at the Forges is level based, so it's finding other people near your level. As YOU are underleveled, so will everyone else you find. As you are SO underleveled, it will only find people who are also immune, or people purposely lowering their light with shitty armor to grind for the Lore Pages (all the people AFK or moving back and forth/in circles). This all means the forges are NOT for you until you hit about 610. Hopefully you stick with it, happy hunting!

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von TheWagn: 1/7/2019 3:41:55 PMYou bought the endgame season pass when you aren't at the endgame. To be fair, it was poorly marketed. You will be surprised how fast you can get to 650 though. Prime engrams will drop a lot for you and will be big boosts. Just make 3 characters and do all your daily stuff. You can reach 650 in a month if you grind a decent amount. Welcome to destiny. You gotta earn your endgame in D2.

Aaaaw damn they got another one. We all tried to warn you, we must work harder. Sorry you wasted your money, small tip, don’t buy any more Bungie games until further notice. we’ll let you know when the situation changes

If on xbox gamertag same as name we help anyone and have fun....🖖

Looks like you are getting your money’s worth out of destiny 2, you have been playing a lot.

I was here since vanilla D2, so of course I always hit max light level before the next dlc or expansion because I was there from the start. But if you're really upset that you bought the annual pass as still technically a new player and possibly way after Forsaken dropped, dont be upset that you're behind and cant do everything. Theres levels for a reason. You wouldn't be saying any of this if you were actually leveled enough. Play the game bruh and level up. If something is too high for you don't expect to beat it. It should be an incentive for you to level up. But like I said you're still new🤷🏿♂️ We been here for months now half of us already at 600 before black armory and just moving to 650 now with black armory. By Penumbra the cap will be 750(seriously they're adding 50 more power levels each season). So if you think you'll be able to hop into whatever season 7 has in store at barely 650 or less, you're sadly mistaken. Hell even us 600 power folk before black armory couldnt do forges till we leveled up. Seriously 🙄 Again you're new ofc you're underleveled af

4 AntwortenThere is absolutely no requirement to be 650, it's 610.

What a waste of nine months.

Bearbeitet von HungryTurtle34: 1/7/2019 2:06:29 PM1. You’re under leveled as shit for something that was described as ENDGAME CONTENT 2. The pass has waaaaaay more coming than that, dude. We can only tell if it ain’t worth it until the end, which is stupid.
Praise Calus!
1 AntwortenIts end game content. It's easy when you are on level so grind and shut up.
-
The problem you have so obviously run into is that being a Johnny come lately to the game you have a lot of light grinding/catchup to do in order to get to the appropriate power level to do what you want to do. It just takes some time. Knock out those weekly and daily milestones for starters. Get in one a raid or two with lfg if you aren’t in a raiding clan. Endgame activity is just that....designed for close to maximum light/power level. A lot of people got caught short the first week the forge was out so they dropped it down a bit. Destiny is one big dangling carrot my friend. Destiny is great fun with a little aggravation thrown in. Welcome to the club! Oh and no need to ask me “where did the adverts say....” I get it.
-
The season pass was/is end game and pretty Michu requires you to be close to 600. You have to grind to get go to the power level . With that said ..... bungie blindsided Most of the players when the first forge dropped . A lot of the player base was pretty pissed especially the ones under 600. Yes bungie should’ve given prior notice . That it would be unplayable for many. Just keep grinding you’ll get there eventually.

Bearbeitet von Chuck Finley: 1/7/2019 6:55:21 AMSo you go into an activity that has been advertised as END GAME CONTENT over 50 levels below the recommended light and expect to be able to beat it? And because you can just easily beat END GAME CONTENT well below the requirements, you feel like you’ve been ripped off? Lol I can’t tell if this is a troll post or not. If you aren’t and just didn’t know, then I apologize. There are way too many kids on here that just hate on the game because they think it makes them cool or something and it gets annoying.
-
You are simply UNDERLEVELED. When there is more than 60 power points difference between your power level...and that of the "Minions of the Darkness" you are fighting.....they become immune to damage. But the flip side of that when you are overleveled, the content becomes easier because you do bonus damage, and are more resistant to damage from enemies. If you're a new player, then this game still has a shit ton things for you to do until you reach 615 and are ready to take on the Forges.

No ur just an idiot.

1 AntwortenYou need to level up by doing the following they give you powerful gear, just wear it use regardlesss of how bad it looks stick a shader on makes them look better ish. Once you hit a higher level say 630-640 if the gear is to your liking then infuse. You have so many chances for powerful gear 11 + you have no excuse. Flashpoint Weekly spider bounty Weekly dreaming city bounty Nightfall completion/High score Raid Clan Daily and weekly vanguard strike challenges Gambit Crucible Heroic story missions

Its going to take a couple more weeks, but do everthi g you can for Powerful Gear. Bungie made it easier to get from below 600 up to 600. Then at about 610 to 625 you will see the forges get much easier. Ots worth sticking with it. Especially if you already like D2. Bungie totally messed up by not allowing everyone who bought the Annual Pass to atleast finish the first quest for a Machine Gun, but when you get past that, the weapons are worth it.
-
Look for a clan online or via Facebook groups, your’ll find one which suits your needs. Annual Pass as I thought was for end game only. As in higher light levels. Hang in there fella
-
3 AntwortenBungie mentioned FROM THE START in ALL of the advertising for Black armory that it was endgame content... Not their fault here...
-
1 Antworten
The Cabal are immune to my damage
Yeah, thats how it works. If an enemy is 40+ levels above you, you can't hurt them. That's. Why. You. Level. Up.

Bearbeitet von Raevenent: 1/7/2019 9:14:25 AMSo you couldn't do any damage were dying horrible, you paid DLC that was pretty blatantly said it was end game content, yet you paid for it. Also forges are recommended 610, not 650, nothing's 650 outside of SotP. Gonna have to defend Bungie on this one, that whole mistake you walked into could've been easily avoided if you did your research, found out it was addition to endgame content(I mean it was advertised as an endgame expansion), wait until you're 615-616ish so you can actually do the forges in a smooth manner, then buy it, your tune would change pretty drastically. You dug yourself that hole. TL;DR - Wait until you're 616 before buying the Annual pass.

lol please stop😭
