In Destiny 3 could we have a speed run lobby for strikes.
The wannabe speed runners tend to ruin the whole experience, basically because they are bad at it.
Not everyone wants to get to the end as quick as possible, but for people who enjoy that, a choice of a speed run lobby would be good.
Edit: how about adding a leaderboard and weekly rewards for certain challenges and maybe bounties?

2 AntwortenTLDR: people do this for milestones. This isn’t just a strike problem, it’s a problem in all parts of the game. Making a speed run specific playlist isn’t going to change this or help anyone else out. I highly doubt actual wannabe speed runners are running random strikes, in a strikes playlist with ransoms. You’re most likely playing with people who are only doing it for the powerful gear milestones. Quite frankly, I don’t blame them. When you’re forced to play strikes for powerful gear and you’ve played that strike for the 30th time, you’re going to skip all you can. I’m not sure why anyone would just run strikes for fun, but that’s just me. All or most strikes you play have are bits of the story you had to do at some point when playing through the story. So an experience isn’t necessarily being missed there. Unless, you’re doing it for fun, which again, is beyond me. (“forced” meaning you don’t have an option to change the milestone from strikes to crucible. It’s just static) Again, this is most likely what you’re running into. They’re not trying to do any harm. Just trying to get the milestone out of the way. I myself am a team player and if I’m doing it for the milestone I will tend to attempt a speed run but if I know my mates aren’t running along then I will hang back with them. At max, if everyone works together it might be a ten minute run. No harm there and a lot of people don’t think about how short strikes actually are. With all that said, I don’t feel bad for you or anyone else that has a problem with someone just running through a strike. It’s going to happen whether we like it or not, as long as milestones are a thing, this will happen in all game modes. I mainly play gambit and, often, crucible. Far too many times do I get matched with players who basically just move around enough to not get kicked from the match. Often I shoot them a message, and ask if they’re even playing, just to see. Sometimes I won’t get Message back but I have gotten a lot of “just playing for milestone” responses. So, it happens everywhere. People coming into blind well, just emote sitting. Sometimes even for public events for the flash points.

1 AntwortenThey are either bad at it or worse; they can hold their own but are not team players and do not look out for anyone when in trouble. See I treat my strike team as I would in the Marines. Leave no one behind.

3 AntwortenI would love this. My clan originated as a strike speed running clan in D1 'Speed over Safety'. Loved it. Sorta died in D2 with the amount of bull you can pull in strikes.

The thing that sort doesn't get is that the time they save is negligible. Yet they act like that's not the case and or they think they can bank the time they save and just wip it out any time they want in life. If only that were true. They just suck at the game end of.

2 AntwortenDon't blame the players. Blame bungie on their lack of content creation and activity grinding ad infinitum. Most people just wanna run through as fast as possible the daily/weekly grind to get the loot. Instead, they should just create options to limit strike teams to your actual fireteam, thus allowing you to enter it solo/2 men/3 men.

3 AntwortenI’d love it if they made the gates between zones require at least two players, that way Speedy McSpeedrunner doesn’t pull you ahead before you’re ready. But that would make me happy at the expense of someone else’s experience. Either way, someone gets screwed in a multiplayer game like this. I don’t envy the corner Bungie has painted themselves into.

9 AntwortenHaha so the people who run the strikes fast are bad?? That doesn’t make sense there. The main point of a strike is to kill the boss at the end. Not everyone wants to sit there and spend 20 minutes in a strike.
