https://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2018/12/22/28-minor-but-maddening-fixes-destiny-2-badly-needs/amp/
Allow Sparrow Use On Mercury – While yes, some of these fixes are probably more complicated than they seem but I refuse to believe turning on Sparrows on Mercury is more than changing two lines of code.
An Option To Auto-Dismantle Blues – A long time ago Destiny did this with greens, now it’s time to do it with blues because filling up with them after a certain level is pointless busywork and annoyingly sends to stuff to the postmaster frequently.
Quests Should Continue Tracking Through Steps – Quest tracking is good, quest tracking where the tracker disappears every single time you start a new quest step is bad. Makes no sense.
Fix The Hold X UI Bug – This happens when you try to apply a shader or an ornament or bake cookies, the bar will fill then just…not work like half the time. Not good.
Make Instant Summon Sparrow Default – This is just how sparrows should be summoned, we should not have to have it on either our ghost or our sparrow and it would free up those must-have perks to be something more interesting.
Have The Option To Apply A Shader To Everything At Once – If we can preview the application of a shader on everything we own, we should be able to just hit a button and…apply it to everything rather than manually doing it 5-8 times on each thing, especially now that shaders cost nothing to apply.
Fewer Ada Visits For Forge Stuff – Do I really need to explain why it’s beyond irritating to have to run back and forth to Ada every two seconds for quests and Forge stuff? Picking up bounties or frames, fine. Showing her every little piece of crap I find every other quest step, not fine.
A Use For Max Level Prime Engrams – Once you hit max level Prime Engrams now become just like any other powerful engrams, and I think they should at least spawn items that dismantle into 3+ masterwork cores, or they’re guaranteed to have a mod in them, or something like that.
Remove Gunsmith Telemetries – Seriously, why do these exist?
Slot Duplicate Protection – I’m not saying every drop should be the thing you have in your lowest power slot. But I am saying you should not be getting five pieces of powerful chest armor in a row stunting your progress entirely through dispiriting RNG.
More Mod Components For Dismantling – Mod components are sold now, but you should also get more than a single one for dismantling a mod you don’t want. Try three. Or five.
More Inventory Space For Shaders – Okay, you have finally made the vault big enough, now please make shader storage actually be able to hold all the shaders that exist. I’m tired of deleting a new stack every time I find a new shader I want to try.
Display Power Level On Characters – I don’t know if this is to prevent power level bullying or what, but listing everyone at level 30 or 50 is just not useful, and we should able to see what actual power level other people are. We can in our fireteams, we can upon inspection, so why can’t we in the world? While you’re at it, show what subclasses people are too somehow with a little icon or something.
Put The Strike-Specific Loot In The Playlist Pool – While I am glad that strike-specific loot is back, it should also drop in the regular strike playlist which is otherwise fully useless at this point. High Nightfall scores should get you a better chance, but it should at least be possible to farm in normal strikes as well.
Unlock Transmat Effects Like Ghost Projections – It is bizarre there are two different systems in place for what appears to be the exact same kind of thing.
Have Xur Sell Forsaken Exotics At Last – Look, just press the button already. It’s been three months since Forsaken. It’s about to be 2019. Xur happening to sell one Forsaken exotic every couple weeks or so is not going to kill the exotic hunt. It’s time.
Fix The Bug Where You Can’t Leave Matchmaking – I thought the “you can’t back out of matchmaking” bug was supposed to be fixed but I still run into it all the time.
Have Ability To Load Directly Into Forges – While I understand why we can’t load directly into Blind Well or Escalation Protocol because of the way those are instanced, I don’t understand why we can’t just instantly queue into Forges without having to sparrow around for three minutes every time we come back from Ada.
Remove Ghost Fragments – Ghost fragments were fine when Forsaken launched, but having them as a barrier to any of Spider’s bounties, especially the enhancement core ones, feels like a level of busywork that just doesn’t need to exist. Three months later we don’t need to be farming Tangled Shore patrols and public events for 40 minutes to get a few bounties.
More Dreaming City Fast Travel Points – Why is there only one? Seriously, I don’t understand.
Label Public Events – Public events should show what event is about to spawn there so you don’t waste five minutes waiting to see which one it is (yes, sometimes you can tell by where they spawn, but not always).
Re-Roll System For Exotic Armor – Exotic drops are still so rare you will almost never get enough copies of one piece of armor to re-roll it. Charge a bunch of shards or glimmer or whatever and let use re-roll exotic armor.
Collect Bounties From Orbit Or The App Or Both – Again, more busywork that doesn’t need to exist, and is just a whole lot of load screens and pointless tower time. If we can turn bounties in from orbit, we should be able to collect them there as well. Or better yet, they just automatically appear every day/week and we don’t have to do anything. The glimmer cost is so negligible it doesn’t even matter.
Take RNG Elements Out Of Titles – Titles should be about the epic achievements you’ve done in a part of the game, not getting lucky because on your second meatball kill you got the Gambit ship while someone else is on their 70th without it.
Put Eververse Armor In The Loot Pool – I wrote an entire article about this before but more or less Destiny always needs more new gear to grind for and sticking armor in Eververse where you’ll never get more than one or two copies of a piece to hunt for rolls is pointless and not worth grinding for or paying for. But it would be value added content in the game itself.
Have Ghosts Show Modifiers By Default – I really hate that tracked quests and heroic modifiers have to be on two separate screens when you bring up your ghost. There has to be a way to put both on one screen.
Make A North Indicator On The Compass – If Bungie has a reason for this not to exist, I genuinely have no idea what it would be.
For The Love Of God Buff Scout Rifles – I said I wasn’t going to talk about nerfs or buffs, but seriously, how long have Scout Rifles been terrible at this point? I have a whole collection I’m dying to use but they’re ridiculously underpowered compared to any other weapon archetype.

Bump, for most of this.

I agree with a lot of these points, the one I really want to see Bungie acknowledge is the title RNG requirements. I have been sitting on the edge of my Rivensbane title for over a month now, I have completed all the required SKILL based challenges including Petra's Run but yet I still cannot equip a title I feel I have earned because of a stupid sparrow. Yes, I knew what I was getting into when I tried for the title, I knew that RNG would be a factor but for it to still be a factor after 40+ clears and all challenges completed is a little crazy......There has to be a middle ground. Here is an idea, allow specific challenges to drop the RNG items one would need to earn their title (ghost, ship, and/or sparrow) that way if you have completed all challenges including the Petra's Run then you will have earned your required RNG items needed for the title. Another idea would be to allow players to farm the raid more than just once per character per week for these RNG items only. Each time you beat a boss there should be a chance to get the ghost, sparrow, and I would say ship but that requires a key that you can only get out of the chest at the end of the raid (or at least to the best of my knowledge that is the only way to get the ship). I know there is a lot more pressing matters than my need for a title in this forum....Bungie, please speak up and at least acknowledge us to some degree.

I agree with most of them, but I feel like people are going to hate it if Bungie adds Eververse armor to the loot pool. Sure it’ll expand the pool more, but then Eververse will be seen as a pay-to-win sort of thing again.

I can't help but think why is it all these people can tell you what's wrong and how to fix it when the people that work for bungee can't 🤔

1 AntwortenSomewhere, luke Smith is breathing heavily screwing destiny 3 up way worse. Be happy with the progress that was made.

1 AntwortenSort of surprised Forbes actuality dedicates time to play the game, sounds backwards when you think they came with this before Bungie. Right? While we are at this, it would be dope if Bungie also added a way to move the camara while previewing our items or while even making our characters. Hopefully they can score it super well on the next destiny sequel. Because even fallout 76 has got a more modern character creator.

8 AntwortenYou don't need more space for shaders. Jesus H -blam!-, do you kids have brain damage? You can pull a shader to test, from collections at ANY time. There's absolutely NO excuse, and no need for having every single green, blue, and legendary shader with you at all times. If you're hoarding, and your inventory is full, that's YOUR fault. Stop crying for shit we don't need.

Paul Tassi, love him. He has valid points!

Bump so that bungie sees this post 😏

Bearbeitet von FdYAcsoyPKN83gLE: 12/27/2018 3:40:38 PMI would like like it if sparrows had more depth in terms of perks and stats, and did not originate from Eververse but instead Amanda and other vendors like in D1 for reference. Also, how about add reward screens, and nerf Eververse by putting things like ghosts, ships, and shaders as RNG drops in those reward screens based on the activity? 📺

It would be nice if these long ass boring quests to open the forges were easier on your second characters. I mean, I’ve already done the full thing once and just can’t be arsed to wait around for public events on my second two.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Twilight Imperial Paragon: 12/27/2018 1:56:26 PMWhat agitates me to the core when reading all these glaring quality of life (and bug) issues is I don't feel like bungie will ever be able to get them all dealt with... especially since a lot of these issues was actually dealt with in d1, just for us to fall back to some of those same issues again. It's going to be D3 before I feel like 3/4 of these will even be addressed.. Now i think about it, I need to look up the complaints that bungie was keeping track of during d1 and see how far we've came along.
-
this would be a great start! I also think gambit needs some minor tweaks

I've only played D2 since it was sent out some weeks ago. Loved it and got Forsaken shortly after. Been thinking of making a list of things i would like to have changed aswell, and the list just gets longer and longer. There are so many hilarious design decisions in this game i dont know if i have the time to write it.

20 Braytech autorifles later... RNG, ok. But to this extend, no.

Forbes articles always nail it, yet Bungie are either ignorant or reluctant to even pay notice.

Agee with all of these

3 AntwortenMy understanding was that it caused stability issues having sparrows on Mercury. Tbh unless they are going to otherwise develop and build on that location I wouldn't want Bungie to devote their time to solving that one. There are better things for them to focus on, some of those are in your list. Now if they wanted to add some vex portals or gravity lifts (e.g. make the grav lifts that spawn with the goblins stay up all the time) to the map to solve that problem instead 👍

And rework D1 areas back into relevancy, as well as most of the gear and armor. Fix the storyline and with all OP's suggestions, this game destroys any 2019-2020 game. Seriously, just think about it, new content plus reworking what shouldn't have been cut. Bungie can slowly fix the storyline using lore and writing to fix some of the nonsensical choppy DLC stories and put this game where it has the most potential, a 10 year progressive looter shooter. If not, Cayde-6 died in vain just for a cash grab. Just my opinion.

Ok so few things on that list to address. Primes at max power are there to infuse other gear up to level and duplicates for cheaper although raid armor etc not possible from primes but raid stuff higher light anyway. The re roll exotic armor is necessary as so many armor pieces and drops are too low in frequency to see how random rolls is a benefit instead of a hindrance as it is currently although xur should not sell forsaken exotics just up the drop rate a bit and put forsaken exotics into the engram he sells instead. Dreaming city has only 1 spawn as they want people to explore the map but 4 months in I think 1 at each Petra spawn would be handy. Sparrow on mercury..... really, you say it’s only few lines of code but this is bungie we’re talking about 🙈

6 AntwortenBearbeitet von SgtMac31253: 12/26/2018 8:32:14 PMFirstly, the guy who usually writes the articles for Forbes is a moron. He's supposed to be an objective both sides of the story "writer". He's very opinionated and sounds like he copies every cry, moan and weep right off of a Reddit board. Secondly, I will say that while I agree that certain mondaine things like, holding X to apply a shader only to have it stop just before completely filling the bar, should be fixed and is not, it's not game breaking and more an annoyance than anything else. I already gave in to the fact that all the traveling time, and load screens are there to extend a grind or quest to inflate content duration. I can't complain or bother being stressed with a video game that I basically spend change on per day if I break it down. For the toxic posts...Just play, or play something else. Put your opinion out there on the boards as a constructive criticism, not copy paste posts like Forbes writers. Edit: I was not referring to the OP, his criticism is o.k. I was referring to these writers in general recently all sounds like they run pills on forums and take a lazy writing approach. Instead of telling us something new or that we don't know.

2 AntwortenAnother thing I wanna see fixed Planetary Materials Why do we get green and blue? It takes up two consumable slots We only need one slot per material
