Weapons like 1000 voices and Anarchy that are tied to the raid should have a quest line like the Acrius
A weapon that powrful should be tied to a cool questline like the whisper was, like the Acrius was. Unlocking its perks as you play.
Ive seen people go 1/1 and people 0/80 - Hows this fair and rewarding?
RNG progression
RNG rewards
RNG boss spawns
RNG everything
The level of RNG here is silly
At this point ceratin weapons like these and future installments should have a Quest or do what Final Fantasy XIV does. Give a token for every boss clear. Then make it so to get the weapon, you need 20-30 tokens to buy the weapon with said tokens. Not like you havent earned it. RNG isnt earning it, its wasting your time.
Further more, this token idea could also be tied to Xur and allow you to acquire Y2 exotics from him. Xur bounties coming with Season of the Drifter could be the fect opportunity for these? Yes i know its tied behind annual pass and i dont agree with it but its 1 suggestion from many that could be possible but making it tied to Xur makes most sense.

I got my 1K Voices two days ago on my 6th clear of LW, in D1 I got my Mythoclast just before TDB launched which was probably my 30th clear. Edit: Maybe a scaling system that improves the drop rate as we get deeper into the expansion could alleviate this while keeping the RNG element. Something like a 0.1% increase drop rate increase each week.

3 AntwortenLook at Whisper of the Worm. Back when it was first discovered, everyone wanted that weapon and anyone who had it was seen as a next level player. How about when you see the Rivensbane title on someone in the tower? Any title, for that matter (mostly). You automatically know they’ve put in a lot of effort and it’s impressive to witness. If the raid exotics had quests then to see a player using that weapon is impressive and makes them stand out. No one sees an RNG exotic and thinks “they put so much effort into getting that, they deserve it”. All they think is how lucky that player is. Let weapons stand as a testament to a player’s achievements; we all like to be recognised for our efforts no matter what we’re doing. In saying all this, though, I wouldn’t want the quest to be easy. You need to put in the effort if you want the rep that comes with it, after all.

1 AntwortenOR Raid Exotics could be similar to the new Nightfall setup. Every completion that doesnt net you Activity Exclusive Gear increases your chances. It wouldnt be completely RNG that way. Same thing with the Ship & Sparrow. Ive completed the raid about 15 times and have only gotten the Sparrow. My buddy is now at 30 clears and JUST got the SHIP.

I'm almost at 30 clears and haven't seen 1000 voices. About to say eff it since running that raid is getting extremely dull.

Would you only be limited to a certain number of tokens each week? Also when you say 0/80, is that the number of attempts someone has done for the gun?

1 AntwortenQuests for raid exotics makes most sense honestly. They’re usually very good. You have a huge under taking doing the raid. Even if one step was 25 raid completions. I’d happily do it.

1 AntwortenThe RNG is broken because it’s not actually farmable as many popular loot based games offer. Borderlands & Diablo are great examples. If you want a specific item you can fight that boss endlessly until your fingers get arthritic and each time there is a chance. Destiny hard caps the drops outside of Nightfall exclusives. Completed Riven x3 and a Queen’s Walk and no gun? Better luck next week. I’m happy with RNG when it’s incorporated without a time bias; limits on farming become dissatisfying and lead to apathy.

10 AntwortenWell what I find funny is once aquired they are added to the loot pool. So my suggestion is this : Make the Raid weapons available to everyone at the end of the season they are debuted in. So, 1K voices debuted in Season 4 with Forsaken. Now, in Season 5 it should be added to the loot pool. It keeps the incentive to Raiders aquiring it before everyone who perhaps, can't do the raid. And then after a 3 month cycle, the items is added to the world pool.
