Oi lads so last time I posted here it was about what your favorite Halo cutscene, now on this post my question to you is, what is your favorite story mission out of every game you've played?
my answer:
Uprising in Halo 2, I love how the whole mission is just the Sangheili and their allies killing the brutes and how the mission goes full circle at the end.
Halo:Reach Tip of the Spear This is one of my favorite levels in gaming of all time, just behind the last mission of Halo 3 and the part where you fight the Sea Monster god thing from FFXV.
Oh yea and all of Titanfall 2
The thing about this mission is it went from you and Kat all alone with like a Nade’ launcher with 1 shot to a absolute slaughter of the Covvie bastards. And it has one of the best beginning cutscenes in a Halo game. Also loved the lead up into Long Night of Solace in this mission, with you making that bat-shit crazy jump into the Falcon similar to MW1’s first mission. Oh yea and mapping people with the Falcons Nade turret was so -blam!-ing cool

Suicide mission from mass effect 2, all the build up to it and it delievered especially the last run to the ship. Also a couple missions from red dead 2 but...spoilers below.
when you return from guama when the pinkletons show up and the last mission for arthur
2 AntwortenPretty much all of Titanfall 2. That game... mmmm. Delicious

"Whiskey Hotel" from mw2

2 AntwortenGod I’m gonna get some hate from this...
Cod WW2
1 AntwortenNo Russian from MW2. The mission that proved that most of us are monsters and will kill innocents with no context, at least in a video game.
-
1 AntwortenOf Their Own Accord from MW2 There's no intro to the mission like usual for CoD except for the National Emergency Alert System. The mission begins with you in a makeshift underground bunker getting shelled that is housing dozens of injured US soldiers. You walk outside the bunker and you see all of the iconic monuments and structures in Washington DC in ruins. The Radio Chatter in the background has the US running desperate as you hear many "Broken Arrow!" calls. It's all-out war on American soil. Very surreal experience. The atmosphere from this mission is unlike any I've ever played from CoD or any other FPS games. I just pray that something of this scale never happens in real life.

Honestly idk. I’m not typically very into the campaigns of most of the games I play. That being said, I do have a few favorites. Adieu from Destiny 2 vanilla is amazing (the one without your light where you are escaping the city and the sad music is playing),
-
Final Mission in MW3. It felt really personal and I loved it.

All of titanfall 2 Hearts of stone witcher 3 dlc Ghillie mission in modern warfare

1 AntwortenThe Flood from Halo 1. Finding that soldiers helmet cam.... /closeapplication

3 AntwortenThat one mission from Titanfall 2
If you’ve played it then you know
2 AntwortenRegicide from the taken king was just really satisfying.

My favorite campaign mission was the first mission of the second Skylanders game. It was the first time I actually sat down and genuinely enjoyed the game I was playing. It is also part of the reason why I hate Activision. They ruined the games I grew up with for profit, and they continue to do so with Destiny. Speaking of Destiny, the opening mission to Forsaken was pretty good. The environments felt alive, the music was great, and it felt like I was part of the game. Too bad the trend didn’t continue through the rest of the expansion. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but not as good as that first mission.

Every mission in Titanfall 2

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von Smash House Breck: 12/6/2018 9:43:33 AMI can’t say I have a single favorite. I do have sone favorites across a few games though, and here they are in no particular order. The mission “Halo” in Halo 3.
It represents everything great about Halo all in a single mission. The fight up to and away from the control room coupled with the music and Johnson are simply amazing. I enjoy it every single time I’ve ever played it to this day.
The mission “All Ghillied Up” in Call of Duty 4.
Similar to Halo this level is always enjoyable. In fact it’s probably the most enjoyable mission for me in any Call of Duty game.
Pretty much every mission after the first one in Titan Fall 2.
Not any particular reason other than they were all awesome. The fast movement mixed with the giant mech fights were great.
Splatoon 2 and Octo Expansion has some pretty creative levels. The final boss from the base game and pretty much every non puzzle level from Octo Expansion were amazing.
Their creative puzzles and crazy action at times were awesome. Non of the levels felt too easy, especially in Octo Expansion, and all of them were satisfying to complete.
Nova Prospect from Half Life 2 was a good one as well.
Jail breaks are too fun, especially as a one man army who can control bugs.
From Halo 3 ODST NMPD HQ was awesome.
Running around the skyscraper, fighting through a ton of enemies to link up with your squad only to have to fend off several waves of enemy drop ships and banshees with rockets and missile pods was and is so much fun. The music is great too.
Halo REACH Tip of the Spear
The opening of this mission is still awesome. The music that plays mixed with the cinematic always pumps me up. Then you have to fight through a bunch of enemies in and out of vehicles, only to end with capturing the tower and the story taking a turn. Man was it amazing the first time.
Mass Effect 3 The Citadel.
This mission is supposed to be one last hurrah, and man does it deliver. Not only do you get some amazing gear and character interactions, but the missions you play during it are simply amazing.
That’s about all I can remember off the top of my head. Edit: I can’t believe I forgot about Uncharted 2’s train mission.
This level still has some of the best set pieces in the whole series. It was just one action set to another the whole way up till being found and taken to the village. Such a good time.
The final spider-man ps4 mission.
-
Titanfall 2 spoiler:
I like that mission right near the end where Cooper and BT are captured. It wasn't until that point that I realized how much I actually cared about these characters.
I can't say for sure that it's my "favorite", but it definitely stuck with me.
-
3 AntwortenI know that destiny is a touchy subject around here, but Nothing Left to Say is probably my favorite. Honorable mention to the mission in Titanfall 2 when you change from past to future.
-
A side quest in Witcher 3 where you had to find a woman's son in enemy territory. Boy, did that tug at the heart strings.
-
Bearbeitet von Cell-3: 12/6/2018 2:39:56 PMThe mission in Bioshock Infinite where you gotta defend yer airship. On the highest difficulty it’s some sweat-inducing shit. And the banter of Mechanized Patriots does not help!

1 AntwortenPersonally, I’m a huge fan of The Covenant from Halo 3. What makes it really memorable for me is that scarab fight with One Final Effort playing in the background, a great level with a great soundtrack.

i think its halo ce's 3rd mission. the one where you land on the beach and assault the covenant. i still wish halo was more like that. an open map, lots of ai and vehicles. marines vs covenant.
