This is the Worst DLC launch yet....
The horde mode is the only thing new (other than the raid which isn’t out yet) and you can’t even complete it, and move to the next quest step, until you’re 615? So this first week we are just doing the same stuff we have been doing for months already! Theres nothing new!! Can’t even get anything from the new vendor.
update: They made it easier. Just took a while and lots of tries with terrible random teammates. But finally completed it at 607. I’m now 615 with two Hammerheads and the auto rifle. Now doing the quest where you have to do patrols, adventures, strikes, etc, with Forge weapon equipped for powerful engram. It’s actually not as bad once you finally beat the forge the first time. It also really helps having good teammates who know what they’re doing.
Update: now 622 and at the second forge. I like it a lot better than I did the first day.

I haven't got the time to run through every quest milestone etc on all three characters, then pass guns over to another, I've barley got enough time to run it all on my main, so a solution needs to be found. Many players have jobs families and responsibilities that take their time also, we're not all able to spend ten hours a day running repeat quests over and over again for that Lil extra 3 light 😬, talk about usher of towards Anthem, bungie cutting their own throat again.

9 AntwortenThis is the first DLC of any kind I didnt buy and after logging in yesterday afternoon to see what was changed, Im sooo glad I didnt. As a day 1 beta player of destiny, it pains me to say I am now 100% done with the game. The ride was fun but Ive just totally lost interest and these new styles of "DLC" are definitely not my cup of tea. Thanks for the fun. *waves*

Yep. Luckly i did not buy it. Lesson learned from D2, Osiris and Warmind. Wait and see. From the looks of it there is no point on buying the dlc until i can actually enjoy it at my own pace. I dont even want to do the weekly chores. I had 3 toons back at D1 i loved playing with all of them but in D2 everything is so boring. Well at least i find it boring i guess its my opinion. I do enjoy QPlay thou. I could put more time into the weekly chores to get exotics but i dont get them and when i do its dupes so no point on that either. New content on the other hand would get me interested but i feel idiotic paying upfront full price to get time gated content. I dont think the price is high. Just that paying for something you are not going to get upfront is -blam!- at best.

Nothing new to do this first week you say? Let's see: there will be 2 forges and the new raid, all available during the first week. As for not doing the next step till you're 615: people have already beat it being under 610. I get it, people dont read nor listen, so instead of paying attention to what bungie said the annual pass would be, they created expectations in their heads and are lashing out cause it hasnt met those yet. I get it, but who is that on: those people or bungie?

6 AntwortenTotally disagree. This is end game material not story, not progression but, end game. bungie told us they were going to cater to the hobby players, not the casuals. This does exactly that. For those who play everyday for hours you spend some time leveling up a bit, and complete the forge first level. Day one or a couple days in etc. I have nothing against the grind. I play every week, working on milestones for my collections and triumphs, things I have overlooked, like strikes, I now have good reason to go back and start boosting those completions up, triumph at 250 strike completions etc. The pass doesn't work for casuals as many are well under 600 power and won't get the enjoyment of the new content until they have reached 615.. This is no longer going to be a game to simply dip your toe in once in a while, its either invest in the game and enjoy it or likely move on to something else.

Did anyone see the the part where they said this isn’t going to be a full blown DLC and that the forges are ENDGAME content. If you aren’t willing to grind then find a different game cause with Destiny, you have to put in an effort for what you want to earn.

After doing the other flashpoints i bet i can get to 610-612 and switch weapons and do another character. I'm confident I will have a 615+ character by the end of the week, and by that time I will have done forge. Just calm down, it's a week long grind. Also, gladd and datto and others have done the first forge at 600, so anyone can. If you play the "they're pros I'm not" card, you're just lazy. Just grind this week. If forge had been 600, people would be complaining just the same. Update: I’m 612

8 AntwortenPaid my son 50$ to play with me . You know take a break from blackout and fortnite . Played an hour or so and got to forge he’s only 520 power . He came down from his room gave me 40$ back turned and walked away lmfao .

Can I also just point out how much of a con the anal pass is? Even ignoring black Armory, "season of the *REDACTED*" is straight up trying to get players to buy something even though they don't know what it is that's even worse than black Armory because at least they tried to make it look legit

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tk: 12/5/2018 6:07:05 PMThe challenge of the elders update in d1 yr2 brought a reworked prison of elders horde mode with new and old weapons, armor, exotics and bounties... chroma armor, taken armor, zen meteor and others, prison of elder armor and weapons (many worth grinding for), queen's wrath weapons, a bit of story and a strike (the malok quest) with a strike specific loot... All for FREE. Black armory is like a worse paid version of that (only thing that might make it worth it is the raid)... Makes no sense

It’s basically farming escalation protocol then doing milestones. Very few will be anywhere near raid ready as a result when it drops.

3 AntwortenEVERY new DLC which i paid for in Destiny 2 had a new end game area AND story missions, Mars, Mercury, tangled shore and dreaming city. And now? Nothing? I won't pay anything for nothing. it doesn't matter if this was communicated in front, i just demand a new area for my money! i don't need so called new weapons or shaders or armor. It's really sad for all of us, no actual problems solved and on top nothing delivered

111 AntwortenWe doing this again? 🙄 So people are still surprised we need to level up for content now? We’ve had this for a while with Escalation protocol, Spire of Stars and Last Wish. God like players will power through the content under levelled, and people like me will just plod along and eventually getting it done. I personally think this a good way to do it. I much prefer a steady progression, instead of powering through content in a week. If people are that precious about a purchase, maybe wait and see what is actually in the dlc. You would of only had to wait a day 😂
