Quickplay Crucible: Fireteams farming blueberries
Competitive Crucible: 5000 Glory vs 500 Glory
Gambit: 4-stack with Synthoceps, Well of Radiance
Nightfall: Too easy to care about, no matchmaking
Heroic Strikes: Renamed "Vanguard Strikes"
Strikes: Merged with Heroic Strikes for being pointless
Trials of the Nine: Removed for being dead
Factions: Removed for being pointless
Tokens: Pointless as vendors don't reset stock
Materials: Pointless as they can be purchased from Spider
Xur: Mostly pointless, unless you're new
Weapon Telemetries: Pointless to the -blam!-ing max
Mods: Underused because of inability to acquire components
Masterworks: Underused because of Enhancement Core cost
Bounties: Annoying to collect, can't be hoarded
Power level: Pointless if you're overleveled
Collections: Pointless since you can't retrieve most gear
Seals: Locked behind RNG
But at least the music/art is nice and gunplay is fun???

Let's just hope it goes upward and better from now on...

PVE in general is in a great spot if you can forgive the non-existent exotics, and the stupid infusion system. PVP is currently hostile to new and average players. Matchmaking has never been worse. Good for the hobbyist; not so good for everyone else.
-
1 Antworten5500 vs 500 what lobby is that? I want to join!
-
Pve is I a generally good place, bungie just need to lean towards more of a nock out algorithm for exotics and the super rare stuff to stop ridiculous dupes. PvP on the other hand is a lost cause.

4 AntwortenThis is why I love the Bungie forums better than the destiny subreddit. You would either get downvoted to hell by white knights or post removed by bs mods.

What a shambles

Quickplay: stacked fireteams exist but are far from the norm. Also making your own fireteam is an option. Competitive: Played my 25 to get Redrix this week and didn't see this once. Not disputing just never saw it and I started around 300 glory. Gambit: Can't blame them for stacking up infamy takes forever to rank around. A lot of the randoms who play gambit just do it for the bounties or the powerful rewards and therefore do not play the objectives. So this may seem to be a stack problem but a lot of it is the other randoms problem as well. Also you can make your own stack. Nightfall: Who cares if it is easy? You can make it as hard as you want if you want a challenge. I personally don't care about matching making and it is not that hard to make a fireteam. Heroic strikes: Renamed who cares. Strikes: Pointless to me, only because I have all the catalyst. They have also stated there will be a pinnacle weapon for strikes this season. Trials: Yep. Factions: Yep. Tokens: Removed for being repetitive. We didn't need 2 forms of currency for one vendor. There were and people could argue still way to many consumables. I was happy to see tokens go. Though I will agree that the planetary vendors are pointless right now. Materials: Well if you look at the forums people piss and moan at doing the simplest task. So is spider a bad thing, I don't know? I know you could take away his materials and I wouldn't care. Xur: I can understand this some what. At the start of D2 exotics dropped constantly and with Xur's prices being low it was easy to get all of the exotics relatively quick. I say get rid of his engram and make his prices a hell of a lot higher. I suspect he will start selling some of the Forsaken stuff once the new dlc comes out. Weapon Telemetries: Yep, same with the consumable that lets you get more of them. I have almost 19 full stacks of weapon parts. Get rid of telemetries. Mods: Never should have been a thing in the first place. That being said I have 175 mod components and never worry about them. I put mods into the things I want when I want. Also there are ways to "farm" mod components, but people are just lazy to do it and would rather complain. Masterworks: I currently have 469 cores. I masterwork what I want. You don't have to masterwork everything you own. Plus they are supposed to rare. There are plenty of ways to cores in my opinion. Bounties: Annoying to collect? Yeah I guess so. Can't hoard them? Do them or don't buy them. You really think Bungie want you to hoard bounties all week then complete 10-20 in the time it takes you to do your powerful engram for crucible or strikes? Power level: Not sure what your point is here. Collections: Need some work, but it works how it was explained. So, don't delete stuff that you want if you know you cant get it back. Seals: Yep. I don't mind some rng but there has to be some light at the end of the tunnel. Maybe something similar to nightfall specific rewards. I have done everything in the dreaming city every week and I am still missing the damn ghost. I should have been curse breaker 4 weeks ago.

Yes, you´re right. But let me add something: - The lagfest Crucible (where you can see enemies after they kill you); - The small maps that ensure everybody is either rocking shotguns or Telesmo; - The constant nerfing that make every weapon shoot pellets in PVE while "metas galore" in PVP. At least, even being the worst PVP experience in the market, Crucible never switched my team because of balancing (yeah, BF you sucked).

12 AntwortenI once heard an EB games staff member trying to hype up Destiny 2 for a customer, when the staff member went off to get the disk, I had to let him know that he was getting sucked in by the sales rep. He left the store before the rep got back because he couldn't bring himself to turn down the rep. It was actually kind of hilarious.

You have a point, however a 4 stack with synthoceps and a well mean -blam!- all. I and a buddy faced one yesterday, we whiped the floor with them. You just have to know how to counter it. When they invaded they usually got 1/2 kills but we had already banked so we only lost 15 sec of time, no progress. If we had our primeval, we killed the envoys, waited for an invade, killed the invader and burned the boss. We won 2-0. We had 2 rando’s in our team that realised what me and my friend were doing, which was tractor cannon and super. 2 blade barrages and a third super of choice together with some ikelos sg rounds and the boss was gone.

I love Destiny 2 but I have to agree with every single point in that post. Only way to improve the game is to point out the flaws. (Although I would make one tiny adjustment. gambit: people who use strategy get matched against headless chickens.)
-
2 Antwortenlol. lets list all the flaws Destiny 1 had yea? or any game for that matter. i can argue many points about this post but it seems this guy is just venting and frustrated with the state of Destiny. i’ll leave it be.
-
Actually quite funny an true
-
Hard to argue with that. Crucible for me is the biggest killer. Went in yesterday for a daily and got matched with a four stack of Hunters all running Luna, Shotgun and sliding everywhere. Next game .. more of the same. Ugh. I only play Crucible for the weeklies and Iron Banner, if this is the way it is I'm gonna skip it.

Pretty much everything you said above is true..... I would also add that the legendary loot pool is extremely shallow and mostly uninspiring while the exotic grind has become pointless for most. That said, I think the game is in a much better state than it was and I genuinely have enjoyed the game more this season than any other. Substantial improvements have been made in terms of the sandbox and power fantasy, PvE content has been absolutely some of the best they’ve ever done and there are tangible, compelling reasons to want to play things like gambit and Competitive crucible. The list you made absolutely shows that there are lots of things still to be improved upon, but we shouldn’t just focus on the negatives and ignore all the good stuff that has happened
-
I still love destiny, but i agree with you in most thing, and picking up bounties made the game feel slower again. I prefer having flashpoints/challanges in my director.
-
Spot on. This game is a project run by incompetence, and with a corporate overlord with far far too much input (it's in the contract, freely viewable via Google). It's built for addicts, end of. And as with all addictive stuff, people will only move on when something better comes along with the same draw. Destiny is surviving because it's no competition, and bungie know this. Player numbers never vary much daily, because addicts play every day IF they can. There's no growth in the franchise now, it's hit saturation, twitch n YouTube numbers are tanking, overlords aren't happy, n bungo are silent despite a dlc being 1 week away.

2 AntwortenI JUST LOST A MATCH WHERE A FULL STACK - LOCK THE MATCH INTO THE LOADING SCREEN , PLEASE SOMEBODY SEE MY LAST AS A WARLOCK, AND WATCH THE WINNING TEAM HISTORY AT COMP.

I say that Bungie goes back to D1, reverts it back to HoW/TTK, and starts from there. What I wouldn't give to play one more weekend of old school Trials of Osiris.
-
6 AntwortenDestiny 2 vanilla was aids Destiny 2 forsaken is syphillis It’s better to have syphillis than aids
-
1 AntwortenI’ve been away for Destiny for months, was not aware trials is gone.... how come? While it caused plenty of salt it was still very popular in D1 anyway.
-
3 AntwortenCrucible is beyond trash. Gambit is entirely broken. Exotics are so rare they make the grind feel pointless.
-
7 AntwortenIt's the best it's been since the launch of D2 yet the daily active playerbase is still tanking. Putting aside the annual pass debacle, BA has to be good, we can't have another boring content affair like CoO.

Haha, good one.
