Take a damn break.
No seriously, it works.
I took a break and returned and got Two-Tailed Fox from the Flashpoint reward.
My brother has done it multiple times and has gotten Wavesplitter and Queenbreakers in one day. He’s also gotten Trinity Ghoul and some others.
It doesn’t sound like it makes sense, but if you really think about it, it does...
I grinded my a** off in the first couple days of Forsaken-got nothing. Many others have been in the same boat as me. Then, people have been saying that their friends that barely play are getting new exotics (my friend got Shards of Galanor and only has one character at about 505 light.).
This is such a Bungie thing to do. Reward players who barely play so they are enticed to play more. And don’t reward grinders and players who play daily so they tell themselves “if I keep playing, I’ll eventually get one”.
Maybe I’m delusional, or maybe I’m right. All I know is I’m sittin here with my first forsaken exotic while others have none.
So take a break, and get some exotics.
Edit 1: Fixed spelling mistakes
Edit 2: Yayyy trending
Edit 3: I see many people asking how long a break you should take-when I got TT fox, I took a 3 day break. I played some GTA V with my brother and some battlefront 2.
My brother however took a week break and got wavesplitter and queenbreakers.
In conclusion, higher break, higher reward. If you don’t mind straying away from Destiny, then 1 week break is for you. If you like looking forward to your daily shooting shït in the face, then take a shorter break.

Nope, it doesnt work. Its all in the mind and more importantly RNG. I play on all 3 platforms. Sometimes because its all three I can go for a week or a few days not playing on any given platform and it makes no difference. In fact I still havent gotten one forsaken exotic and only had 4 in total which have been all old stuff.
-
Bearbeitet von Akorn: 11/19/2018 2:19:24 PMThis actually does work. Not completing quest exotics actually lets you get more. I have every quest exotic. And once i finished them I got three in the same day. Tell me it doesn’t work, I’m pretty sure it does.

I've pout in at least 30 hours a week in since release, never took a break and I'm only missing 4 forsaken exotics. It's all rng man. Plenty of my friends hardly play and they still have ZERO don't think that has anything to do with it. Rng will be rng regardless.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Pointdownguy: 11/18/2018 9:45:01 PMpeople are so desperate to get forsaken exotics that they've now started thinking the best way to get exotics is to stop playing the game. just an fyi for everyone who thinks its legit, its not, I've got 5 forsaken exotics and I have been playing everyday since i got forsaken a month ago. if you really want forsaken exotics just play more not less
-
1 AntwortenI haven't played in almost a month, hopefuly this works.
-
4 AntwortenI play like once every 3 weeks since I'm so busy now. I get nothing. Get this pack of lies outta here. You just had decent RnG.
-
1 AntwortenThis “theory” is BS since I don’t get too much time to play at all anymore so it’s usually just every Saturday when I can hop on. I haven’t gotten a single exotic since. Last one I got was a hardlight many weeks ago and now I get nothing. Knowing my luck I’ll keep getting dups for exotics to “entice” me because it’s happened consistently in the past and I never end up getting new exotics until the DLC has basically become obsolete because a new money grab DLC has come to take its place. I’m literally fed up with this game to the point I choose not to play it a lot more often than I used to.

This is easily believable given how much psychological research goes into consumerism.
-
Play another game that’s how

1 AntwortenStill getting D1 exotics, but not forsaken.

Bearbeitet von CookieNiki: 11/18/2018 9:27:10 PMFirst of all, if that's true, the simple fact that one has to stop playing the game to get the rewards for playing said game is the ultimate proof of how flawed this RNG system is. That said, there's been weeks when I could only play on weekends so there's a 5 days gap between playtime right there. Nevertheless, over two months after launch all I got was Shards of Galanor and I've lost count of the dozen hours I've played this expansion. Still waiting for my first Forsaken exotic weapon to drop.
-
1 AntwortenI just posted about exotics. In 3 weeks, 12hrs a day i have gotten 3. The wife, who has played just about as much as me, is above 12 now. 4 of which were in the last 24 hrs.
-
If this is true, it’s so sad!!!
-
I’ve been convinced this is a thing for a while now. I can almost guarantee that I pick up an exotic, a catalyst or a drop I’m chasing shortly after returning from a break.
-
5 AntwortenWow, so the people who play everyday like me a solo player, won’t get rewarded with some sweet new exotics, but some random guy who hasn’t played in a month will get more exotics than me? Great now I know what to do. My first forsaken exotic I got minus the ace and thunder lord, was the oath keepers, and my bows aren’t even that high power level yet.

1 AntwortenDestiny is a casino.

2 AntwortenLololololol OMG.... I just got my second Cerberus ... I'm missing 10! Forsaken exotics and that gun is one of the only new ones I have apart from quests. This exotic protection rubbish is just that....
-
I got wavesplitter by loosing a competitive match.
-
I just got the Black Talon from killing a Vandal on the EDZ. Praise RNGesus!

ADUST your tin hat!

In the last 4 days I’ve gotten plenty of foresaken exotics. 👍🏻
-
It’s honestly kinda weird it works like this, happened to me yesterday.

This. Was offline for short while, got on after reset and after I got Thunderlord I picked up Queenbreaker from a heroic story mission and Cerberus from Ikora's weekly quest. Next day I got Lucky Pants and Trinity Goul. Aye, take a break, get the loot.
-
Got lord of wolves and trinity ghoul last night in a couple hours. My bro once again didn't get jack.
