Hey all,
Since the release of Forsaken, we’ve been fielding feedback concerning the Oathkeeper Exotic Gauntlets for Hunters. Primarily, players do not feel that the Adamantine Brace perk offers a significant change to bow charge times.
As such, we are removing “Bows charge faster” from the description of the perk in an upcoming update. This armor piece will continue to give a minor decrease to charge times, but will no longer be called out as an aspect of the exotic perk.
Moving forward, the focus of this exotic will be that players may hold bow charges indefinitely, with the benefit of Perfect Draw being applied to arrows fired, even after longer hold times.
We will continue to monitor this feedback as it comes in, so please continue to sound off with thoughts concerning the Oathkeeper Exotic!

So working as intended right? Beyond lazy on this one. Only took a couple months to formulate this response saying they're not bugged the text is just wrong. No.
-
OR instead of just changing the name do some actual work on the exotic by making it reliably better because, y'know, if you have to make a thread saying you're going to make a name change rather than make an actual change to how the exotic works because you've been getting negative feedback on it. Doesn't that mean it time to reconsider the piece and ask "Hey, what exactly is the issue with the exotic and what can we do to make it worthwhile for players to use?" Stop sweeping this kind of thing under the carpet and actually do something. There are plenty of thing in this game that need improvement and merely renaming everything that has issue is only perpetuating the problem not fixing it.
-
So instead of making an exotic work as intended, you guys are just gonna change the name. Really? This is “enhancement core” all over again.
-
Bearbeitet von despicable-stev: 11/9/2018 1:39:30 PMStop with the name changes already !!! Just make something that works as described!! You hacks
-
First masterwork cores, now this. Are Bungie just going rename everything that is broken or inconvenient or annoying for the player?
-
So remove perk because you can't fix it?...gotcha. SMH Bungle
-
Hey Bungie, It looks like ya'll are going down hill again. Damn! That was quick...
-
So in other words they're garbage and we worded them to sound good . we been rumbled so have took out the bull
-
-
This is -blam!-ing pathetic! You guys are literally so lazy at fixing stuff that you’d rather just take whats broken out of the description instead of ACTUALLY FIXING it. Prime example of classic bungo.
-
Wtf is wrong with you bungo?!

1 AntwortenHey all, Since the release of Forsaken we've been taking feedback concerning load times. Players feel that it is taking a long time to load into their inventory. As such, we are removing the "inventory" from the game. You will continue to collect weapons and armor, but you will no longer be able to access or equip them. Moving forward, every time you load into an activity, your loadout will be randomized using rng. This will have the added benefit of completely balancing the crucible, which we all know is the primary focus of all Guardians. We will continue to monitor Feedback as it comes in, so please continue to complain about things so we can 'fix' them.

Kinda of disappointing to hear since this is one of the exotics I have an one of the very few new ones I've gotten. I do like Bows and they should fix it not rename it. Yes holding your draw time indefinitely is a plus but now this cool exotic is now less shinny an might get shelved because of this.
-
An exotic that lets you hold bow charges indfinatly , and only that. 10/10 great exotics bungie

This is the wrong direction to go in. Any bow aficionado would go out and get this if the draw time change was more significant. But now, it’s going to rot in the Mechaneer’s Tricksleeves, Ashen Wake, and other useless exotic armor pile. The problem with something like Tricksleeves or Peacekeepers is that they have very underwhelming perks that can be solved with perks. Outside of this game, Max Payne 3 had a perk for its loadouts in multiplayer called Trigger Happy. It would give you a grenade launcher after a certain amount of time not using the perk. Problem is, grenades exist in the game and are quite overpowered, making the perk useless, and not unique. Oathkeepers is in the same ish situation. It has two useful perks, both having to do with drawing the bow. Keeping the bow drawn indefinitely no one really cares about, and in fact encourages bad play and gamesense. Draw time on the other hand is quite useful. It sounds and is more desirable than the former. Buff these gauntlets and make them useful.

Bearbeitet von LastBroccoli: 11/9/2018 1:42:21 PMMany of us love the wishender but are sad that it doesnt work as well as we hope to. Oathkeeper was our hope, so that both combined (even if its only for hunters), would mean a viable setup. Now Oathkeepers will surly be shelved and Wishender is something fun that demands the sacrifice of beeing quite inefficient. I'm sure you can do better Bungie. I get that its hard (considering balance), but this is very frustrating for all players who had hope.

Bearbeitet von octipussprime: 11/9/2018 1:43:25 PMmaybe don't do that and buff them, maybe while aimed in with a bow you get an agility boosty boost and can strafe much faster and what not
-
Trash decision. They need a buffed draw time to actually be exotic. Holding the shot longer is useless 99% of the time.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von Tengu: 11/9/2018 8:34:35 AMWhile you're at it, why not take the whole "• Strong programming foundation and experience with C/C++" out of the job description for "Gameplay Engineer" since much like the exotic, you seem to be lacking that as well. Cause lets be honest, it's not like you'll be using it anyway working there. ; ] https://g.co/kgs/cco8br

They are useless for players who hate bows

Its not just this piece. Many of the perks on armor and weapons dont proc either correctly or consistently. Reverie dawn armor is a prime example once you put transcendant blessing on it you should be doing more damage right? Not always! Sometimes its working sometimes it aint same can be said for my rifle reloader gauntlets, sometimes its working sometimes it aint. While we're at it how come 5 years later primaries still just stop firing intermittently and warlock scatter nades still just bounce up and down in the air? These have been issues in the game for years that have never been addressed not only have you not fixed it you wont even axknowledge that it exists! But hey " buy the annual pass everybody this time we get it right." What a joke.

This is ridiculous even by Bungie's standards, exotics are in essence the spicy ingredients you put between a sandwich and if they don't even work then what is anybody playing for? The forefront armour and weapons of their game and they don't even work properly? It's like they slam out an expansion with all this broken shit they haven't somehow discovered through play testing and all call it a day because they've done enough work for this quarter, shift all resources to the sequel! The cycle of destiny always being slightly underwhelming will always continue as a result of this model as Activision doesn't want to risk an evolving updated mmo lite. They want that and a call of duty revenue model via sequels. I feel for the developers of the game that are genuinely trying to give us a good consistent experience but they are squeezed by business practices left right and centre. One day, somebody will get the mmo lite formula right and when they do Bungie had better hope they have their shit together.

I found them today and was so exited about. After some hours playing i was very frustrated because i didnt know about the issues before. The oathkeeper have been the most wanted item to me because i realy love playing with bows, and in my opinion the oathkeeper working as the perk says, with a reduced drawtime would be a worthy exotic. If you realy decide not to increase the drawtime reduction they ll become useless. To do propper damage with a bow you have to be able to shoot as many arrows as possible, it just doesnt make sense to hold a full drawed bow. If playing in gambit i dont have a benefit if i can hold my bow fully drawed the entire match!!! I hope you can fix that and give them a noticeable draw time reduction.

26 AntwortenBearbeitet von Blimgauss: 11/9/2018 12:55:01 AMGreat! So now the two Forsaken exotic armor pieces I've gotten — Oathkeepers and Gwisin Vest — BOTH don't work as intended. The only Forsaken exotic weapon I've gotten was Trinity Ghoul — which I was looking forward to using with my newly acquired Oathkeepers, but now, both will be vaulted. Trinity Ghoul's draw time is prohibitively long, and if Oathkeepers do nothing to alter draw time, well, then why would I use either? I love Forsaken, but this "fix," if you can even call it that, strikes me as the epitome of laziness. "Hmmm, this exotic piece of armor doesn't work as intended. What can we do?" * silence, lots of head-scratching * "Oh! I've got it! Let's ... change the description, so that people can no longer complain that they're not receiving a stated benefit of said exotic!" You do realize that faster draw time is the MAIN DRAW (pun intended) of this exotic, right? Why would I want to hold a drawn shot forever on ANY weapon that removes radar when I ADS? All it does is make you more likely to get flanked and killed.

FFS this is like renaming masterwork cores instead of fixing them. You people sure do like moving your own goal posts

Would be great if your team could also look into "Shards of Galanor", atm they are the most inconsistent Exotic in D2. Made a thread about it here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/249574330?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1 Thanks
