Hey all,
Since the release of Forsaken, we’ve been fielding feedback concerning the Oathkeeper Exotic Gauntlets for Hunters. Primarily, players do not feel that the Adamantine Brace perk offers a significant change to bow charge times.
As such, we are removing “Bows charge faster” from the description of the perk in an upcoming update. This armor piece will continue to give a minor decrease to charge times, but will no longer be called out as an aspect of the exotic perk.
Moving forward, the focus of this exotic will be that players may hold bow charges indefinitely, with the benefit of Perfect Draw being applied to arrows fired, even after longer hold times.
We will continue to monitor this feedback as it comes in, so please continue to sound off with thoughts concerning the Oathkeeper Exotic!

Not gonna lie, that's a pretty lame ass exotic perk.

As someone that uses a bow as my main weapon in crucible I was really looking forward to obtaining these gauntlets, but now that i've learnt about the fact they has a minor increase to draw time and will stay that way i'm profoundly saddened by this terrible news.

2 AntwortenI would start by asking myself "What is the purpose of this exotic? What power fantasy does this fulfill? What edge does it give?" If you're using the combat bow like subtle calamity or arsenic bite, as a main weapon, you've already got the draw time down. You know when to release the shot. The cadence and tempo are memorized and ingrained in your head like the rhythm of a drum beat. So you're always going to get the maximum damage for the charge. As it stands right now, and with the proposed "changes" you're considering this perk doesn't offer any edge to the player who's chosen to invest their exotic slot for a piece of bow related gear. The reason I put changes in quotes is because "Moving forward, the focus of this exotic will be that players may hold bow charges indefinitely, with the benefit of Perfect Draw being applied to arrows fired, even after longer hold times."....... The oathkeepers already do that. There is no change. There is no fix. If you're adamant about not giving the decrease in draw time that we all want, Give us something in return. Fulfill another power fantasy with the exotic. Please reconsider. Please give us the draw time we want and need. Keep your oath

Salt salt everywhere typical bungie

2 AntwortenSo instead of fixing the perk you're just going to pretend like it isn't and never was there and just remove it...........thats actually pathetic. Ya know I usually try to play devil's advocate for you guys since all this community does is hate on you and I try to look at situations from both perspectives, but this just appauls me so much I can't even this time. Sad, lazy, and pathetic is all I can say.

Changing the name of the exotic perk... Hmm... This is terribly familiar...

Bearbeitet von indigovibe: 11/9/2018 2:54:07 PMPlease reconsider the charge time. Improving the perk would allow it to be and feel more exotic and versatile. ~ I also want to add that I was excited for a buff and using them when I finally get them to drop. I'm pretty disappointed as with a lot of others here.

Mmmm... I’m honestly a little disappointed Bungie (Not you dmg04). Simply changing the name instead of fixing the “bug” is detracting from the fact that it’s an exotic that is supposed to be strong. A big part of bows is getting off multiple shots quickly and dealing a lot of damage at once, not holding it and biding your time. Wish-Ender is the only application in this, and even still has to be fired quickly to be viable, in both PvE and PvP. Sorry, can’t support you guys on this one.

Bearbeitet von ChadsGotaPewPew: 11/9/2018 3:51:40 PMHahahaha I feel bad for the people who work for the decision makers at Bungie. Do you think anyone there feels bad for the player base who is screwed by those same decision makers?

1 AntwortenYou want more feedback? This solution sucks and now it's a terrible exotic
-
Hmmm then it will no doubt be gathering dust in the bottom of everyone’s vault forevermore! We were all hoping it would buff the wishender draw rate but that is not to be it seems... a real shame for what would have been quite a useful and unique exotic. Anthems out in feb guys - you have got to up your game and keep delivering on promises or I foresee a mass exodus in the new year.

So now instead of fixing things, Bungie is just gonna reword things? WOW. I guess along with “it too hard to create content”, it’s now too hard to fix things? JMO

Bearbeitet von bronze189: 11/9/2018 4:58:43 PMBungie is a company the truly represents how major game companies are right now. A bunch of lazy greedy corporate pigs who want to put as little effort for maximum profits. Edit: now that I think about it considering all the shady and child like tantrums game company’s and bungie in particular have done in the past i would not doubt they are intentionally releasing lazy updates to the game because after the forsaken dlc did not meet expectations they are intentionally punishing their fanbase for not crawling back to them on all fours after putting in slight effort so now they are right back to no effort before the DLC. Edit 2: yes its been confirmed that Activision was not happy with destiny 2 as a whole sales including the base game to forsaken and preorders for upcoming content. So bungie promises to add more ways of monetization which we are already seeing with eververse selling old emotes for real cash only.

Yeah, gotta say I'm really not a fan of this new method of fixes. In fact, why can't you just get stuff right first time. You guys test stuff right? Either you tested these and you team of yes men said they were amazing, or you didn't and now instead of making them an exotic worth using, you're changing the wording. I can't wait till something like the raid breaks and you change its name to broken activity. I bet eververse never gets name changed.

5 AntwortenHow about giving Oatkeeper something like The Fundamentals from Borealis? "Elemental Damage with bows will automatically match the targets shield" That would also incentivize players to use exotic bows more often.
-
Hilarious solution.
-
No point to use those gauntlets then... I usually don't have my bow charged for 3+ seconds... That perk is quite useless.
-
Really? There are exotics way more overpowered than one that halves charge time. That's just disappointing.
-
Very disappointing to hear this. I wish you would reconsider
-
Oath Keepers are useless then. the only exotic perk will be that you can keep the bow drawn... i guess it will be great for campers who have these and wish ender. why would anyone use these over shards of galanor, or sixth coyote, or orpheus rigs, or any other exotic armor piece. WHAT A JOKE!
-
Lazy as -blam!-. Got them yesterday and they look amazing and I want to use it with Wishender but nope, make it useless Bungie, great work.
-
11 AntwortenAnd people say hunters have the best PvP exotics
-
Why not... change the perk to not be for bows. Give the current perk to some legendaries, because all classes should be able to have the perk, and make the perk something like, “blade barrage does more damage and weakens enemies with a burn debuff on the target” because blade barrage is just so underwhelming to use
-
Wouldn't know, don't have them....
-
So working as intended right? Beyond lazy on this one. Only took a couple months to formulate this response saying they're not bugged the text is just wrong. No.
