D3 should build onto D2. Bungie already did the same mistake with D2, by scrapping hundreds of hours we put into D1 and resetting everything.
D3 should be somehow implemented into D2, without a need to be a separate application. Just make it as you would with a DLC, I dunno, accessible through the director or the menu screen.
And for people that wanna buy it but don’t own the main game, just make it standalone. A lot of other games did this before.
There is no point in scrapping content we enjoyed for years.

2 AntwortenSorry but do you stream or twitch or YouTube? If you don't bungie don't care what you think.
-
If D2 was a DLC for D1, literally NO ONE would have a problem with it and all would call it one of the best things to happen to Destiny. But because they released it as an empty full-blown sequel, people obviously...
had problems
-
1 AntwortenBottom line: The entirety of D2 should have been a dlc for destiny.
-
Like base D2 should have been for D1, plus a PC version, sorted.
-
I prefer D3 as a standalone game. I was burned after D1, D2 was horrible crap, but somehow different from prcedessor, so I enjoyed it for some time. After Forsaken unrewarding hamsterwheel I am totaly burned out and dont care anymore what bungie do with D2. Destiny 2 was born as hilarious monstrosity and beside fact that I like Forsaken, better bury and forgot this shit forever.
-
Remember what happened in the time between d1-D2 we lost everything
-
Then I’ll have to turn my Xbox on the night before to load into the tower
-
3 AntwortenYou got it backwards, all our gear/progress should transfer into D3.
-
If D3 retains a lack of a knockout system for everything, I'm just not going to but it. Day 1 D1 player, but it's enough disrespecting my time.
-
No it should be stripped back and sold to us in dlcs
-
If that was the case get ready to be disappointed

11 AntwortenEven though I agree a few things are going to happen. 1. Bungie is going to blame the new gen like the last 2 as an excuse why they can't do certain things. 2. Bungie is going to sell the base game with 2 weak at best expansions just like D1 and D2. 3. Bungie will scrap D3 like they did with D1 and D2 to sell in pieces leaving mass amount of issue like D1 and D2. 4. Bungie will tell you how they improved the game and made all these changes that they will be able to keep up with the game even though they haven't been able to do it in 4 years. 5. Bungie will still be useing their broken 1900s engine that has major coding issues, which by the way is half the battle making this game and having decent updates on a regular basis. 6. From what has been going around D3 is going to be more for streamers. I only scratched the surface on what is actually going to happen. Can some of that stop and this company actually make a decent game for the player base? Yes, but will it stop? No.

Bearbeitet von Surprised Brony: 10/30/2018 11:56:37 PMI disagree. Keep in mind I want that to happen but...the engine isn't the best for this. I'd like our exotics to be there in the next game, perhaps in collections or something, but levels and a lot of legendaries can usually be left behind. I miss Genesis Chain and I'll miss Ikelos_SG_V1.0.1 just as much, but exotics at least need to stay consistent from now on. That'll keep them from reselling them to us at least. Some key legendaries could be brought back in the game but at base level. However, until they have a good framework and engine that can support constant updates and allow them to do ESO or WOW amounts of updates to a single game, this idea of just more DLC isn't feasible. They need to take time and rebuild with this in mind, but without negating our stuff once again.

Well seeing that we now know that the 2 games in this series were almost identical. Meaning they were great concepts but only shells until the big Sept expansion. I’m not buying D3 until it’s September expansion. I will end up paying way less for a more complete product.
-
I want 3 to be a full merging of 1 & 2 PLUS new content 🤪

1 AntwortenIf you were a developer you'd strike me as one of those idiots still coding in COBOL because you think it's "Just the greatest language ever."
-
Not possible.
-
Bungie has a contract that they have to abide by...
-
I mean if you want to make D2 unplayable and broken, go right ahead and do that. Meanwhile, I’ll be playing on a fresh disk that isn’t overloaded with data and code that could break the game at the simple touch of a button.

No Destiny just needs to die! Its stale and misleading devs will never change

4 AntwortenIf D3 would be an DLC of D2 i might consider playing it But... If i lose all my progres, Gear and all the other stuff i earned and get a bullshit worthless excuse of something which is supose to be a game that takes 3 full DLC s to make it somewhat playable, like we got with D2... It is bye bye for me and bungie can go massively f*ck themselves

Bearbeitet von msqar: 10/30/2018 7:38:11 PMYea meh, this will be my last Destiny, got tired of starting all over again, and at the end, it turns out to be the same thing. So if they release Destiny 3, i won't buy it. Seems that, whenever they ran out of room on the map selection screen, they create a new Destiny... they can't adapt. Imagine if World of Warcraft did the same... with that huge world, we would have World of Warcraft 25 by now.
