Lever Action Texmechanica Scout Rifle
So with Forsaken having a western theme for the expansion how about a new exotic or legendary scout rifle? Like a lever action Texmechanica scout either single or double shot archetype. Not in the slow 150 potato archetype but 180 or 190. With a cool reload and lever action to it so I can feel like the Rifleman or John Wayne.
I use alot of different weapons and dont get me wrong, you got it right with Forsaken Bungie. But it feels like scouts need some love, some excitement, some reinvention to them. Having a good scout in your arsenal is just good insurance and there are few I would use for all activities. Tired of seeing the 150 archetype for any new scouts.
It's too slow and hits too soft.
I see all these new archetypes for weapons 5/4/2 burst pulses, double shot/timed payload handcannons, bows, etc. And it's awesome!
But scouts have been the same 3 archetypes since day 1 D1. Give em some love.
Also, is Boolean Gemini returning? I know it's not a super popular gun like Last word or Bad JuJu, with good reason, it wasnt a powerhouse but there was something about it I really liked. Anyways, this is not a complaint or arguing anything.
Just a thought I had that would be cool to see new exciting scouts to go along with everything else.

5 AntwortenI would like to see Tlaloc make a return as a Scout Rifle every class can wield, since Ace of Spades is no longer Hunter-only. I'd also like to see Fabian Strategy come back as well. I miss that gun.

Smith & Wesson 1854 repeater would be nice as a scout if that’s what you mean, red dead redemption 2 will most likely have them, if you want a western theme that works,, buy RDR2 😁

This sounds awesome! They really need to add more Tex Mechanica weapons. Those are by far the coolest looking weapons in the entire game, Huckleberry, Last Word, The Prospector, The 4th Horseman, The Chaperone, First Curse. All of these amazing western themed weapons. We need more! (I seriously want First Curse and Last Word to return SO badly, those hand cannons were sweet!)

I like the style of the Winchester but I can't think of how to make it an exotic. All the other Texmechanica weapons have unique perks. How to make this one interesting? A 150 scout rifle that can two tap?

That or a bolt action sniper. Feel like either of those would be a cool idea

It should be a special archetype like the hand cannon from the Warden strike. 110 or 125 rate of fire, like a slow hand cannon so you can actually see the cocking animation, but can kill in 1 headshot and 2 bodies, and then after you kill someone with a precision hit it can kill in 2 headshots.

I’d be cool with replacing golden gun with this. Hunters are for stealth and scouting. But most of their supers are for short to medium range. Would love being able to snipe out knights or other majors with something like this.

Lever action western style rifle that's something between a scout rifle and sniper rifle would be real cool.

I’m cool with this. A lever action rifle would be cool in general for an exotic. I’d also be cool with never seeing another scout rifle meta— that was a large part of why d2’s crucible went under for the first good span of time. It was all mida all the time.

Agree about the Gemini. I don’t know what it was but something about that gun just pulled be back from time to time. When I could let go of my Fabian Strategy. Also. Bring back the Fabian Strategy.

1 AntwortenScouts have been the same 3 archetypes? High impact. Precision. Lightweight. Rapid fire... I count 4 there.... And if there would be a 2 shot scout it would most likely be a 130 RPM.

4 AntwortenAbso--blam!-ing-lutely. That's my only disappointment with Forsaken on the content side. Everything has been amazing....but there SHOULD have been Winchester-style, lever-action, repeating scout rifle. You'd have never gotten that thing out of my hands. Especially my Hunter.

Getting a precision kill increases rate of fire. (Lasts for 7 seconds and resets on Precision kill) Perk: That lil' bit extra... -Equipping this weapon increases movement speed. Rapid kills provide grenade energy.

There already is a Tex lever action Scout, it is called the Chaperone.

2 AntwortenCall it "Eastwood". This sounds awesome. Scouts are my favorite and they feel mostly like trash right now. Especially in PVP. MIDA got the worst Catalyst of all time, and the thing sucks. I'm all for moving on, but kinda sucks to put that much time into a weapon and lose it being any good. Anywho, let's gets a nice scout in there!

3 AntwortenThey really do need to do something cool with scout rifles.. after that silly ninja nerf of theres, and the ill treatment of them.. We need a cool solid scout rifle. I like hand cannons and all.. but come on, Id love a western themed scout done in the texmichanica western style. Oh and make it kinetic.. Im sick of all this elemental stuff.
