Sleeper Nodes: 38/40
[b]Dynamo.Core.Catwalk[/b]
[b]Dynamo.Approach.Cavern[/b] (also, almost positive I've opened this one at least once)
For the love of all this is holy, where should I combine stems in order to have the best chance at getting these 2 nodes? I've combined a hundred at the Drift spawn, and I get Dynamo, Descent, Futurescape, everything but these 2 that I need. I opened a bunch in Futurescape and in Mindlab before that and never got them either.
I mean, this is starting to get a little effing ridiculous...

Dynamo stuff should be combined at Futurescape. The Dynamo Approach is difficult to determine the best place, but Futurescape is likely your friend as well. Alternately, I would try creating them in the Mindlab. It sounds like you know this already, but in case you don't, use d2checklist.com to track which nodes you have left to do. Getting all 40 is a pain in the butt. According to https://youtu.be/-YIVInIJbGM Your best bet is going to be combining at Mindlab. You are at the frustrating part of the entire hunt now. :( I ended up combining 3 sets while going from orbit to Tower and got my last one. It's still up to rng though. Good luck with getting those last two.
