Edit: So I think after seeing some comments that I take back what I said, and instead agree that there should be some loss points, but not so much loss points. Because in my experience no matter how skilled I might be, I cannot help if I load into a match with a team member who immediately starts killing himself to benefit the other team (happened yesterday). That or starting a match where a team member immediately quits or gets Ddos'd.

Comp is to much of a cheese fest right now. I cant count that amount of times I've run into a full team using the telesto or wavesplitter, or the abuse with the gwisin vest glitch. This games has power weapons and abilities that in comp can have you just demolishing a team or getting demolished. The idea behind was great but it doesn't feel complete. They really have to take into consideration the types of weapons in their game because a 4 on 4 is whole different story compared to the 6 on 6.

5 AntwortenA proper competitive ranking system needs a mechanic to move players both up AND down the ranks. Otherwise, eventually everyone reaches Legend in which case what's the point of the ranking system in the first place? If you just want to grind out points, play Valor matches. Glory works the way it does for a reason. FYI, I'm still in the Brave division, been hovering between 700-800 for awhile now. Luna's Howl is likely out of my reach but I'm not going to ask for a change just to make that easier.

Bearbeitet von Oh Lawd He Comin': 10/12/2018 4:32:25 PMI'm sorry but I am absolutely shocked that this is a serious thread. We're actually questioning whether ranking should be removed from ranked PvP?! What the heck is the point of competitive aside from the ranking system? This thread represents a new low for the Crucible forum community...

3 AntwortenInstead of taking away points for a loss, you shouldn't get anything. To balance this, they can lessen the amount of points you get for winning, and only have the highest amounts be achievable through the 5 win streak. That way you're never losing progress, but if you lose a lot, you're technically not making any progress either. You're going very, very slowly. Similar to how it is for the final rank of Gambit.

It shouldnt go down at all. If im at 2000 points and i win a game and go up to 2030 or whatever, i just proved i can beat players who are near 2000 points as well. If i lost at 2030, why would it make me go back and win at 2000 again just to try 2030 again? It makes no sense, and im sad about it. Im sure thats not how d2 comp works because reasons but whatever.

2 AntwortenBearbeitet von necewin: 10/11/2018 9:54:46 AMTracking Glory only makes sense if it’s used as MMR/ELO. But since there’s no SBMM in Destiny 2, it mostly serves as a gate for Luna and Not Forgotten. It just boggles the mind that Bungie scrapped SBMM because a few people complained about having too many close matches. What sort of backwards logic is that?
-
1 AntwortenNo because that’s what makes it competitive
-
1 AntwortenThey should change it so you lose less points for losing with a smaller team. Like 4 or 3 can stay the same, but if you lose against 4 people and your team only has 2 or 1 it should be significantly less points lost. And maybe a point gain bonus for winning a 1v4.

7 AntwortenThe best person on the losing team should not lose points
-
how about more points for running solo ? and the ones in groups get the same old points for winning cause they're more likely to win anyway.
-
2 AntwortenAnswer is easy. If have dedicated server. Solo vs solo team vs team. Glory point matchmaking. We should losing points. If we going to currently piece of shit comp. No hell no.
-
4 AntwortenYou lose 30 for a lose and gain 35 for a win so if your win rate is 50/50 you’ll always be progressing. That’s also ignoring that there’s win streaks which grant you even more points
-
I think there should be point deduction for losing. I’m grinding solo for Luna’s howl now and it’s harsh for me. I might never get it. But at least if I do get it, it gives me a sense of having persevered.
-
THAT LITERALLY THE POINT OF IT!
-
1 AntwortenYes, but they take way too much away. Nerf that shit, Bungie!
-
I think comp needs to be more about that gap from casual play to playing 8 hours a day That being said There’s no way I’m getting a Luna’s howl this season. Too much bs that’ll stop me from achieving it even if I put in all of the hours possible. That’s why I like the broadsword quest you can’t get screwed over by it due to back pedaling
-
Right now its nonsense for solos to lose points when you get matched with stacked teams. Its a LOTERY. And if some of your solo people quits you just lost a match. Naturally stacked teams will join back. If matchmaking was fair i totally agree. But right now we should not lose so many poitns when there is a TIMED QUEST.
-
I would be fine with point loss, but the loss is to steep. If i get ddosed don't remove my points, if I lag out don't remove my points. Also a win and a loss should award more than 4 points.
-
Dude doesn’t matter. We paid for a game that is severely flawed in a lot of respects. Just around and jump and randomly shoot. You will get the results. Doesn’t matter what gun you use. The supers does matter. Hunter is complete garbage now. The supers are a joke and the dodge is worthless. Ohh I can turn invisible for 2 seconds and ppl can still see me. I’m badass. Oh I can dodge. Wahoo. So yeah play get your 80 worth and move on cause the developers def don’t care. Well enough to have a forum where players can complain or insult each other over something that doesn’t matter.

2 AntwortenThe problem with competitive is for solo players. I personally don’t like PvP and only play for powerful gear (quick play) and when friends drag me into it to fill the spot with not-a-random. That said I hear their complaints and think there should be an internal system set up for solo players. I’m thinking a 25% loss for top spot, 50% loss for second, and bottom 2 get no cushion. Coming in as a team disqualifies you for any cushion whatsoever. Still keeps the spirit of the system without punishing solo play
-
Yes obviously People want participation trophies
-
Sure. Or you should lose a piece of high power gear that contributes to your light/power level. Could be a random loss or you select an item before you queue into a match as a "toll"
-
If you’re going to complain about a game mode don’t play it play QP comp isn’t for everyone so stop trying to make it for everyone. Sorry you can’t get Luna’s howl, sorry you decide to solo que and match stacked teams, why don’t you just wait for next season for the quest thats going to be similar to orientation. stop being a sore loser.
-
I voted no, but it's based on me being a solo player who thinks we shouldn't have a competitive playlist beyond trials. Until Bungie gives solo players a way to gain glory that doesn't put them at a severe disadvantage, losing points needs to be done away with. Because like it or not, there will always be solo players going into the so called "team-based" match lists. Not doing so is not fun for a good chunk of the player base.

Bearbeitet von Trash Boat: 10/11/2018 11:25:26 AMYes, but not 30 when you only get 34 on the next win. Especially with the broken ass matchmaking. You oughta lose 10-15 on a loss. I mean, I know I sure as shit wasn’t happy when it paired my group, all at 1000 Glory, with a group of dudes using the Not Forgotten. Shit’s not cool bro.

Losing or winning points should be based on your individual contribution, not on winning or loosing as a team; there are to many factors which are out of your hands; and in the end this is just a frustrating experience; I would play much more if they would change it like that; now as a solo player I only play and drag my misery through it, because of some lame reward. bs design!
