Feel free to vote your opinion.. in my PERSONAL OPINION (Keyword) I think it’s the invaders that have too much power. I feel like they should tweak invading right now because it gives too much power for once person equipped with Sleeper. I don’t think sleeper is OP at all, it’s just when you use it too invade, there lies the issue.
As a whole, if you were to look at Gambit, it makes sense to use heavy ammo/supers when you invade to stop the enemy team. But currently feels way too strong with the “wallhack” ability combined with a death laser. I feel like they should have the “wallhack” ability pulse every 5-10 seconds or so to give an idea of where players are at without just knowing there positions and pre-firing sleeper all the time. That way it gives invaders a slight edge without seeming like it is useless fighting them when they have Super/sleeper..
To all of those that say it isn’t a problem, that’s ok. Then it shouldn’t be a problem if they made changes to it. To all of those that say they never see sleeper in Gambit, bullsquash. ACTUALLY go play the game mode to see what the fuss is about.
To all of those that say “well just look around where he spawns and kill him, it’s not hard.” Well it’s not that simple billy. It’s not like you can drop what your doing to find him. A good team can make call outs and find the invader pretty quickly and dispatch accordingly. But when you have things going on like Primeval spawning, fresh add spawn, depositing motes, dealing with blockers, etc. It just isn’t that simple all the time to be weary of those things AND the invader all at the same time. So I don’t accept that as a counter-argument.

As the penis poll suggests, invaders are too powerful. It’s not because of the over shield, but it’s because they almost always invade after they’ve picked up heavy ammo. I’ve gone through entire rounds of gambit without ever having a heavy ammo drop or been able to pick up the heavy ammo spawn. In those situations, I’m pretty much defenseless against an invader if I’m not running a sniper in my secondary. The way this could be fixed, would be to eliminate the heavy ammo crate, and give everyone a set amount of heavy ammo that they spawn with at the start of the round. This would give everyone the opportunity to defend themself, as well as forcing a choice between using your heavy on the prime evil, or wasting it on a guardian.

None of the above.

1 AntwortenWould be nice if that the icons above the enemy team faded after a few seconds, maybe stay permanently on the people that have 9+ motes

The FACT is sleeper is the ONLY long range weapon that can 1 shot body shot kill ANY guardian, no matter what light lvl you are or how much armor you have. Combining this with all know radar, there isn’t effective way to kill a skilled invader before he killed at least one of your teammates.

All I know is I’m enjoying Queenbreaker bow. It’s just as deadly and I’m not a sleeper scrub!

8 AntwortenI think its the fact that the invaders can see thru walls COMBINED with Sleeper. If ppl take that into consideration and be alot more aware, Gambit should be just fine. I honestly dont think its sleeper. I think its the “seeing thru walls” that making the ppl unaware, an easy target. I could be wrong tho.

3 AntwortenI don't get why I still see posts like this saying Sleeper is an issue in the hands of the Invader. It isn't, not in comparison to the issue Sleeper brings when in the hands of not one but four defenders. Sure the invader gets to see his targets, and gets overshield... And his one Sleeper. Defenders get four Sleepers, more often than not this is becoming the case, and predictable spawn points. Once you know those 3 spawn's on any of the maps it becomes simplistic to shut down an Invader with but a single Sleeper shot from one of four people. Never mind the fact that Sleeper will eat up the Invader's overshield like it wasn't even there, even if the Invader has the level advantage. So tell me O.P... How is Sleeper an issue in the hands of an Invader and not in the hands of four Defenders???

9 AntwortenI don't know why invaders have heavy ammo enabled, they have an overshield AND they can see through walls

Sleeper has far too much range. It should be a one hit KO. It shouldn’t be able to snipe me dead all the way from the opposite side of the map.

2 AntwortenSo nerf invaders so they have no power invading? Problem is - you people complaining about invaders play Gambit like shit. You don't look for the invader. You don't stop collecting motes. You don't protect the mote holder. Get your shit together and start playing right and invaders won't be a problem!

5 AntwortenPeople charging the invader like idiots. If they didn’t run run out into the open when someone invades sleeper wouldn’t be as much of a problem
-
1 AntwortenI like how invaders spawn in behind us

1 AntwortenI mean just about everyone I face uses them. Yesterday we faced a 4 man all using sleeper but I kept wiping them using the long walk and sins of the past. It's just a matter of playing smart really.

Oh, and my Hunter knives outdoes them all, even sleeper.

6 AntwortenThere is NO issue with sleeper anywhere in the game. The problem is people NOT knowing HOW to defend against it, and other weapons. Pretty soon this game will be akin to MarioKart or Barbie Dress up.

2 Antwortensleeper is risk/reward in gambit, as is all heavy. it would be nice to see a reduction in wall hack time though. maybe just 5-10 seconds of it so you can generalize where the enemy are and then fight.
