Dear Bungie,
You really need to work on the load times in Destiny 2. Since the release of Forsaken, the times seem to be getting worse. I spent $70 on Forsaken plus the annual pass. If you take all of the money that Bungie has received for Destiny 2, Destiny 2 Forsaken, Destiny 2 Forsaken Annual Pass, and any DLC, that is a lot of money. Bungie can easily take some of these profits to make the performance of the game better. It's not about my $70, it's the total dollars that Bungie has made on the game. It should not take 2-5 minutes to go to one location, start a Gambit, start a strike, etc. These are horrible times to load for a game. Even the character screen can be sluggish when looking at your weapons/armor.I think you should add some enhancements to fix your network. You have plenty of money to invest in enhancing loads.
Thanks

1 AntwortenHas anyone attempted to put an SSHD into their PS4? How have the results of that been? I am looking to do the same. I have heard that if you are only playing one or two games at a time, the load times are reduced quite a bit.

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von Davebomb: 10/6/2018 10:09:00 AMBuy an SSD I did and I no longer have any loading times at all It’s nothing to do with connection or server issues it’s simply the console trying to load the data. And SSD is Instant I like a spinning drive trying to find the data needed to load. I have rubbish internet compared to my friends and I still load in faster and don’t get loading screens at all anymore.
-
8 AntwortenThat is called console limitations. Youre never going to get pc load times on a console simply because the console cant handle it.

4 AntwortenThere are people in this world that still don't know that technology becomes outdated over time? Amazing.

4 Antwortenxbox one hardware is obsolete. they are programming based on pc and xbox one X. Buy an xbox one X and you wont have that problem.
-
3 AntwortenThese are network issues not our hardware.

3 AntwortenJust bought a Samsung ssd for my Xbox one x and wow the diff. I’m barely in orbit at all now. A couple seconds and I’m flying into the planet. I paid >$100 for my usb ssd drive(500GB) easily transferred destiny and a couple other games over to it and it drastically impacted every game that loads in maps. Worth every penny!!!

4 AntwortenFacts 1) - Bungie thanks you for your 70 Dollar Contribution and thank you for telling us that you did, a lot of people on here care about that. they wont reply to any post unless you tell people exactly how much money you have spent. 2) - Bungie is aware of all the money they make. they are a business. they are sad though that you didnt buy the digital deluxe edition. 3) - the time it takes to load your game has about as much to do with bungie's network than Faketaxi.com has to do with public transport. 4) - if you can spend 70 Dollars on Destiny 2 expansion and annual pass, im sure you can spend 80 - 100 dollars on a 1TB SSD which will solve all your problems. i recommend Transcend or Western Digital. copy all your big open world games onto them, and keep your internal for Media Storage.

1 AntwortenGlad you think that a server holding over a million people to load you into a map which has a shit ton of stuff on it will load quickly

Bearbeitet von AlphaLion42: 10/6/2018 3:05:22 PMI would agree. The loading times need to be better and honestly the same with going into your character screen to swap weapons. Or at least have a quick equip option. And I do feel the menus need to be restructured so that they’re a little more efficient. Also, we should be able to place a pin/marker anywhere on the map and mark it for a waypoint, instead of being able to mark only certain things. Just helps farming and helps people with their time.

The company that can't even offer dedicated servers for their "competitive" modes? lol...

Agreed. The loading times are ridiculous. I'm annoyed but ok with match loading times and loading onto a planet. But the loading during strikes and between areas on planets is total BS. Beyond anything any normal person would say is ok.
-
1 AntwortenYa the loading times are pretty outrageous currently. It has gotten so much worse with forsaken. It basically take 20 minutes just to get in and get bounties now to be ready to start playing. Then there is the loading time when you go from one area to another sitting there stuck just waiting.
-
I actually just started my own post about the exact same set of issues... I hope something is done to improve this because I never really noticed this as bad before Forsaken.
-
Are you on console?
-
Just ran strikes where the next areas wouldnt load. We had to run back to previous areas to get the next areas to actually start loading. Was ridiculous.
-
Definitely agree with this post. The worst part of D2 Forsaken is no doubt the loading screens that players experience in almost every activity. Even the Tower. Head to Ikora and you’ll often hit a loading screen in the hallway. Dreaming City is real bad when on your sparrow going from area to area. I have noticed that those playing on the XBox one x don’t experience the same amount of loading times as others on older consoles do.

4 AntwortenI feel sorry for console players who got dupped into thinking they purchased the latest gaming hardware when in reality they bought 3 years inferior hardware upon release. Consoles are no longer worth what they ask for performance at the moment. Get a gaming PC for a little more and it will last you longer and perform better than consoles.
-
1 AntwortenIt’s funny as hell when my buds are frozen in air loading and I just walk right past them because of my one X
-
strike load time can be manipulated if all players don't remain on the loading screen until they have spawned in on the planet
-
It's hardware. I've played on an normal xbox one and a xbox one x and the load times are day and night.
-
Walking into new locations causes loading for me bungo pls
-
5 AntwortenHmm no offence but it sounds like you almost want the loading times that you get on a pc, but on a console.........never gonna happen dude, if your console starts struggling and you have to start looking at ssd drives for em, upgrade to a pc and never look back, ever since i did ive had no problems, and my poor consoles are steadily gathering dust now haha
-
ITS NOT ENOUGH MONEY FOR THEM YOU DONT DESERVE SHIT KID DONT ASK FOR ANYTHING LIKE THAT
-
12 AntwortenIt's a hardware issue not the servers. Transfer your games to an external ssd and you'll see vast improvements.
-
15 AntwortenConsole or PC....because either way the problem is on your end, not bungie's. The hardware is the problem.
