I gave up on destiny 2 last December and haven't looked back since, never even played the dlc's even though I paid for it, is it worth coming back to now? I played d1 into the ground and played d2 until I realized that d2 really wasn't that great, now I'm hearing lots of decent talk about it. So whats up?

Bearbeitet von Patient3591: 10/5/2018 6:24:49 AMIf you hadn’t already paid for the DLCs, I would say Nah. Just like with Taken King, you have to have to own the base game and both DLCs to get this one, and while I like Forsaken, I don’t like it enough to pay that much for it. Since you have them anyway, sure, why not? Things are definitely getting better. There’s still work to be done, but you can see that they’re improving. The grind is back, but they went a little bit too far in the opposite direction. The pendulum will swing back like it always does. Meanwhile, your guardian actually feels powerful again. Grenades are stronger, everything cools down faster, and there are a lot of very powerful weapons, including major buffs to all the Y1 exotics. The new supers are almost all awesome and fun to use (not a big fan of the Arcstrider one personally.) New weapon slot system makes D1 style load outs and D2 style loadouts both possible, and ammo mechanics keep both styles pretty balanced in PvP. In PvE you should probably rock a D1 style loadout if you want to keep up in DPS. There is a lot more to do. New PvEvP mode, some new PvP modes, 6v6 is back in quickplay, reserving 4v4 for competitive. Rumble is back with its own exclusive playlist. Power matters again in IB and Trials. PvP balance is in a really good place. Some folks think shotguns are too strong right now, I think they’re right where they should be (not a shotgun user). If there’s a problem, it’s with the maps, not the guns. There’s a good amount of PvE content this expansion, and even more for you since you skipped the small DLCs (you didn’t miss much there though). Random rolls are back, so you can chase those god rolls if that’s your thing. In general, it feels like we’re about back to where D1 left off. Slightly better in some ways, still slightly worse in others, but overall, I’ve been enjoying it about as much as I did Taken King.

3 AntwortenThat’s a slippery slope asking this community if your looking for anything positive, and if you do come back whatever you do don’t use sleeper in gambit or an angry mob will come and burn your house down

3 AntwortenAt a month after release, I'm basically done with the game again. There is no point to the end game activity repetiveness. By the time you're high enough to raid, you've already done everything but raid. Once you've beaten the raid once, you're done. The raid armor is nothing and by the time you get the raid weapons, there's nothing to use them in. They've somehow managed to remove the looter aspect of the game. I've had 25-30 exotics drop since the expansion came out, 2 were new ones.

Bearbeitet von Kanashimi510: 10/6/2018 12:31:55 AMIf you enjoy playing as a solo a lot of the time, no. Unfortunately, bungie refuses to address the bad matchmaking while continuing to put a large majority of progression behind their pvp mess.

13 AntwortenNot worth it. Worse than its ever been right now.

There’s more of a D1 grind in it now. Powerful gear tier rewards, the harder stuff being more rewarding. A not so great infusion economy. Very low chance of exotics, even lower for a new one. Majority pvp exotic quests, the wish Ender bow only comes around every 3 weeks from a dungeon. The raid is higher in coordination but same power level as a typical run. Just stuff stuff to consider

4 AntwortenDepends on what kind of player you are. I'm a fairly casual player so I still have a lot to do which is cool. Crucible is in a great place right now imo, lots of good load outs to try. Gambit is still a fun mode despite the popularity of certain weapons. Exotic quests are a good time-filler. I still haven't tried the raid so I can't speak on that, but I definitely feel like I got my money's worth.

I returned, d1vet here also, some artificial grind inserted here and there but all in all I'm enjoying destiny again, peace guardian

Nah, its a better game now, but the economy, matchmaking and grind is the worst ever.

1 AntwortenWhat have you been playing? Serious question. I'm waiting for the next wave of games. Rdr Bf5 Are a couple examples.

No not yet.

6 AntwortenI would NOT. Plenty of great games going to come out in the next couple of months.

It’s all up to you

2 AntwortenHere's the question you need to ask. Do I want to?

5 AntwortenDon't come back, I had fun till I realized how pointless the grind to raid ready is when all the content that gives you light is raid level light requirements. Ascendant challenges will F you up even if you are 540, queen weeklies don't give you shit, and yeah pretty lame game. Glad I realized it quickly

3 AntwortenThey’ve definitely listened to us over the year, and I think it’s worth at least a story play through. There’s nothing emotional in the story, but it is interesting and it transitions into the best place ever in Destiny - the dreaming city. It’s pretty fantastic but I won’t give spoilers here. They’ve also got race specific dialogue as awoken in the city, which is a really cool detail. Mods are far more interesting, but also incredibly rare. You can stack the same mod in all slots if you want, and the cooldown ones aren’t tied to subclasses anymore. Weapon mods can do anything from increase mag size to bumping in air accuracy. Armor perks are back and as good as ever with the new slot changes. Some armor perks increase ammo drop rates, increase ammo reserves, or increase ammo per ammo brick. PvP is faster, and shotguns are a huge thing now but if you ever played D1 this should be nothing new. Some maps are stupidly small but I’ve had some fun. Raid is probably my most favorite one ever, it’s really cool.

Coming from someone that played so much d1 and played the hell out of d2 for a month into the release of vanilla then quit- honestly going thru the dlc campaigns and then foresaken was super refreshing and the state of the game right now is the best it's ever been
Besides Masterwork Cores Being Used For Infusion
They went back to d1, but with a bit more grind. If you have time to put in to forsaken I would say it’s 100% worth it.

Its alot better, I myself barely touched CoO or Warmind tbh had almost given up on it, but watched a few of the pre release vids and thought why not? All depends on what you expect though, its alot better than what it was, but some things remain, the grind is real probably more-so now than ever for D2, exotics rarely drop and even if they do they are likely to be a dupe and not anything new. Supposedly the exotic drop will be addressed soon And there is alot more to do than with the past 2 Dlcs progression can be a little slow post 500 just depends on what activities you do, if you dont raid or grind crucible expect it to be a slower grind (in saying that Im yet to do gambit, I dont raid, and havnt done a NF yet and my Highest is 534)

I have played D2 a lot for it’s whole life cycle, and if a friend asked me what you did I would say “nah, save your money”.
