Honestly, what do you think of Super Mario Odyssey?
I love Super Mario Odyssey honestly. The game is amazing...and super fun.
But I've seen some people turning against it lately and saying most other Mario games are way better and more fun, but I'm not sure if that's the majority or not, probably not though.

The game is really held back by it's world. One of my favorite things about platformers is the original and charming setting/character that you won't find in any shooter or RPG. Outside of the Cap Kingdom, this game's setting is pretty uninspired. The game is also full of... filler. Most of the moons are worthless content and aren't particularly enjoyable. The game is fun at first, but trying to 100% it is a drag because of this.

1 AntwortenI don't have a Nintendo console. I enjoyed Mario games when I was a kid and young teenager. I don't think I'd like playing them anymore. But Nintendo will always have a special nostalgia place in my heart.

23 AntwortenHonestly? I think it's perfect. 10/10. Any flaws people pick out are just nitpicks. Some are valid, even accurate, but nitpicks all the same. It's like, imagine someone handed you a diamond and you complained because there were too many corners. I could point out some flaws, but why bother? Ultimately, they don't stop the game from being 10/10.

7 AntwortenOnly 3d mario game i like more is 64. Odyssey is practically a flawless game to me. My only gripes are the controls, they heavily imply you should be playing in dual joy con mode, personally i played it in handheld and docked only. I have no actual complaints towards the game aside from controls, i just like 64 better.

16 AntwortenOne of the more enjoyable 3d mario games to me. I love the diversity of the kingdoms and how they all have some sort of liveliness to each of them. I enjoy using the controls to beat levels or areas in a different fashion than what is given to the player! Then again, I love doing that with all the 3d games... I mean, 3d land was fun, and 3d world was a blast to play, despite my dislike of the boss fights. The Bowser tower fight was at least cool. Only played the first paper mario (if that counts), wasn't crazy about it. Ttyd is good, but I'm not crazy about it either. And I've gone over galaxy, sunshine, 64, so no need to spew out my point again.

7 Antwortenyou know I find it interesting that a lot more people are voting "haven't played Odyssey" than voting "haven't played BotW" when Odyssey sold more than Botw.

2 AntwortenPretty fcking good. I hate the huge amount of moons but I also kinda love it now. Was playing the other day and saw something I passed up every other time I went through the particular area. It was a Bowser statue that you could control and slide a bit forward. It was on top of a moon lol. So random and stupid but I loved it.
