Good evening everybody! This is Aifos coming to you alive from Radiant Garden, with-
*bonk*
Ow.. Did someone just throw a frisbee at me?
Lea: “Sorry about that old man!”
What!? Old man!? I’m only 21! Harumph.. Kids these days..
Oh, right, where was I? Oh yes!
Games, like any form of storytelling, are bound to evoke emotion inside you. Sometimes, it’s things like fear, anger, or sadnes, and other times, it’s things like laughter, and joy!
Now, you could go and find ten thousand different lists of the saddest moments in video games, but jamblased why aren’t we ever talking about the happy stuff!? Well that’s what we’re doing now!
Tl;dr? Here’s my point!
Happiest moments in games?
My answer:
Spoilers for Kingdom Hearts
In Kingdom Hearts 2, everyone’s favorite double-crossing (anti?) hero, Axel, sacrifices himself to save Sora’s life. If you can’t tell by the fact that “Got it memorized” is my.. Status.. Thing.. I really liked Axel, and his death hit me right in the feels!
Fast forward a few games, and we get the prequel Birth by Sleep! Before Axel was turned into a Nobody, and inducted into Organization XIII, he was a regular person, living in Radiant Garden as Lea.
Albeit.. A regular person in Radiant Garden with big spiky “I’m gonna be important” anime hair.
Regardless, there’s a scene in BbS where Ventus, and Lea were just laughing, and hanging out with eachother, and I just had this big goofy looking smile on my face the whole time. I really missed that guy!
But that’s all for now folks! Jambuhbye!

Bearbeitet von Rylor Threev: 10/8/2018 4:04:50 AMThe Witcher 3 hearts of stone dlc The marriage mission, it was fun doing the activities there, even forgetting the reason as to why I was there, just having fun with some nonsense, then the glass man shows up and all the anger comes back ME3 Citadel dlc I guess it's self explanatory, since I liked that specific part from hearts of stone

Beating a select few bosses in Bloodborne. Killing Cleric Beast first try, Gehrman+Moon Presence, Amygdalla was a rush, and KILLING THAT STUPID TENTACLE BITCH EBRITAS! ...Sorry... thoughts of her still bring hate.

The Stan Lee cameo in the new Spiderman PS4 game. Didn’t expect it at all but I was pleasantly surprised by it.

8 AntwortenSpoilers for Final Fantasy XV
I cri every tiem. Actually though, I start to cry around the campfire scene when Noctis is having his final campout with Ignis, Prompto, and Gladio. After that, if I remember correctly, the throne room scene plays. The camera pans over to the empty throne during Noctis's funeral, and Noctis appears in the chair, followed by Lady Lunafreya to show that they are now together in the afterlife. At this point, I start to smile because they've finally found closure and done what they set out to do at the beginning of the game. Then the camera pans over to the photo on the throne, for which I always choose the picture of everyone together before they set out to the other country. Finally, the credits start to roll as the Florence and the Machine cover of Stand By Me plays, the same song from the beginning of the game, and the dialogue from the car breakdown scene plays between pauses in the song. From here, I am smiling while still half-crying as I remember my amazing adventure (except for ch. 13) and the story it told of four friends who always stand by each other.
3 AntwortenI loathed Reach but seeing Captain Keyes at the end was a nice way to tie in the game with Halo CE so I was happy to see him again. Citadel DLC in Mass Effect 3 and seeing everyone there having a great time. Paarthurnax's reveal and conversations in Skyrim cause he's the only character in the game that's interesting. Seeing The Plumber in the 2016 Ratchet and Clank reboot and have him break the fourth wall like he always does. Getting the Super Shotgun and BFG in DOOM 2016.

1 AntwortenSpoilers for Final Fantasy XV:
At the end of the game, they show Noctis and Luna finally together. I smiled and nearly cried.
...other than that, basically any time Claptrap does or says anything. Some people find him obnoxious, but I find him hilarious.

1 AntwortenDo I talk too much about Spiral Knights? Because I’m thinking about the first time I heard this song. There’s still something enchanting about it. Yet this is about moments in a game’s story, right? For some reason that’s harder to think of for me. I guess I could start with some of the Doom Slayer’s blunt actions, those earned a chuckle or two. Yet that’s not a full smile, is it? How about the musical interludes from Red Dead Redemption? I guess I did smile then until I ended up dying in some way and having to gallop through without the song. Hm. Did I smile at some of the character interactions in Summon Nights: Twin Age? I think I did. I suppose I’ve often been more of a multiplayer person really. Some of my fondest memories involve Unreal Tournament plays at Mosi Summer Science Camp, playing Doom 3 cooperatively, the MSSC Soul Caliber IV random generation character fights, the many Trackmania Nations Forever LAN parties in my senior year of High School, the times Dirty Bomb execution servers went pure melee with my help, the successful adventures with a london friend in Hunt: Showdown (who I still feel I should try and advertise more since they tend to livestream), or maybe just a few matches that would go on with such silliness that I can’t help but revel in the absurdity.

Realizing I made the right choices in my playthrough to save the Quarian and Geth. First ever VOG finish. Successfully evacing my squad from a hot zone about to be overrun in Dust 514 with a dropship, when they added cloaking, and a few nova knife killing sprees as well. Defeating the ramming ship in AC4. Defeating ace combat 0 on ace difficulty. Messing around with VR for the first time. The Witcher 3 beating the navigator on death march.

1 AntwortenThe ending to Dark Souls for my first ever playthrough. My lord, was the journey brutal.

2 AntwortenHalo 2, when Rtas 'Vadam and Thell 'Vadam regroup after getting revenge on the brutes, not only is it heart warming to see these Rtas relieved knowing that the Arbiter lives, and shortly after you see Johnson sparking the Sangheili/Human alliance that we saw in Halo 3
that and hearing "Grazelands Dawn" in the Morrowind expansion of ESO, so much homage to my favorite song (other than Nerevar Rising) remastered
1 AntwortenNothing in particular that comes to mind, I'm usually just cheerio to play games at all. Don't particularly remember many happy moments of a games story.
