I swear the whiny kids on these forums either can't read or don't bother to read. It clearly states they are providing more ways to obtain the cores needed for Infusion.

You do understand that there was nothing wrong with the system before they added in their unnecessary changes only to limit/bottleneck progression, don’t you?
-
The system before was ridiculously cheap in terms of mmo style leveling up. They responded to us wanting more grind and here it is.
-
Things are always on a scale; if there is such a thing as too little then there is absolutely such a thing as too much. It's about finding a balance between the factors that make the game fun. Yes people wanted a grind but it is still entirely possible to go overkill and add too much, tipping the scale too far in the other direction so to speak
-
Yes and bungie have acknowledged this and are adjusting it. Yet because its not exactly what some people wanted they are up in arms.
-
When people said they wanted more grind, they were referring to random rolls on equipment. Searching for the perfect weapon is a grind by itself. Nobody asked to be gated from using their favorite gear in all meaningful content. Don’t get the wrong idea, I am loving forsaken. I’m not hardcore like some, but I manage. It just bogs down the experience when I realize that if I want to play, say, iron banner, I’ll have to use whatever powerful gear I got this week, even if the rolls are trash or on weapon types I don’t like, which means I will get destroyed not only because I’m under level, but my weapons are unfamiliar to me and my mobility is higher or lower than I’m used to, all because I don’t have enough masterwork cores. Again, I’ll manage, but in terms of fun, this does cause problems for me.

By people you mean some people . Quite a few really don't care how it is now but in the same breath I welcome some more ways to get cores. I get that "people" wanted them removed from entirely. If they were it wouldn't make that much difference as you still need lots of resources to infuse. So what's next from the people? "bungie it costs too many datalettuce to upgrade my weapons!" "bungie it costs too many shards!" before you know it we are back into simple Infusion that means you will spend half your life in destiny simply deleting your rewards like I did for 6 months of playing.

I was referring to the people who wanted a grind, very many of them said things similar to “having random rolls on gear would be better than this. I need something to grind for”. Many may not care, but they also aren’t weighing in because they don’t care, they would just as likely welcome a change that makes it easier to use their favorite gear more often as they would decry it. As it is now, you’re still just dismantling your rewards or infusing them into gear. The difference is that if you have zero masterwork cores, you have to hang onto gear that was made for the garbage pile, and even wear it, because of a likely masterwork core drought. If we’re worried about a slippery slope, then no buff or nerf is ever warranted because what if after they change it, people still want to make the same thing easier or harder respective to earlier buff or nerf. With all that said, a change to this system is needed, and I personally am willing to be optimistic about the compromise bungie has made by promising to add set ways to obtain them. It might even be the best option, we’ll see how it feels when we get it. My opinion is this, though: A grind is good when it is for something that you don’t already have. A grind to maintain an item you already have by spending very rare resources is folly. Something is needed, y1 d2 was basically free so it needed something. 25 shards, planetary materials, and glimmer, that would seem reasonable. Everything is easily farmable and the infusion doesn’t actually level you up, it keeps your gameplay fun. The masterwork cores were the step too far, since there is currently no way to really guarantee them without spending 70 shards for 3 cores, once a week per character. You can spend more shards for more cores, but a newer player would not have so many free shards lying around. Many players played y1 where it was nearly free, so adjustments to expectations needed to be made as well. These two factors are what created the backlash, so really I think bungie is making a smart move by not giving in entirely, although I also understand the groans of the casuals who don’t want yet another thing to grind out for one simple process in the game. All respect, my friend.

Destiny isn’t an MMO. It’s and FPS with MMO aspects, which definitely should not include progression when the core aspect of the game is shooting.
-
Why not? You get plenty of gear to use. Just have to make choices when it comes to the gear you want to take with you to max power. You don't even know how many cores you will be able to earn yet. U gotta put the pitch forks away until you try the new system. If its still awful in your opinion them make some more noise and they will probably put it all back to D2 launch levels of casual bs and the mess will start all over again.

Bearbeitet von ramthesocket: 10/4/2018 10:55:08 AMNoise was made from launch of Destiny 2 about lore, the weapon system and random rolls. Took them a year to change those. Will probably take a month or two to implement this on their schedule.
-
We will see. Until then watch some YouTube guides on getting masterwork cores it's really not that bad.
-
I’ll stay informed, but definitely not YouTube. Half the Destiny Youtubers are bias.
-
I'm not on about opinion I'm in about guides to get masterwork cores currently. No bias in a guide. And don't be so paranoid. Half the destiny YouTube and twitch community left because the game was pants. They are back because they enjoy it now.
-
Not the point. The point is we don’t want the cores in the game.
-
That’s what I’m saying.
-
That's not the issue though
-
Let’s ask ourselves why this wasn’t implemented at launch. Makes us wonder who playtested the game
-
dEs kIdS!
-
You might wanna take that dic* out before you start talking
-
This is in reply to kids who just read "we are changing the name of masterwork cores" and then posted "OMG changing the name isn't a fix bungie, fuk you bungie"
-
It’s not a fix it’s an easy way to piss off players even more tho
-
I swear delusional sheep can’t read it’s not what people wanted. You earned the fastest mute of the day fool
-
What people wanted and what's best for the game are not always the same. Some wanted them removed entirely some wanted more ways to earn them. Sorry if your on the side that wanted them removed but this time you didn't get your way.
