There’s a lot of talk going on about Spectral Blades having a poor hit registration. Now I won’t deny that this is true, but there’s something interesting that you can do with the super to land your hits better.
The poor hit registration occurs mostly when your guardian is attacking while he’s grounded. Generally what can happen is your light attack will not do any damage, or your heavy attack will just miss its target completely.
Here’s the secret to hitting your attacks more accurately:
**JUMP, and then execute your HEAVY attack from the air. The tracking and hit registration is drastically improved while you’re airborne.**
In the clip you’ll see me use a heavy attack from the ground and miss my opponent completely. Right after, I will attempt my attack again but this time I will jump and execute the heavy attack from the air. My nightstalker will lock onto its target and get the kill.
Anyways, I hope this helps you find more success with the super. I still wish the sprint speed or lunge distance was increased, but this is what we have for now.
I ended this video off with a couple of clips of me using this technique in the crucible. After that you’ll see a short clip of me showing why Flawless Execution is such an awesome perk.

3 AntwortenBetter idea: Bungie bringing back Bladedancer. No, a NS skill tree doesn't count.
