Exotics are just a Lil too rare.
Yep I know they'll be those out there that just love to grind for everything, but there's grind and there's GRIND.
I don't mind the grind if I can see a Lil light at the end of the tunnel, like the grind for the Chaperone or Ace of spades, you know if you work at it, and succeed we'll be rewarded.
But with things the way they are now, In theory you could play every day for a year and never get a new exotic, just repeats from year one.😬
Something about this needs a tweak, as all it'll eventually breed is contempt and anger toward the constant repeat drops, and lack of new ones, Edge transit comes to mind, two Prime engrams yesterday, both decrypt into that garbage.
If Bungie can quickly fix the Sleeper due to minor complaints, they should hurry up and fix this as there are literally thousands online complaining, roll on Elder Scrolls 6 and Anthem; save me from this pointless unrewarding grind.

4 AntwortenI don’t mind getting one or two exotics a season . I don’t need every exotic . Just give me one I don’t have . I don’t need another tractor cannon. If you’re gonna make the drops Rare, there shouldn’t be dupes . It’s crushing to get an exotic that’s so rare and you decrypt it and it’s a year one you already have . Man that was crushing to get a damn tractor cannon as my only exotic drop so far . I wasn’t even mad , it’s just sad .

3 AntwortenI'm happy with the exotic drop rates. Genuine excitement getting them now instead of being gifted them over and over like year 1. And Xur, keep selling yr 1 exotics. Cheers.

To start off the Sleeper issue in gambit was not minor... it broke any balance gambit has and the fix is still not in the game yet and if it is then it needs to be looked at again as I every time I go into gambit I last 1 or 2 games before I stop playing due to how boring and stale it is thanks to running into everyone using a sleeper which is point and shoot in the direction of a person and get a kill no skill needed no precision hit needed... the only counter to an invader with a sleeper is to hide which looses you the game 9 out of 10 times or to hope the invader spawned next to you and you have a shotgun... But back onto your topic yes the something needs to be done about the exotic loot pool I hae seen nothing but year 1 exotics drop and after I got the ace of spades the very next exotic I got from a random drop was the ace of spades....

5 AntwortenLet Xur sell an item that guarantees you an exotic you don´t have in your collection when you get one dropped. Or make a Xur bounty for that, I don´t care. I just don´t want any more duplicates. It´s frustrating and takes the fun away. Don´t even get me started on how it turns my excitement down when I see an exotic.

so far my exotics have been 2 new warlock chest pieces, new hunter bow gloves, something for a titan, and 9 exotic sparrow copies of each other that I already had multiples of, and 3 DARCI sniper rifles I would trade them ALL for 1 new exotic weapon

I don't think the rarity is the issue. The issue is that I get year one duplicates instead of anything new. I literally have all year one exotics so why the heck am I getting those at all (and please don't say they aid in power level as that's what powerful engrams are for!). I called for duplicate protection before Forsaken went live! Why was this even left out!

1 AntwortenI think they’ve done a good job so far but my biggest problem is with the duplicate exotic crap I keep getting. It’s sucking out the fun in the game. If you want to make them rare then that’s fine but the duplicate year one crap has got to stop or I’m moving on to other games.

Good post. Agree completely. I find it frustrating how Bungie always goes at things with a sledgehammer and takes thing too far.

I wouldnt say too rare, i would say way too many dups though. This is what happens when bungie cba to make more than 10 new exotics then mixes them with yr1 loot tables.

Bearbeitet von BossManTings88: 9/25/2018 8:04:11 AMIt really doesn’t matter by the time you get one you’ll probably have a handful of guns with so sick rolls on them that work awesome for you so the balance really is will the exotic power be worth it in the end cause I’ve seen people do a lot more damage with just legendaries equipped than using things like 2 tailed and sleeper

4 AntwortenI think exotic rarity should stay the way it is, but there should be some system put in place that prioritizes exotics you don;t already have, or at least increases the chance of you getting one that you don't have. It's one of those issues-that-wouldn't-be-an-issue if it was like this the first day of D2.

Give him weekly bounties that you must complete to earn 3 of coins. Exotics should be the absolute rarest hardest to find gear in the game. Not impossible to find, but rare enough that you feel the need to do weekly bounties for Xur to even stand a chance of finding one. I find buying exotics from Xur to be just about the most unrewarding thing to do in the entire game. I find the 3 of coins method to be the most satisfying. You have a chance, with that chance increasing exponentially each time you use one. Instead of having him sell you 3 of coins let him sell you 10 different bounties each week that you must complete each week in order to get a 3 of coins. It can be any kind of bounty really. But try to make the bounties as interesting and fun as possible. Really shake things up each week, I can't think of anything truly crazy, but these bounties should be as weird as possible and make as much sense as Xur and his masters. Stuff like reaching a difficult spot on the maps using vague clues given by the bounties, and a whole fireteam killing a strike boss using mostly melee attacks. Kill 10 titans in crucible and dance on their corpses but the only hint is "dance with the big one as it cries 0/10 tears". Goofy stuff like that that requires active participation from the community to pull off and solve. Not Lol 30 legendary shards kthanks

I never got the ice breaker, lord of Wolves, queenbreaker and so many exotics in D1 and I put in nearly 1000 hours. You're not entitled to anything. It's week three, you might not get anything at first and then in week 5 the flood gates open. In time it all evens out. Complaining three weeks in though...
