What difference does it really make to you? I don’t get your mentality. Do you want to Lord it over other players that you have this virtual gun that they couldn’t get or something?

Should it be giving to me another way, like a random drop or maybe Xur will sell it. Nope I HAVE TO DO THE RAID TO GET IT. Same should go for the AoS. Same question for everyone is all I'm saying. The easier stuff is to get the less one has to work for it.

Well, I never mentioned raids or raid loot being earned outside of the raid... I wouldn’t expect anyone to be given the Whisper without completing the Whisper mission. This, is about quest design for weapons that are not specific rewards for single activity completion (raid encounters, nightfall etc). For example, you could have a quest step that says, defeat 10 guardians in a row without dying in the crucible or defeat 500 guardians in the crucible. One of those could be nigh on impossible for someone not good at crucible, and the other would be a pain the butt, but they’d get it done eventually
