Hey all,
We’re aware of reports that Sleeper Simulant feels strong in Gambit. The Sandbox team is currently looking at potential changes to help with this. We want to retain the strength of the weapon, but tune it so it doesn’t feel to be the only viable power weapon in this mode.
We’ll provide more details when possible. Stay tuned to official channels for updates.

2 AntwortenJust feels strong? 900 headshot damage to one guardian... Just a little strong. Lol
-
13 AntwortenHIGHLIGHT THE INVADER! SMH... SUCH AN EASY FIX HERE PEOPLE! THEY HAVE DOUBLE OVERSHIELD ALREADY, DON'T GIVE THEM AN INVISIBILITY CLOAK AND THE ABILITY TO CROSSMAP TOE TAP KILL SOMEONE WITH SLEEPER.
-
1 AntwortenI say leave it, although I would never use it in Gambit. The fact is that (just like graviton a few months ago) its the only way to somewhat even the playing field between bad players and people who would mop 'em. At the very least, let the terrible players who crutch it keep it the way it is, but nerf it to the ground for skilled players. Bad players need to feel good too and right now using sleeper makes em feel a little better about the reality of how actually bad they are.
-
Just add a little damage falloff so it doesn’t one shot across the map.
-
4 AntwortenBungie doing what they do best, nerfing fun weapons into the ground. Add sleeper to the long list. RIP.
-
3 AntwortenThis is thorn all over again.
-
Seperate the two modes. Please just seperate the two modes it solves so many problems if youd just do that.
-
I’ve literally walked side to side to avoid the shots from this weapon. It’s not hard to counter either.
-
1 AntwortenId rather just see it locked from pvp and gambit matches instead of it getting messed with

7 AntwortenThe gun is working as intended. Idk why ya would consider this. These crybabies need to learn how to dodge and hide or hunt the invader. Tracking rockets and snipers are 1 shot kills and so are supers. It's like complaining about a golden gun. Stupid people complain for everything. If ya wanna fix something fix heavy ammo finder, fix the whisper mission that no heavy drops, fix the shotgun range of chaperone, fix the duplicate rewards when turning in vanguard and crucible tokens, I can go on I have a list of things that need to be fixed in this game and nerfing sleeper isn't on the list.
-
49 AntwortenWe really don't need it's tracking to be worse. Body shots shouldn't one shot, no matter what. No other linear fusion or sniper does this. If you want to keep it one shot, set the aim assist to nothing and let it hit exactly where you point, or turn down how much ammo drops for such an absolutely absurd weapon in Gambit.
-
How about we make a separate mode of gambit for those who can’t deal with the pvp aspect. Basically gambit with no invader pve only. Call it Barbies -blam!-ing playhouse.
-
9 AntwortenI just switched to the Gambit rocket launcher with Hard Launch (high velocity), Tracking and Quickdraw for a change. It's fun seeing that highspeed rocket homing in on someone cross-map. It also tracks pretty good and has multikill potential if people are close together. Now I don't know if enemies like it better to get oneshot from a launcher from far away but at least it's not the Sleeper. All I have to do is aim at you and press the trigger as soon as I hear the tracking sound. And I think you don't see a red glare like you get from Snipers and the Sleeper. 🤔

Sleeper is still too strong in Gambit. You need to separate PvP and PvE weapons and stop trying to find a balance between the 2 activities. It's ridiculous! Look at fortnite for example of how to do it right. You are powerful as heck in PvE, in PvP the weapons are more "normalized".

7 AntwortenBearbeitet von Mg Snow: 9/24/2018 2:56:38 PMI feel a lot of people strongly hate sleeper and I won't defend it as it can be quite cancerous but I suggest we start trying to make work arounds instead of nerfing things. if you nerf and nerf and nerf then it'll end up like D1 with everything being so watered down that eventually the joke weapons get nerfed, this is because we will always find the next op thing. I feel that we should tweak sleeper so that it only has 1 shot in the mag that does the damage of the original 3 shots so that it can be used as dps but will probably only get 1-2 kills invading because of the reload times. If we nerf sleeper then will people start bodying you with borialis ionic return damage buff by shooting a shielded enemy and then invading. Will they use ace of spades memento mori as it easy to proc and map you with that? Will you get triple bodied by darci from across the map? Bad players will keep finding ways to be bad, if we nerf sleeper these tactics ,while bad and laughable now, will be nerfed too for being "op". It'll happen till we have our shotguns shooting toy darts. Please heed my warning and stop complaining and start suggesting and think of work arounds.

28 AntwortenHonestly the problem isn't so much the sleeper as it is the fact that upon teleporting to the enemy teams side you can see exactly where they are and exactly how many motes they have, that needs to be removed so then invading will actually require skill for them to find and kill you
-
1 AntwortenHey guys... Go Head and "Nerf" Sleeper... I'll just use Queenbreakers Bow.... 6 shots And quicker charge than sleeper... It's more deadlier in Gambit...
-
I think this is missing the overall issue people have with gambit. I feel that the main issue with invading in gambit is the invader having the opposing guardians' location constantly marked. I think you should introduce a mechanism that affects how long the opposing team is marked while you invade. One idea would be to tie to how many motes you have banked to how long you get to see the other guardians, for instance; everyone should get the first 5 seconds free so you can see the general location/mote counts, but then how many motes you have banked before invading will then extend it from there etc. Whatever it is, make it so your effectiveness in the PvE aspect can increase your effectiveness in the PvP aspect. I would also like to recommend that when the Drifter announces "bank and you'll summon a primeval", you can only summon the blocker for the amount of motes your team needs to reach 75. This would/should cause a race to the bank, and eliminate the jerks who go after more motes for a bounty rather than trying to help their team win. Please don't nerf the Sleeper damage, but nerfing the aim assist is a good idea

Bearbeitet von Reclaimer: 9/24/2018 7:24:17 PMSkill Simulant* I’m joking, of course. Sort of. I just thought it was funny, at least.

As a person who grinded out the nodes and worked to obtain this weapon I enjoy it being overpowered. If it wasnt I wouldnt have spent 4 hours grinding to get it.

10 AntwortenBearbeitet von Wendy Of The Woods: 9/25/2018 8:18:35 AMHere is the fix. When you invade you lose all heavy ammo. that way Sleeper stays the same. and encourages players to dump on the primeval, like the should then invade. Adjusting Aim Assist wont fix anything and on pc it wont change. change the game not the gun. but as long the gun is the only option, cause it is, its not gonna feel fun to play. Update: Instead of taking all Heavy Ammo, Just leaves you with one. When you know they have a Sleeper the strat becomes: Just hide, you know like a hero.
-
2 AntwortenIt’s op to one shot someone to the body from basically any range. I think just putting some damage drop off at long distances would be fine and not effect pve at all
-
14 Antwortenjust reduce the -blam!-ing ammo, changing the aim assist isn't going to do ANYTHING.
-
1 AntwortenSleeper is the biggest crutch to date. Everyone uses it, no differentiation in heavy’s.
-
Seriously when can you push this nerf through? The only gun I get killed by in gambit anymore is the Sleeper, mostly from across the map.
-
3 AntwortenSleeper isn't the whole problem, the fact the invader gets a damage buff, an over shield, no AI combatant aggro, and a wall hack. Combine that with a long range one shot that doesn't require precision to get a kill and its obnoxious. The byakugan the invader gets has to be disabled to make it more fair. Being an invader is very low risk, high reward.
