How many posts have been made on this? Masterwork cores should do what their name implies and ONLY be used to masterwork items. I’m fine with the planetary mats, that’s just grinding but Masterwork cores require RNG and unless you have a lot of shards to be used for spider, you are forced to use high level items regardless of how much you like them.

infuse a weapon with an exotic. See what happens after that

Adding MWC's as a cost is just excessive. They're a rare, costly, resource that only drops with a buff, from very particular [i][randomly dropping/i] weapons, and is sold in minute amounts for exponentially increasing amounts if another Infusion resource. The initial D2 Infusion system was more or less fine. They could've just increased Material costs and no one would bat an eye, but Adding MWC's is just a blow beneath the belt.

I feel a # post-storm comming if they mention nothing on next TWAB of how they will fix it.

Dude, I cannot agree more with you on this topic. It is ridiculous to require such a huge amount of mastercore to play all varieties of weapons/gears. Since this game is all about light power level when it comes to PVE, for players without enough time being put into grinding, it is really unfair for us. Please, please remove mastercore from infusion, Bungie!!!
-
I also agree with this request. Adding mastercores to the infusion process has made it a turn off for me. It also takes more of a grind which adds to being burnt out from the game. I could be playing other modes like the crucible, but I know have to waste time form mastercores. Infusing should be a painful process. It really is a ugly and annoying process. Please consider strongly in removing it. Thank you,

3 AntwortenIt's frustrating that you can't ask for something like this, without someone with an elitist attitude coming in with the cliche "you don't want to work for anything" post. It's a thoughtless argument. I do think MW cores should be removed from infusion, but I do realize that infusing was definitely too simple during most of year one. Honestly, I thought it was perfect that week before forsaken dropped. I love the idea of adding planetary mats to the infusion cost. Even raising the legendary shard cost is fine. For that week, when I was picking up chests, completing patrols and doing pubs, I felt like there was finally value to harvesting this stuff. It wasn't difficult to harvest that stuff, but it took time and added value to that passive task/mats, which basically were worthless before. Then when forsaken dropped they added MW cores to the infusion cost, and planetary mats pretty much went back to where they were before. If infusion costs 10 mats and 3 MW cores, it doesn't really matter if you've saved up 400 mats. You'd only be able to use so many before you run out of cores. For a week I liked farming up mats, now I don't really care. Now, I'm not looking for things to be easy here. But I don't think something as simple as infusion warrants a grind like this. I like that Bungie added a cost to it, but I think they overshot. This to me is the number 1 thing that needs to be changed after Forsaken dropped. Solutions: Folks have talked a lot about making MW cores more obtainable, but I actually think that's a bad idea. Where they're at now is perfect for grinding towards masterworking items. That I think is what we should be saving MW cores for, not infusion. If we make them more obtainable for infusion, we in turn make them more obtainable for masterworking, and that undermines that grind. I think removing MW cores from infusion is the easiest, and most obvious solution. Why did Bungie do this?: I understand they wanted to drive players to use more weapons, but trying to control their player base with a method like this seems lazy to me. Just being honest. If you want to create depth in your weapons pool..... how about creating depth in your weapons pool? It's a challenge, but if more weapons were good, and the cream that rises to the top was a wider range of weapons, you wouldn't have to conjure up some artificial solution to try and manipulate players into using more stuff. What you really want(from a developer standpoint) is for that to happen organically, but instead Bungie has tried to force it. Finally, what these arguments usually boil down to is 2 extremes arguing towards their point, much like politics. You get 2 sides, when the solution is probably somewhere in the middle. 1. This is a basic element to the game. I paid $40+ for Forsaken, and we should just get to infuse. 2. Git gud. You crybabies don't want to work for anything. Infusion should be earned, not handed to you. Lets be honest, neither of those viewpoints are entirely accurate. Remove MW cores from infusion, and I think we land in a good middle ground. There's a lot to work for in this game without MW cores being required for this.

Bearbeitet von Soujourn_NL: 9/19/2018 2:05:49 PMCan't agree more, the masterwork cores cost forces you to play with what you drop instead of the weapon you (might) prefer. Unless you are a player that has plenty left from last season (like me) you are screwed. Bungie should fix that a.s.a.p. (and not at next months patch)

1 AntwortenThe MasterWork Core issue needs to be addressed. I have a few pieces of gear I would like to MasterWork, but I hold off on doing so in case I need to Infuse something... The cores drop at a good rate and the purchasing mechanic is also good, for Masterworking gear but not infusing. Hopefully this gets fixed.

1 AntwortenBungie doesn't care...if they can fix an exploit or flaw real fast then what is taking so long to change this.... Real simple remove MWC from infusion.... Done

1 AntwortenIm surprised bungie has not responded to this post with how many upvotes it has.

Make them available to buy from every vendor. Would be nice to buy/trade for materials, glimmer, bright dust, etc... Even if the price is high, at least they could be bought and not rng only
-
I recently started infusing and was like "what the forum cry babies yelling about".....now im 530 im like "oh jesus wept these infusion requirements are BS". Get my upvote

120 AntwortenYes. The whole point of infusion is so you can use the weapons you want to use. Adding MW cores just restricts your play style and sometimes forces you to use weapons you don't like.
-
1 AntwortenNo they should not be removed from infusion. What needs to happen is that you need masterworks cores to be more accessible and easier to farm (Like a guaranteed drop from doing weekly milestones or bounties that give you 3 masterworks cores or so)
-
If bungie really wants to keep a certain amount of player base of this game, they should remove MW from infusion and refund everyone maybe 100-200 cores regardless how many a player has used. It's not like it's going to ruin the economy or something, it will not make the progression of the large community any faster due to the PL restriction. However it will remove a lot restrictions of players' gaming style. Don't be so Blizzard, Bungie. And stop telling players how they should play this game.
-
We have been blowing up Bungie about how stupid and upset we are about this. Have they even responded or commented about it yet? Or typical Bungie silence for an important topic to the community.
-
It's ok to infuse with 1 master core...but more than that. It's too much.
-
I’ve been against this for a while, I enjoyed that infusion wasn’t restricted, but it is honestly a lot to infuse and try to masterwork. I’ve only got one masterworked weapon and it’s because I started the expansion with 40. I really don’t want them to just give us more either, because this masterwork system is supposed to feel more personal.
-
I'm fine with using cores to infuse a non-masterwork into a masterwork, a mastework into another masterwork (if that would ever need to happen), or initially masterworking gear. I agree though that it doesn't make sense to need cores to infuse everyday gear.
-
Totally agree, I don't mind masterwork cores being used to make a peice of gear masterwork but they really shouldn't be used for infusion, must admit I thought they would have learned from the house of wolves when they introduced etheric light etc for unfusion and everyone hated it and eventually Bungie changed it so really hope they do for masterwork cores too!

1 AntwortenLmao over 1.1k upvotes and bungie’s first priority is to nerf sleeper to the ground when no one asked to do it...

omg those upvotes tho

Granted this is from a casual player. This system is way too high of a cost. I played a little bit d2y1. Each release is come back to play the story and would quickly get bored with the lack of variety and solo progression. I have zero master work cores banked. When I play this new expansion in hopes that the reasons I keep getting bored may have gotten better I am immediately smacked in the face with a bottleneck that’s price was established in d1. It worked and wasn’t an issue. Why change it now. It’s borderline abusive

Yes please, for the love of all gaming gods!
