The update the Bungie implemented put the skill gap the D1 had back into the game. If you cannot outplay a shotgunner you are just bad, hit your damn shots hand cannons three-tap once again and the overall kill time of the primary weapons has been increased, grenades also hit as hard as they did in D1. There is no reason to nerf things again, that's how we got to where we were with the first year of D2. Get better at the game, stop complaining.
