Less than 2.5% of crucible Players have the Claymore
Bungie recently stated in the TWAB that less than 9,000 players have the Claymore, which is less than 2.5% of the crucible population (400k daily). It is also less than 1% of the entire Destiny 2 player base.
What happened to 40% getting it? What a failed system
Edit: It is interesting to note that the few defending the current competitive system are mostly elitists &/or people who get paid to do recoveries/carries ($150-$1000 per customer). They cheat the system & prey on players’ desire to obtain the weapon, especially in the limited time-frame it is available.
Edit 2: the user SebastienC did the numbers and it is actually 0.86% of players active in competitive that have the Claymore. What’s the point of producing a unique gun that 99% of the player base will never get? Why not make something for half the players at least?

I could get it but I see no motivation to do so, I do just fine with my setup so why go out my way and get sweaty and rage for no reason I think the majority of the playerbase has the same opinion ?

I’m good with that low number. Maybe it should’ve been more paths to the weapon like ranking up valor 3 times or something. But it shows that only the best and dedicated will be rewarded for that gun. Same with the whisper, you have to be good to get through that initial jumping phase or cheat. It’s okay to not get everything in a game.

I've been put in too many matches already in progress to take it seriously. Too many times my bullets don't register. Etc... when these issues are resolved (i.e. negative points), I'll give comp a try.

I am not gonna pull out my hair and be fkn pissed when i play competive. I do not give a shit about pvp and never will. Wow a weapon that shoots a little faster yeah better get frustared on how many games i am going to lose

I have it. It isn't worth it. V-wing is superior. G-Lance is superior. I never use it unless I'm screwing around. Go for it if you like, but it isn't worth the irritation.

I'm not an elitist and I have seen many Bad players with that gun. It was just a long grind for the gun. Also, the rank list is now really fair with the rank-matchmaking.

4 AntwortenI agree with the previous comment. It’s not meant to be a weapon that just anyone can get. If you want it, you have to work for it. The reason it’s so sought after is because it’s such a good weapon. And the reason it’s so good is because it was meant to be available to the best of the best and no one else. So if you want the Claymore, I hate to say it but get good and get to work.

I got it without trying...and considering the V-Wing or Graviton...there’s zero reason you’d ever want to use the Claymore. It’s terrible.

In 40 years of gaming this is the worst pvp I have ever played, not dogging anyone who enjoys it but even if i did i doubt i would grind for this and a catalyst that may or may not drop .
