So in 10hrs, there hasn't been one taken blight public event. Honestly, if your random public event generator worked, the chances of this happening would be like winning lotto, near impossible.

The event its self should be challenging, it is enjoyable and bad ass. Sadly, the waiting around for the event to happen is actually the most challenging part. I am blessed, the waiting for the blight PE wait is behind me. Having to do a heroic version 3X of the exact same mission seems like a unimaginative way to draw this mission out. Bungle might be the greenest company on the planet with how much they recycle. I will admit the whole oracle side piece is cool. I love the VOG nostalgia. I do not believe Bungle one bit when they said they were looking into this. Their "looking into it" statement felt like a cheap way to shut people up without having to look into anything. If this was an issue with Eververse, the issue would have been solved within a day. Bungle has some of the most talented people in the industry, I know they could fix this problem in no time if they cared.

5 AntwortenDid bungie even say it was 50/50 split between cabal and taken events? Or did that come from wishful thinking and optimism?

1 AntwortenBearbeitet von sixcrowsilver: 7/30/2018 5:52:45 PMI haven't personally seen anyone complain about how difficult the quest is. I haven't personally seen anyone complain that it's time-gated to only the weekends. Honestly, I'd say the quest is actually easier and more convenient than the D1 version if you only consider those two points. Where I feel the design falters is with the poor RNG required to initiate the quest. This is the only thing I've seen people complain about, and I believe it is reasonable/justified to do so. If an event is time-gated to a 72-hour period every week, it's not logical (IMO) to have an RNG starting point that could be -- and often is -- unavailable for several hours during that limited timeframe... especially without the players knowing whether the delay will be 30 minutes or 4+ hours. Now imagine if Bungie came out and said, "There are guaranteed to be blights Friday 1-4pm, Saturday 7-10 pm, and Sunday 4-7pm. There may or may not be blights at other times." Some players would obviously still complain, but I think that would be a much more fair time-gate system, because it would allow people to try to plan around specific times. p.s. I have the gun. On my hunter for proof.

1 AntwortenStarted up the game, went to IO with a fireteam (friends) and I think we have waited for 10 minutes and got the Blight, and got the Whisper. Did it again for the second time for another friend, waited like 5 minutes and got the Blight. Got the Quest. Dit it again the next day for another friend, after waiting for 2:30 hours we got the blight and got the Quest. It's totally Random and I think you need to be lucky idk.

8 AntwortenBearbeitet von WulfPak666: 7/30/2018 10:11:49 AMSo, do people just like.. sit in Lost Oasis for literally 10hrs or are y'all just tossing out numbers to get clicks? If people honestly sit in Io for 10hrs straight waiting for a pub, how do they do it? I get bored and play something else after about 30mins.

Cabal again? With their earth shaking, concentration shattering machinery...

15mins with NO PE and oh wait another cabal

I practised the jumps solo before I used lfg to find a group. I ran the jumps and cleared the room solo, every time I finished one and I got back to Io there was another taken blight either just starting or started. I must of been lucky.

so far ive been here for 5 hours and have had 2 maybe 3 not sure (too long ago since last one)...and prolly 13 cabal...its taking ages between them and its just been cabal for the last 10 or 11...getting kinda annoyed, and yea the whole time ive been planet side

3 AntwortenI've noticed that what public event spawns depends on who the fire team leader is. I could be completely wrong but I hadn't gotten the taken blight event to spawn until my friend was the fire team leader and it continued to spawn for him. Like I said earlier I have little to no evidence of this being true.

Bearbeitet von Alvin Guernsey: 7/30/2018 6:34:19 AMA message to all the naive people defending this. Having 15 consecutive taken blight public events doesn't balance out the fact that there was 15 consecutive cabal public events. You only need 1 taken blight event to activate the mission so you're not sitting around for 4 hours doing nothing. Having 15 taken blight is pointless. Having 3 cabal then 3 taken blight is useful. There are 4 locations (public events) in the lost oasis. 3 of them are taken blight. Therefore you should have a 1 in 4 chance of getting a cabal drop ship public event. Doesn't quite add up as RNG when it comes in 15 times, one after the other does it? This isn't purely an RNG issue. This is a Bungie issue. The drop rates of strike weapon catalysts is RNG. The drop rates of escalation protocol is RNG. Bungie have just said that they have altered the coding so that the longer you participate in these events the better your chances of the weapons dropping. They are manipulating the "RNG" all the time so they know they have the ability to alter the 4 hour repeating public event streaks. The fact they know about this last week proves that these streaks are a deliberate ploy. They would be better off telling the truth as opposed to assuming their players are stupid. They have previously announced that they have no control over what Xur sells each week cos it's "RNG", yet when Prometheus lens was broken in PvP it was a happy coincidence that xur sold that weapon that very weekend? Mmmyeahok. I have the gun, but as a friend and I enjoy the mission we took clan members/friends through over the weekend. We then went on LFG offering to take people through. The post was as popular as an escalation protocol post. I had 9 people apply within 30 seconds. We invited 2 to party at a time last night. Only had 1 taken blight event appear in 4 hours. This is clearly a deliberate mechanic from Bungie. This game/company name has been dragged through the mud recently and they now have a mission that is great fun to run and yet they decide to wreck it by doing this. Stunning.

9 AntwortenYou have to understand... I have the weapon, so its ok if no blights are spawning.

2 AntwortenIf you read the Twitter post by Bungie... They said that there will be periods of mostly Cabal Excavations and periods of mostly Blights. There's no point in hanging around on Io. Find an excavation? Check back in an hour.
