Choose a singular game that you think has the best music in gaming.
I'm going with Halo 2. A mix of rock and mystery is amazing to me.
And if you want to do a top 3, leave it to one game per series.

FFXIV has some of the most epic music I've ever heard. Halo is great too.

Destiny. Dragon Age: Inquisition. Halo 3.
-
Destiny Halo Elder scrolls
-
Nier Automata - one of the best soundtracks in recent years. Final Fantasy XIV - Not only is the soundtrack like a "best of Final Fantasy", the original pieces are fantastic in their own right. The only "bad" songs are some of the primal themes, but I find them so cheesy I love them. Metal Gear Solid 3 - SNAAAAAKE EATER

2 AntwortenDestiny 1 Halo 1-3 Doom I was also a fan of the music from Arkham Origins. I recall ME2 having good music as well, but maybe it was just that one amazing trailer.
-
Destiny FFXIV (because of the ending cutscene)
-
Kingdom Hearts (either BBS or 2) Destiny 1 Bloodborne
-
dark souls

Of course Doom. Cheers, LEXX

Not exactly my most loved soundtrack, but it’s so funny every time I hear it. It’s just circus music that’s been jacked up to 11 with rock and roll metal. It’s just hysterical

6 AntwortenTbh, CoD of all places has some decent stuff. I'll point to Infinite Warfare simply because I find it underrated in general.

Tie. Destiny 1 and Horizon Zero Dawn. Honorable Mention: Destiny 2.

> Dragon Quest 8: The Journey of the Cursed King (PS2 version, the 3DS features a MIDI version of the OST which doesn't sound nearly as good). Just go listen to Heavenly Flight from the DQ8 OST and tell me the hairs on the back of your neck don't stand up after the first 30 seconds or so. The rest of the soundtrack stays at that consistent level of quality throughout your whole journey; from the sombre Remembrances to the grand Majestic Castle, and finally the bombastic yet catchy War Cry, Dragon Quest 8 definitely has some of my fondest tunes in gaming. > Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance The Boss themes. 'nuff said. > Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt ( + DLCs) This games soundtrack just blows me away every time I listen to it. I especially love how a lot of the songs stick heavily to the Polish roots of many of the characters and monsters, fully immersing you in the world and culture of the Northern Realms. Personal favourites include: - Skellige Isles music - Both Silver for Monsters and Steel for Humans - Olgierd von Everec's battle theme; - Gaunter O' Dimm theme - The Wolven Storm (Priscilla's song) - Lullaby of Woe

I really love the Journey sound track. It's so haunting at times but also so calming and peaceful.

Destiny 1 has some really great music. Skyrim and Halo I have some very nostalgic attachments to the soundtracks

Difficult choosing between Destiny (1) and Undertale...

If I had to choose and only had five seconds to do it, I'd probably go with either Silent Hill 2 or Deus Ex.
