Think of all the time and resources that it took for Bungie to make a PC version of D2, just to try and double dip on a few loyal fans... And all for this. A dead player base. Wasted potential and resources.
Console FPS never fair well on PC and D2 was no exception to the rule.
And bungie now have to support this dead platform for the next 2 years at least.
Lets be clear here, these horrid trials numbers (6k for the week on PC) are indicative of the entire population: Very much dead.

13 AntwortenWith what PC gamers expect these days, I believe the entire PC release is/was a waste of resources. As mentioned, numbers are down, but many are awaiting the reinvigoration of September’s DLC

I’m missing the part where this is anything but Bungie’s issue to deal with, that is if they even believe it is an issue. My xbox version of the game hasn’t gone out in sympathy so please enlighten me, does this impact you somehow?

.... You do realize Bungie didn't touch the PC port right?

It also has a scrub amount of aim assist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yj0Z2-BNlhY

I don't own a console... I only have a laptop I got a few years back. Say what you will about the playerbase count on the PC platform but m I am very glad Bungie released Destiny 2 on PC as it allowed me a platform to play this game on. I do wish they released D1 over at PC too because I am very curious about how the mythos in the first game was presented. That said, ever since I bought the game about a month ago, I'm having a ton of fun with it. I got to meet so many people over at Discord, got into many groups. It's fantastic!

2 AntwortenTrials is a horrible way to gauge the player population on d2. No radar d2 trials -blam!-ing sucks to play, even on console the trials pop. Has taken a nosedive.

4 AntwortenI think Bungie was thinking long-term when they ported D2 to PC's. PC games tend to last forever since OS backwards compatibility is available thru VM's, while console games die when their console versions are retired. How many PS3 and original Xbox games are still fully supported by PS4's and Xbox-1's?

9 AntwortenNope, nope, and no. Also, nah. Been playing on PC all day due to PS wank and having a little Warlock girl needing love and levels. Far more populated than January. Quickplay MM noticeably slower than PS4 and waiting for a comp match took a ciggy or three; but dead it ain't. And it never was a waste IMO.

17 AntwortenNope pc players just won’t stick around for a bad game we leave until it’s actually good

23 AntwortenIsn't that just trials?
-
14 AntwortenYou know Bungie hired another company to make the port, right?
-
1 AntwortenThat’s just trials, not the whole player base. But yeah, it’s bad

Looks to me that they tried to pull the wool over our eyes like they did console gamers and pass a half a55ed game off for a few years and they got bit, and got bit HARD. Hopefully they learned a lesson. We'll see in September.
